Clownfish-Sea Anemone Symbiosis: GLAM-Wiki, Wikipedia institutional partnering, and Wiki MIT OCW-centric World University and School

Hi Dorothy,

Thank you for your post in Reed College's Switchboard social networking site - https://reed.switchboardhq.com/posts/3856-seeking-institutional-partners-interested-in-wikipedia - about GLAM-Wiki - https://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/GLAM - and Wikipedia institutional partnering possibilities.

I enjoyed the first 15 minutes of your video -

Wikipedia & Cultural Heritage Institutions: Opportunities for Partnership - Dorothy Howard

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRoTz7PTNkM - which I've also added to World University and School at the following wiki pages (to give you an idea of how WUaS is organized, as well), but can't stream video very well at all where I'm located for the next 3 weeks unfortunately to see the rest of it presently.

"Library Resources" (planned for free, open libraries, and eventually in each of all 7,106 + languages) -

"Museums" (also planned for free, open online museum content, and eventually in each of all 7,106 + languages) -

"Wiki" wiki subject page at WUaS

"Library Science" wiki subject page at WUaS, which may become an academic, and in many large languages -

MIT OCW-centric Creative Commons' licensed World University and School, which is also a wiki for open teaching and learning, is planning to offer its first free online undergraduate bachelor's degree course of study beginning in autumn 2015, where high school students would take 32 MIT OCW courses online - http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/audio-video-courses/ - at "The College at World University and School" ... http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/The_College_at_World_University_and_School .

And WUaS would like to become the Stanford / MIT / Harvard / Oxbridge of the Internet in all 7,106 languages and 242 countries with time.

WUaS would also like to become a significant employer worldwide, and hire Reedies as interns. WUaS also plans to build upon Reed’s conference method in Google + group video Hangouts, for example -  http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Conference_Method_of_Teaching_and_Learning .

Please have a glance at the 12 main areas WUaS plans to develop in here - http://worlduniversityandschool.org - for an overview, as well.

I'm curious to learn about your thoughts about institutional partnership vis-à-vis Wikipedia and WUaS. WUaS is particularly interested in moving to and developing in MediaWiki / Wikidata / Wikibase, the new CC database that Wikipedia folks have created over the past year and a half.

Thank you and looking forward to further communication.

I’ve enjoyed going to Reed reunions in recent years. What did you enjoy particularly about your time at Reed?

Cheers,
Scott
