Stanford Medicine talk - “Toward a National Strategy for Implementing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Primary Care”
Dear Dr. Lin,
Greetings, and thanks so much for your excellent online Stanford Medicine talk today - “Toward a National Strategy for Implementing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Primary Care”
Thursday, February 10th, 2022 12:00 to 1:00 pm “Toward a National Strategy for Implementing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Primary Care”
"Thanks for your excellent talk, Dr. Lin! You mentioned in your beginning conversation about primary care longitudinal medicine. If both aging reversal genetic engineering drug therapies as well as longevity genetics emerge, - and with AI - and even regarding Avatar Bot Electronic Medical Records, how would primary care medicine with regards to your AI proposal best navigate these remarkable developments in long term health care? How would this change your plan and thinking? (e.g. Harvard HMS and MIT Professor of Genetics' George Church even mentions the word 'immortality' in a video here - https://twitter.com/WorldUnivAndSch/status/1482057007691538434?s=20) So, brainstorming-wise, how could AI help regulate the amount and kinds of genes added back into individuals? Thanks, Scott GK MacLeod (sgkmacleod@worlduniversityandschool.org, planning ~200 online CC-4 MIT OCW-centric Medical Schools in ~200 countries and in their main languages)
(Great, Blackford … brainstorming-wise, what about a realistic virtual earth for medicine and also for tele-robotic surgery with electronic medical records in all 200 countries (am thinking Google Street View with time slider, Maps, Earth, TensorFlowAI and realistic avatar bots) for data aggregation?)
+1 Steven and Blackford, what about developing an AI strategy further with Google Health, with Stanford Medicine and Duke Medical School study emerging from Google’s Project Baseline, with TensorFlowAI ?
And in voice too: "Steven, you mentioned in your beginning conversation about primary care longitudinal medicine. If both aging reversal genetic engineering drug therapies as well as longevity genetics emerge, - and with AI - and even regarding Avatar Bot Electronic Medical Records, how would primary care medicine with regards to your AI proposal best navigate these remarkable developments in long term health care?" "
Thanks so much, Dr. Lin!
Best regards,
Scott
PS
Further thinking here about developing online AI Medical Schools in a sense, with AI teaching hospitals too -
And here too is the AI wiki subject pages at CC-4 MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Artificial_Intelligence - with some AI courses, eventually for credit at WUaS toward free-to-students' MD degrees in ~200 countries languages, and also for Ph.D., Law, Bachelor, and IB high school degrees. I hope perhaps that we might graduate many students with the AI and machine learning knowledge that might help further with your vision and planning - and in all ~200 countries.
Thanks again so much, Steven!

Brainstorming-wise, WUaS, still in startup mode is exploring developing an Academic Medical Center on the ridge in the East Bay MUD in Canyon
partly for a WUaS Longevity Genetics' institute, and partly for planning for developing Avatar Bot Electronic Medical Records for all 7.9 billion people on the planet, each a Wikidata Pin #.
How might we communicate further about this as well, Steven, and Jonathan?

But how would one begin to conceive of 'natural doping' ie without substances but neurophysiologically which the artist creates or generates - genetically even - in her own brain and bodymind? Could you even begin to measure such - and in Avatar Bot Electronic Medical Records and also regarding a realistic virtual earth for brain science and genetics? :)

