Hi E,
Greetings from Reed - nice to be here. Interesting to see that people are maturing, while remaining liberal, progressive and fairly hippy (radical too) even. Nice especially to connect with olde friends, some of whom I haven't talked with for decades, like a woman named Bridget W, who lived in the Woodward Street house with good friends Nancy L and Mike O (who got married in the Quaker Meeting here) while I was living not far away in the Brooklyn Street house with Reed friends.
Curious how to explore helping (my potential) grandkids and great grandkids develop careers (re George's thinking and his own kids/grandkids) ... There's a bit of chaos perhaps here at Reed and everywhere about planning for/ thinking about raising grandkids, etc. - schools for educational thinking culture, and family resources, post topsy turviness of 1960s and 70s - and the Desiderata - http://mwkworks.com/desiderata.html ? Writing and language (Lacan)? Making the world a better place?
Appreciating your thinking from Reed , Ed, too as a caring friend re our friendship/understanding conversation,, as well as having and raising your own family.
... My family like yours has a history of MDs. Maybe the culture of Stanford will somehow play a role here.
"The future is ahead," ... and Reed is behind, a good network and possibly passively for WUaS (and possibly actively, too, if we could hire Reedies), - with interesting, creative, thinking, communicative people.
(I hope both WUaS's and my financial situations improve soon, although WUaS may be getting off the ground well not having had money for 10 years. Yet with more money, I might more easily be able to begin a family - WUaS monthly business meeting meets in a few hours).
How is your week going? How are you?
Fond regards,
Scott
