What are your thoughts about Brexit, M?

I'm trying to get clearer in my mind what dictatorship Gerd (a friend and a smart synthetic biologist Ph.D. based in Berlin - he's in the 2nd video here ... http://scottmacleod.com/papers.htm) was alluding to, when he said the British Brexit vote broke up a European dictatorship. Was this referring somehow to Russia's relationship with Germany, and Schäuble or Steinmeier coming to power after Merkel with Germany at the center of an EU superstate/superpower, and possibly even Putin? Or was this about a dominant German government without a democratic European Union process ? Hope to post further from a smattering of social media posts about Brexit on July 4th re - http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2016/06/tilia-german-capital-votes-to-divest.html (June 27, 2016) ... saw an interesting Der Spiegel article today on Twitter pointing to Germany's concerns about Russia ...

The last sentence here translates as "It's about Brexit - and about Russia."

In the EU disarray brought on by Brexit, is there a EU democracy opportunity the Brits would engage, and which would benefit the UK economically - and nationhood or identity-wise? (Re my big project, how about a free CC MIT OCW-centric major university (a Harvard/Stanford/ MIT) in each countries' main language that might in part help focus these democratic EU questions further?)

Finished indexing my ~550 page Harbin book a few days ago, I'm glad to say - http://www.scottmacleod.com/ActualVirtualHarbinBook.html. Now I'm going - bleh- through the index again for further accuracy and excellence. After page 300, quite a number of entries are 2 pages off ... blah ... and many entries have 50 or more page numbers ...
