Here's a further email to HTGAA and regarding Alex Tran and Yolanda Xie's Slides 10 & 13 ... and aging reversal and extreme longevity genetic drug therapies -
Dear David (Sun Kong), Alex (Tran, with Rohan and Jieming as mentors), Yolanda (Xie, with Kyuho and Cathy Guo as mentors), HTGAA Presenters' Kate, Peter, Ally, All,
Thanks once again for a fascinating 2025 HTGAA synthetic biology Week 9 Tu 4/1/25 online class - https://2025.htgaa.org/ - from one of the #GlobalListeners (and in MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch seeking to build a #RealisticVirtualEarth (thinking Google Street View with time slider, with TensorFlow, and at the #GCellView and #GMoleculeView levels eg in a #RealisticVirtualEarthForCells and #
Thanks for beginning 2025 HTGAA Week 9 4/1/25 with Alex Tran's and Yolanda Xie's slides especially, and re 2025 HTGAA Week 7 3/18/25 (and see - https://scott-macleod.
"Greetings, and thanks for another excellent 2025 How to Grow (Almost) Anything synthetic biology class today, Tu 3/18/25. Himalayan blue poppy: Headed back into Harbin to soak, parked in some shade. near the Meadow area re about the 2nd warm / hot day this year (~88F) * Walked in to soak in meditation in Yoga full Lotus asana again ... and as I waded toward the front bench in the warm pool to sit, there was a woman reading Yoga Sutras of Patanjali with a gray cover (possibly starting textually, or in stone carvings, or from about 2500 years ago ... possibly this one - "The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali: The Essential Yoga Texts for Spiritual Enlightenment" by Swami Vivekananda") ... interestingly ... (a text I riff with here - http://www.scottmacleod.com/yoganotations.html) and which. 8 limbs focused my soaking meditation in a new way * * * What are the 8 limbs of yoga as Sanskrit words? The eight limbs of yoga, as outlined in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, are: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi * Where might Patanjali have lived in India? Haridwar, Uttarakhand in the north? * What's the evidence for Yogi Patanjali possibly living about 2500 or 2200 years ago?

Boggs Mountain is a mountain the Mayacamas Mountains in Lake County, California. Part of the mountain holds the Boggs Mountain Demonstration State Forest. About 80% of the trees were burned in the September 2015 Valley Fire.
Name
[edit]In the early days of settlement of Lake County, the mountain was called Harbin Mountain after a settler named James M. Harbin who around 1856 took control of the land occupied by the Harbin Hot Springs, and gave his name to the springs and the mountain.[1] An 1890 description by the State Mineralogist used this name to refer to the mountain.[2] Later the mountain took the name Boggs Mountain.[3] This name honors Henry C. Boggs (1820–1898), an early settler and entrepreneur in Lake County.[4] The name Harbin Mountain survives, referring to a high point above Harbin Hot Springs on a ridge that comes down to the south from Boggs Mountain.[5][a]

Vegetation
[edit]Lower down, most of the vegetation is chaparral, and manzanita is the most common species. Higher up there is (or was) a mixed forest of coast range Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii), ponderosa pine (Pinus ponderosa) and sugar pine (Pinus lambertiana).[3] There are also small quantities of incense cedar (Calocedrus) and MacNab cypress (Cupressus macnabiana).[2] Deciduous trees include canyon live oak (Quercus chrysolepis), black oak (Quercus kelloggii), dogwood (Cornus), and madrone (Arbutus).[3]
