Alex, Stephanie,Greetings, and thanks for your communications, Alex. Here again is the ideas' 'one-pager' I shared with you last week - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2022/01/northern- double-collared-sunbird_ 0643275698.html. I didn't add 1 of 2 WUaS financial reports to this email by accident, and so am including both of them for your consideration now.For your interest, I've added an Agenda item (#5) regarding the NSF to the CC-4 OCW.MIT.EDU -centric wiki World University and School Agenda and News for open Monthly Business Meeting on Saturday, 1/15/22 at 9am PT, here -Thank you,ScottScott GK MacLeod

Research question for WUaS at the NSF (National Science Foundation)?
Begin with building out a realistic virtual earth for genetics, and for aging reversal, and longevity machine learning developments at the cellular and molecular levels, as part of building out a single realistic virtual earth for everything, for STEM and as classroom?
In communication with NSF's Alexandra Medina-Borja, and former NSFer Stephanie August (both recent ISSIP panelists)

Research question for WUaS at the NSF?
How best to build out a realistic virtual earth for all STEM disciplines and as STEM field sites, and classrooms?
I'm particularly interested in the virtual learning environments you mention at the close of your talk, and regarding WUaS planning to facilitate a single realistic virtual earth for Classrooms, and as STEM field sites, and for genetics and everything (eg see some of these #hashtags here -

Begin in part with a realistic virtual earth for genetics and aging reversal? Code with Scratch programming language even, and study how students do this?
"Priority 3a: Enhance the use of technological innovations in both in-person and virtual learning spaces.
Priority 3b: Prepare educators to provide rich learning experiences for all students.
Challenge:
Understand how virtual distance learning environments affect cognition and learning
Actions:
Research is needed to build a deeper understanding of the possibilities of virtual and hybrid distance learning environments, from how they affect the development of skills and abilities, to the pedagogies and curriculum that work best."

Thank you for your consideration of our request. I will follow up with you in the next week to answer any questions you might have, as well as to learn whether we might answer any questions about the merits of our proposal.

National Science Foundation (NSF) Scott GK MacLeod @ World University and School’s One-page Idea for Alexandra Medina-Borja program 2022
Dear Alexandra,
My broad research question at CC-4 ocw.mit.edu -centric wiki World Univ & Sch: How best to build out a realistic virtual earth for all STEM disciplines and as STEM field sites, and classrooms?
I'm particularly interested in the virtual learning environments you mention at the close of your ISSIP talk, and regarding WUaS planning to facilitate a single realistic virtual earth for Classrooms, and as STEM field sites, and for genetics and everything (eg see some of these #hashtags here - https://twitter.com/WorldUnivAndSch/status/1478416299713699841?s=20 - and it's possible to find other related #RealisticVirtualEarth #Hashtags, e.g. here https://twitter.com/hashtag/RealisticVirtualEarthForGenetics?src=hashtag_click - on Twitter, and think Google Street View with time slider, Maps, Earth, TensorFlowAI, Translate, and at the cellular and molecular levels too, and even with 'artificial people' as avatar bot electronic medical records and their genomes for all 7.9 billion people on the planet, each a Wikidata Pin #, and in the online WUaS Medical School(s) and online Teaching Hospital (s)).
So, idea-wise, begin in part with the NSF developing a realistic virtual earth for genetics and aging reversal, and longevity (more than 122 years of age for humans, with machine learning), and drugs for this too? (Explore, too, students in courses coding this with the Scratch programming language even, and study how students do this, comparatively and across languages, and from state to state in the US?)
In response to your slide at the 23 minute mark:
"Priority 3a: Enhance the use of technological innovations in both in-person and virtual learning spaces.
Priority 3b: Prepare educators to provide rich learning experiences for all students.
Challenge:
Understand how virtual distance learning environments affect cognition and learning
Actions:
Research is needed to build a deeper understanding of the possibilities of virtual and hybrid distance learning environments, from how they affect the development of skills and abilities, to the pedagogies and curriculum that work best."
(from "ISSIP NSF Workshop Nov 10, 2021, Long Term Impact of COVID 19 on Work, Learning, and Skills" - https://youtu.be/_rK9IANvjQg - Nov 10, 2021 - Alexandra Medina-Borja at 23:00 - 24:01)
a) prioritize developing this single realistic virtual earth to be "student-centered, personalized, and equitable," b) making "when we teach," clear concerning "what is it we teach," and c) developing other coding focuses "for the worker learners."
Please consider too this one email page idea in regards to this NSF thinking too -

Thank you for your consideration of this one-page idea.

PS
And also please consider this one-page idea above regarding World University & School building out in a realistic virtual earth for STEM everything into each of these NSF research areas -
https://www.nsf.gov/about/research_areas.jsp
Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE)
Education and Human Resources (EHR)
Environmental Research and Education (ERE)
International Science and Engineering (OISE)
Mathematical and Physical Sciences (MPS)
Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences (SBE)
- and the following too, on the WUaS Corporation wing (in contrast to the World Univ & Sch wing) - https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/1997/nsf9764/topics.htm -
TOPIC #17 - NETWORKING & COMMUNICATIONS RESEARCH & INFRASTRUCTURE
TOPIC #18 - MICROELECTRONIC INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEMS (MIPS)
- so especially in these STEM disciplines, but also with a STEAM focus, that is Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics' foci.
Thank you, Alex!
Best regards, Scott
