soft copy ~ my new book "Light, Float, Sit, Watsu ~ Virtually ..."
Hi Prasanth,
Thank you for your Twitter inquiry about a soft copy. And now I see on a larger-than-my-smartphone's screen that you're asking about my new book "Light, Float, Sit, Watsu ~ Virtually ..."
-
While I need to look at the copyright information further, I'm thinking even in terms of you developing Tamil language World Univ & Sch, and the WUaS Press, and even possibly a book that could be sold in Tamil Nadu. And how could we further develop Google Translate into Tamil in the process, and then how best to set up a publishing process from digital to paper (like KDP Amazon) for WUaS itself, in Tamil Nadu and in the Tamil Language WITH TRANSLATION with machine learning using GOOGLE TRANSLATE for example.
It could be great to possibly both publish this at the WUaS Press in Tamil, as well as print and distribute this in Tamil Nadu -
http://worlduniversityandschool.org/AcademicPress.html. I'm including Larry Viehland here who is the chair of the Board at WUaS, and also the CFO for his thinking too.
If you were interested in translating this, or something like this, I'm wondering about first just sending you a single poem from this book, for translation experimentation. And then I wonder too about exploring possibly something like my 10 or 20 favorite poems from all 4 of my books for translation into a book in Tamil language for sale on paper in Tamil Nadu. Thoughts about all of this?
Would you be interested in exploring some of this further?
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Scott

Great, Prasanth, (and Larry, and All)!
Thank you, Prasanth, for your interest in translating some of my new book of poetry "Light, Float, Sit, Watsu ~ Virtually" (2021) re your "I'm interested in sir" email earlier.
Let's get the WUaS Press started in GDocs - which seems to be such a GREAT platform to develop a new press in.
Light, Float, Sit
Light
lights
Harbin
harmony
in one, waters warm,
immense, immersion, milieu d’eau.
Float
flies
in warm
watery
ease-me-in present,
a gift of flight in fluid d’eau,
where freedom finds releasing in among hug nude friends.
Sit,
roots
around,
touch all cells,
water pool food
intimate naked yes exchange,
of mind body suit seamlessly freeing we who connect under stars, skies, Harbin-wise.

Am thinking it might be good regarding my 4 poetry books as 'products' in the Tamil language potentially, to keep them 'whole' (rather than choose my favorite 10-20 poems for example, and compile these into a new volume). And we can work out the further steps to the WUaS Press in GDocs re printing to paper etc later!
I've created some beginning documents below, but won't share access with you quite yet, until we work out a translation and publishing process little further.
Regards,
Scott

Hi Prasanth, Larry, Imad, Koh, Sri Lanka WUaS,
Developments of a new WUaS Press in the Tamil language are underway, I think, and in GDocs - and thanks to Prasanth furthering this conversation.
And Prasanth, and All,
here's our conversation about starting a new online Tamil language world Univ & Sch in Tamil Nadu (in my daily blog post from today, jan 6, 2021) -
https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2021/01/karthigaipoo-gloriosa-flower.html - including regarding free speech, for ex., and with some of the important ideas at the top. (And could I ask you please not to call me sir, and perhaps whenever you're about to write sir, substitute for the 'IR' the letters "COTT" for Scott - thank you! ... As I see this, calling people Sir for you is a cultural practice, and for me I think we're equals, and people, and I'm wary of names or titles like 'Sir' - perhaps it's a Quaker or a Gandhian thing" )
Exciting to be developing both a Tamil language WUaS Press, as well as WHOLE Tamil language World University and School, and regarding planning our WUaS platforms for this - and even with Tamil speaking people that Prasanth knows of (toward bottom of blog post above).
Thank you Prasanth, and All! Shall we begin to call a Google Meet meeting of the Tamil speakers -
https://twitter.com/Prasanth0Nature/status/1346230969917870080?s=20 (what would be some good times, Prasanth?) - and even so that this could approach could become a possible model for developing World University and School in all ~200 countries' official and main languages, - and even in all 7,117 known living languages? :))
Namaste,
Scott

Excellent, Prashant!
WUaS is seeking to translate the MIT OCW courses TO THE edX platform, in part, with skill and excellence, - AND to create academic careers for faculty and staff in Tamil - and even with comparison of learning by students of MIT OCW (for STEM) BETWEEN LANGUAGES as academic studies. WUAS is also seeking to offer our WUaS undergraduates (Tamils esp) edX courses later this year.
This translation from MIT OCW into Tamil language on an open edX platform for free university degrees in Tamil is an involved process, and WUaS must raise money for this initial partnering with edX, and then later probably for an Open edX platform (
https://open.edx.org/marketplace-category/service-partners/ - which also costs money, and WUaS has tried one of these starter kits), and WUaS's focus is first partnering with edX for English courses.
So let's focus on the wiki side of WUaS first in the Tamil language, and Tamil people who are interested in free MIT OCW-centric Bachelor degrees and speak English can begin this May 1 or September 1 in the 4-year process.
Please wiki-add the Tamil resources you shared to the WUaS Tamil wiki in English for now.
Thanks and regards,
Scott

You're welcome, Prasanth! Share it with your friends too.
Eventually WUaS is seeking to explore distributing a single cryptocurrency in all 200 countries via UBI experiments for all 7.8 billion people on planet (and even to eliminate poverty).
Did you read about this in the WUaS Annual Meeting Minutes -
All the best,
Scott

Scott, please share your project details for Translation work of Courses in all Indian Languages with me.

Hi Prasanth,
With a time horizon of 2025-2035 re technologies, AI and machine learning, and machine translation of courses, as well as hiring faculty and staff in all Indian languages, here are some early attempts which inform my thinking and planning (and with which WUaS is working) -
STEM, quality and enjoyment of MIT OCW into Indian languages are key aspects of the translation process at WUaS.
On WUAS wiki side, anyone interested could begin translating a CC-4 MIT OCW course in a subject they want to learn, and in GDocs for example, and then teach it too. Google Translate is a good starting technology.
Sincerely, Scott
