Hi Ralph, Julio, Mohamed, Suzana, Artur, and Juan,
Thanks so much for your email just now, Ralph. It looks like we emailed from about 11/28/2015 to 3/26/2016 and re our English speaking learning in group video Hangouts. How are you in Venezuela? The weather isn't too bad in winter in the SF Bay Area. World Univ & Sch has gotten our new wiki and here's the new ESL wiki page - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/English_as_a_Second_Language - which anybody can edit. (And here's the related https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/English_as_a_Second_Language_for_Kids).
I'm checking out the Lego Robotics' WeDo 2.0 - https://education.lego.com/en-us/products/lego-education-wedo-2-0-core-set/45300. It works with the Scratch drag and drop programming language - https://scratch.mit.edu/download - from MIT. (Both involve a couple of other pre-software installations).
I found We Do 2.0 Lego for Education on Harvard Prof. Karen Brennan's Twitter feed recently - https://twitter.com/karen_brennan ...
and re a We Do 2.0 and Scratch Meetup in the city where my parents lived when I was born - https://twitter.com/TOTALTeacher/status/969993653568589824.
We Do 2.0 is potentially usable in an actual-virtual way - https://twitter.com/SpeakkVisually/status/957331694452969472 and https://twitter.com/scratch/status/969333088575684609 - with Scratch programming of the Lego. Cool. I posted all of these tweets here recently - https://twitter.com/WorldUnivAndSch.
If you got a set of We Do 2.0 Lego Education Robots for your son (and if I get a set too), would you like to explore building Lego robots remotely and as ESL for Kids - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/English_as_a_Second_Language_for_Kids - remotely?
This is an ONLINE Robotics, Programming and ESL for kids' learning opportunity all in one :)
Let's see if we can make further the world a better place to live. (Organizing remote WeDo 2.0 / Scratch Meetups in Spanish might be a further opportunity here, but people would need to get the WeDo 2.0 Legos). Does your son already have access to some Lego?
Cheers,
Scott
PS It would be fun to connect Lego bricks to words and syllables and letters - and even in all 7,097 living languages.

The Lego WeDo 2.0 robotics set https://education.lego.com/en-us/elementary/shop/wedo-2 … works w Scratch, I've heard. So you can begin programming w Lego https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2018/03/aesculapian-snake-online-robotics.html … See Videos

Tinkering with realtime world creation in @Scratch. Character on the screen is coded to interact with different colored objects. (Black is floor. Red is lava. Green is the goal.) Kids can be creating and coding these worlds simultaneously in realtime. pic.twitter.com/giiR6HCmNR— Eric Schilling (@SpeakkVisually) January 27, 2018