Rare Therapies: a whole new era of genetic medicines
We were already bowled over by the ease with which a few male figure skaters were hitting their quadruple jumps—and then along comes 15-year old Kamila Valieva with not one but two successful quads in her program, the first time any woman has landed a quad in Olympic competition. Perhaps a banned substance made that possible, but as these games clearly show, the combination of our science, technology, and training continues to enable the already genetically gifted among us to push the boundaries of what is humanly possible. Maybe someday this week’s explosive controversy over a banned substance will seem like a quaint footnote in the history of our evolution to whatever our species becomes next.
Human trial of calorie restriction reveals potential anti-aging target Severely restricted diets of 50 percent fewer calories than normal diets were discovered to induce longer lives in laboratory animals as far back as 1935, but translating that into a longer human lifespan is fraught. There may be negative trade-offs—like stunted growth, loss of gray matter in the brain, impaired immunity, and bone density loss—not to mention the simple fact that many people would never follow such a severe diet. But maybe they won’t have to. Analyzing the effect of moderate caloric restriction (14 percent) on people in a clinical trial called Long-Term Effects of Reducing Intake of Energy (CALERIE), a team of researchers at Yale discovered the diet lowered levels of an immune system protein known as platelet activating factor acetylhydrolase (PLA2G7). They report that deactivating the Pla2G7 gene in normal-feeding mice mimicked the effect of calorie restriction and improved their metabolic health, which suggests targeting it in people could do the same. Canyon, and talking with the guy in the truck
Ma, Ed, Pin, Alden,
Greetings! Went over to Orinda and Canyon yesterday to check mail, pick up new long Birkenstock sandals (and health insurance renewal tax documents+), and saw someone I know a bit driving home in a big white pick-up truck as I was coming out of the post office. A nice guy (is Ian his name?), whom I don't know well but we've chatted on the road over the years in a friendly and even somewhat sincere way (where sincerity isn't something I have experienced too much of with others in Canyon where there's a hint of upside down badness in the air for me culturally over the years).
Stopping briefly, he said he had been hiking with his wife north of Berkeley, last weekend, near San Pablo Dam after I said I was living North of Berkeley. (Concocted stories can be a 'trip' in Canyon too). Why do you like Canyon he asked (why did he ask me this?) - because it's beautiful I said. 'Sardonically,' he echoed me (echoing too previous mentally ill former landlord??) "The environment is beautiful" ...
As he departed he held up the back of his hand with 2 fingers together, index and middle finger - what's the meaning? - and I held up a 2'fingers' peace sign (not victory sign or any other gestural meaning), in reply, pulling down the tie dye handkerchief mask
I was wearing for most of the talking with him.
Living North of Berkeley is a good place he seemed to suggest in our brief chat.
Was he signing 2 as 1 together as friends? Our talk was brief. What's the lingo here?
In 'libertarian' Canyon, he scooted off up behind the private community sign in his truck, and up the first steep little hill road. But he was saying 'hi' ... am glad to say, community-wise in a way.
I haven't talked with many folks at all when picking up the mail there in the past 17 months ... Previous mentally ill landlord is part of the community of Canyon's individuals ... Re this guy's 2 fingers together hand sign - And t.w. is scary too (Ed's word for Canyon at one time) ... And did i.s. of canyon in communication with t.w. kill . at a marina years' ago? Speculatively, If w. were somehow heading into a secure retirement facility, in a police car with flashing lights (which I saw in Orinda a little later not far from district 7 state senator's office), could t.w. arrange with not the guy I was talking with but someone else a kind of attack from afar? If K. had become kind of mean, and was threatening both of them ... there could have been an 'ecology' to this drama which l. w. made up a different alibi for (or could the hand sign refer to father and daughter together) ...when I said to her I thought or I had heard K. died in the marina, and wrote this in an email to them too I think (documenting this).
First interpretation of this person's fingers - a sign of together-ness (he and I) in Canyon mess ... And I don't know what this guy knows about former landlord's dastardly deeds or badness (somewhat inferred) from WITHIN Canyon's community of critters (criminals too?)
So somewhat isolated or something, am not sure what is happening regarding giving notice possibly by the end of the month here north of Berkeley and regarding the law, both State and federal (and I have not a clue about any possible legal proceedings with Canyon unfolding ... and re kids or drugs too, for example) ... and Canyon ... and 'clean up' with some possibly tragic history in all of this. Just sharing some thoughts in writing (to use language in this situation) and regarding possibly possibly moving into Canyon again in the spring.
And could I even come into ownership of the property at 670 Ridgecrest Rd Canyon on the ridge and could this MIT Chinese Professor of Urban and Real Estate Sustainability Siqi Zheng

... because the very property I lived on in Canyon for about 13 years could have somehow played a central role - due to mentally ill former landlord - in the illegal sex industry internationally and its latent networks of violence - even since around 1969 when he may have been there (camping out at first?) ... But how to abolish the illegal sex industry there further?
And could MIT Rafael Reif's stepping down - he has a Stanford PhD and could possibly have participated in HAI Human Awareness institute love intimacy and sexuality workshops even for example - put him in a position regarding management of illegal sex (& rec drugs?) industry internationally out of MIT itself and re fundraising there too ? Re gray areas of the law - federal, state and international - too? Very speculatively ...

Dear Pin, Sue, Ma, All,
As some of you may read, I just inquired after a Harvard Archaeology talk (and the presenter received her PhD from Pitt - see below too), about a realistic virtual earth for archaeology, and the possibility of Harvard Archaeology courses on World Univ & Sch's archaeology pages ... since MIT itself, and thus MIT OCW, doesn't have much archaeology at all let alone courses. I'm not sure if I'll hear back from them, but at least I may have planted these seeds. :)
It occurred to me to inquire further - in seeking to create a realistic virtual Harbin ethnographic field site on East Bay MUD lands where an old rusted cattle watering tank is (which Sue saw when she came to visit me in Canyon!, but Pin didn't! :) not far from 670 Ridgecrest Road - if Harvard Archaeology might be available to do an archaeological dig there too, to unearth any artefacts (a requirement in many US states interestingly ... with robotic archaeologists eventually?) before 3 or 4 or further pools might go in there (in a similar configuration to these same Harbin pools in its Mainside pool area - for virtualization purposes), with related satellite, camera and similar Physical-Digital, Actual-Virtual Virtual Reality information technologies (even to create this site in the shop at 670 Ridgecrest Canyon 94516 even, with planetarium lamp projector bulbs:?), might be developed. If Harvard Archaeology and not Berkeley or Stanford Archaeology did this, there might be all kinds of collateral benefits re knowledge, technologies, even funding, etc.. And I'm also exploring brainstorming-wise, as you may have read, seeking to create an Academic Medical Center :) - along with a WUaS Longevity Genetics' institute, and a hippy commune - on the nearby ridge in Canyon, and possibly collaborating with Stanford and Kaiser Permanente (eg http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2022/01/punch-bowl-falls-oregon.html)
Roll a hot tub into the shop in Canyon and visit virtual Harbin in digital masks, or with MIT Media Lab light bulbs creating a surrounding effect of being at Harbin itself (and even for film sets! ?) - and over a nice wooden yoga and concert hall floor :)?
