Stein & Mette - Meeting on UC Berkeley campus
Norwegian Anthropologist Friends

Hi Stain & Mette,
How are you doing? How is Tromso in July? Or are you both farther north 'in the field'? How is Norway in the coronavirus pandemic time?
I drove by the now closed & character-wondrous SmokeHouse in Berkeley, took a photo, but can't seem to find it now. How are you kids and grandkids?
And here are some articles by you, Stein, in Academia.edu that I received which sparked my interest in emailing you.
Thank you for sharing these with me.
I'm attaching some photos of us from Jan 30 2016 (also my father's birthday - GKM MD) when we had fun driving around Berzerkeleye together :)
Seeking to get back into the field at Harbin Hot Springs, but there's a CA state-wide stay home order in place. For my next actual-virtual Harbin Hot Springs' ethnographic book, I'd like to actually create a realistic virtual Harbin Hot Springs for field work, and for ethno-wiki-virtual-world- graphy - https://scott-macleod. blogspot.com/search/label/ ethno-wiki-virtual-world- graphy - perhaps inventing publishing anew with printing to paper from text in the sidebar of Google Street View even :)
Am working on my 4th book of poetry for this autumn (my fifth book), as well as my first Scottish Small Pipes' album as well, and the book potentially to be published in the Academic Press at World University and School - https://www.amazon.com/ author/ scottmacleodworlduniversity.
Am very glad that the Academic Press at WUaS and its WUaS Educational Services' Store is now carrying Lego Robotics -
http:// worlduniversityandschool.org/ AcademicPress.html ! Amazing. I hope WUaS can grow into all ~200 countries for 'Home Robotics' - and here's a UC Berkeley talk I gave about - "Harbin & Avatar Bots: Robotics & Tourism" - regarding my actual-virtual field site, Harbin Hot Springs in northern California (have either of you ever visited Harbin?) -
http://scott-macleod.blogspot. com/2018/02/indian-fig-uc- berkeley-harbin-avatar.html . Although the Tourism Studies' Working Group (TWSG) is dormant now, due to the coronavirus pandemic, I'm continuing to be active in the (TWSG) at UC Berkeley - http://tourismstudies.org/ People.htm#SM.
Am also reading these Norwegian newspapers some, thanks to Google Translate (which the Academic Press at WUaS seeks to grow with, potentially for publishing in all 7,117 known living languages). Google Translate is good and getting better!
Are there any you might suggest otherwise?
Am continuing to seek to develop a realistic virtual earth for anthropology - https://twitter.com/hashtag/ RealisticVirtualEarthForAnthro pology?src=hashtag_click - and in 1 realistic virtual earth for everything - https://twitter.com/hashtag/ RealisticVirtualEarth?src= hashtag_click - and here's a map of field sites from the anthropology library at UC Berkeley -
https://twitter.com/ sgkmacleod/status/ 1176985961848135680?s=20 - which would be a great initial focus for this. Shall we head to the far north of Norway sometime, and add your field sites into Google Street View with TIME SLIDER / Maps / Earth / TensorFlow / Translate with realistic avatar bots like Samsung Neons aka 'artificial humans' and group-build-able like SL ... and with a Film-to-3D application? :)

Anthropology dissertations in the #UCBerkeleyAnthroLibrary How to move these into #RealisticVirtualEarth #RealisticVirtualEarthForAnthropology for ongoing research even & via https://t.co/Zju4211PXw ? & re My @HarbinBook in library's collection pic.twitter.com/SUKvVYpp4G

It would be wonderful to see you all here in the SF Bay Area again soon-ish! Any travel plans on your horizon?
Happy 4th of July from America! :) Here's a 'Boston Tea Party song' - https://scott-macleod. blogspot.com/2019/10/tea- camellia-sinensis-bring-eric. html - I wrote not long ago : ) Freedom online? I think so - and to be explore ethnographically!
Warmest regards,
Scott

Hope to see and talk with you again soon!

A bit) * * * American Revolution - Boston Tea Party ship * * * Selling my 'Naked Harbin Ethnography' book in the Harbin Hot Springs' bookstore itself?
