I'd like to explore developing a
Quaker (nontheist Friend - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nontheist_Friend),
Grameen (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grameen_Bank),
American Friends Service Committee (afsc.org),
OLPC (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Laptop_per_Child),
Rainbow (www.welcomehere.org/gathering_of_the_tribes/annual),
Online Bank (like Vanguard Mutual Funds) for the Poorest countries & people
as part of worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/World_University
Fair {e.g. integrity and fiduciary responsibility}, online, easy to use, .01 minimum balance or less, accessible through an internet capable cell phone device, especially for One Laptop per Child countries, and with a focus on service.
If it's on the same web page as free, open teaching and learning, it will bring banking (see Kristof's NYT's article which suggests this is very important: "Sparking a Savings Revolution" December 31, 2009 - nytimes.com/2009/12/31/opinion/31kristof.html) and learning opportunities to many.
