Magnolia: How much graduate student instructors earn at Harvard, Harvard College's educational ethos or pedagogical approach, Will WUaS end up being ranked according to the CC MIT OCW and CC Yale OYC we offer?

Dear Nels and Ed,

Thank you again, Nels.

Upon further consideration, When I asked Shell (who went to Harvard College) how much graduate student instructors earn at Harvard, I think she probably meant $17,000-20,000 per semester (and not per annum), so $34,000-40,000 per year (for 20 hours per week or work) for a top graduate student instructor, which figures I've heard mentioned available also in the Stanford Anthropology department to graduate students upon application for them.

It was also interesting to learn Shell's thoughts about Harvard College's educational ethos or pedagogical approach as informed by all of Harvard's schools. Harvard does get undergraduate student applicants who are all at the top of their classes in terms of school performance, in one way or another, I'd think, but Harvard doesn't engage any processes similar to the Conference Method, vis-a-vis Reed College, for example, which WUaS plans to engage and even teach.

One of the things I asked Shell was if WUaS would end up being ranked according to the CC MIT OCW and CC Yale OYC we offer?

I enjoyed meeting and hearing Sas, Gae and Sebas. Thank you for inviting them.

Best,
Scott

Dear Nels,

Thank you again very much for dinner.

Interesting to hear from Shell S at dinner that a Harvard
graduate student instructor might seek to earn $17,000-20,000 for 20
hours per week of work (per year I presume). In seeking to become
the Harvard of the internet and in all countries and their large /
main languages, WUaS will need / seek to hire Harvard graduate
students.

Thanks for these interesting TSWG talks. Your academic communities
/ networks are indeed worldwide and impressive - China, Australia
... wherever tourists travel. Hail!

Thank you, Scott
