Thanks so much for your email RSVP Robin to a "Proposed Reedie+ book group beginning in late December 2024 ..." at 670A Ridgecrest Road, PO box 442, Canyon CA 94516 on Sat December 14, 2024, beginning around 7, potluck beginning from 5pm (with at least some food on a table), and with some folks arriving at 4 pm (who might be wanting to explore beautiful Canyon 94516 up on the ridge above Indian Valley in East Bay MUD) ... Steve and Janet ... would you like to come too? (Bring your book reading families and tribes as well :).
But all of this is contingent on my being able to move into a newly safe Canyon 94516 from being in asylum in Penn's Woods, western Pennsylvania (since fleeing for my life, I think, from the SF Bay Area in August of 2022, and as a whistle-blower and having called the local police both from Canyon, and from both asylum houses in Pgh PA), so stay tuned.
What to read possibly? I actually haven't read Middlemarch, and I think my mother's suggestion from one of her 2 book groups I think, in the Pgh area, of having read a book before suggesting it for any given month's book group makes a lot of sense (eg I wasn't drawn in or inspired to read Middlemarch further after reading its first few pages; if someone might recommend Middlemarch in this proposed book group in the future because they've read it - and eg because some consider it a greatest novel - great ... please suggest it!!! ... as we figure out "Proposed Reedie+ book group beginning in late December 2024 ..." process further ... and per this email thread as well).
So what possibly to read for 12/14/24 - and as a starter "read"?
Robin, since you've so WONDERFULLY RSVP-ed and all the way from Washington DC / Alexandria Virginia ... for a "Proposed Reedie+ book group beginning in late December 2024 ..." at 670A Ridgecrest Road, Canyon 94516 ... what book, that you've read, would you suggest for a very first proposed Reedie+ book group ? Something super inspiring book-wise from the field of history (which you studied at Reed, or Law, which you studied at Willamette University in Salem Oregon ... and does it have a legal competence in {Oregon} hippy law even?:) Or a book - hippy-wise - that you would suggest or found inspiring even (since Canyon 94516 in the woods of East Bay MUD, about 8 miles southeast of Berzerkeley, has some hippy roots as well) ..
