Ongoing developments here in a variety of ways.

Mentoring is something that Lydia from Berlin mentioned yesterday evening as something she enjoys doing outside of her work with Wikimedia there. Men-toring can be so valuable (of men by women esp?), and different cultures do it in different ways, and have it imbued in different depths in the fabric of their societies as practice, both kind of formalized and not ...



Harbin ... (back to adding photos to my book tomorrow after a 3 day Wikimedia MediaWiki conference in SF) ... doesn't have too much mentoring in its fabric of life... but this does happen informally there too, which are important practices as well ... and then a 3rd read/edit/index ... editing isn't my thing, but it is probably one of the most enjoyable skills, akin to writing/editing, in Wikipedia, that could be cultivated by mentoring for enjoyment (beyond online studies at WUaS of "flow: the psychology of optimal experience" per Csikszentmihalyi) and in all languages, especially.

How can WUaS build mentoring into our matriculating classes and into WUaS as we grow as multiple universities and schools?

In what ways can information technologies and online schools enhance mentoring?
