Heard philosopher of mind David Chalmers (an Australian at NYU) just now on the virtual and the real at Stanford - https://events.stanford.edu/events/698/69825/.
David Chalmers, Symbolic Systems Program 2017 Distinguished Speaker: "The Virtual and the Real: Philosophical Issues About Virtual Reality"
Amazing that his talk was so closely parallel with my actual-virtual Harbin Hot Springs' ethnography "Naked Harbin Ethnography" ... Harbin Hot Springs' Ethnographic Book http://bit.ly/HarbinBook ... Visit the virtual Harbin gate here - https://twitter.com/HarbinBook.
His analysis of the virtual and the real is western analytical philosophy (not entirely harmonious memes, with distinction after distinction, but fascinating - and David and I will stay in touch as WUaS and I hope to create a realistic virtual Harbin/earth/universe for STEM research :) relating directly to a main theme of my Harbin book :) ... Stanford is amazing.
