Dear Rob (Califf MD), FDA veterinary medicine #OneHealth #VirtualSymposium today, (Ann Brown DVM in northeast Oregon at Wisdom Creek Ranch, whom I invited to today's Symposium but who didn't register for it), All,
Nice to meet you some years ago at an University of California, San Francisco, talk you gave. And thanks for the information about this FDA veterinary medicine #OneHealth #VirtualSymposium today, having Tweeted twice about it with your
https://x.com/DrCaliff_FDA/status/1853879203768455543 (which gave me a helpful overview into how the US federal government works too) - and having blogged about it as well. Greetings from MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch with its beginning Veterinary_Medicine wiki school -
https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Veterinary_Medicine - in English but planned in all ~200 countries and in their main languages. I'll add the FDA Youtube video recording of this when it becomes available in about a week, I learned.
These are some of the questions I asked during the FDA veterinary symposium in the Q&A, and regarding the following presenters -
David Edwards PhD
Brainstorming, and regarding innovations, and re especially ocean species (and all ‘minor species’), how would aging reversal and extreme longevity genetic drug therapies work for these - AND be regulated by the FDA even? How could a #RealsiticVirtualEarthForOceans (Twitter too) #RealsiticVirtualEarth #ForOceans help? Thanks!
Dorothy Bailey -
Dr. Dorothy Bailey, thanks! In what ways might you at the FDA be examining de-extinction studies (such as heralded by Harvard and MIT professor of Genetics’ George Church, and regarding the de-extinction of the wooly mammoth project) and so such as regarding the Bison in the picture just now … but especially regarding all ‘minor use’ and related language … and even de-extinction of individual humans possibly? Thanks!
Slide 181
How to report adverse drug events ? - and regarding even questions of 'minor use' and this language, and related law too ? ... and see below
I also wanted to email Tracey Forfa (appreciating her Massachusetts' culture and/or thinking) too in some of these regards, but couldn't find her email online (when I looked today, and I think it disappeared from having found it about a week ago, in this Google email
worlduniversityandschool.org address draft).
I was particularly fascinated by the heritable genetic therapies you at the FDA are beginning to think through and regulate ... and regarding ... also MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch's focus on creating a Realistic Virtual Earth For Extreme Longevity with a Realistic Virtual Earth for Genetics, and an #AgingReversalMachine even, in a #WUaSHospitalRoom in a #WUaSMultimediaBarn (think Google Street View with time slider at the cell, molecule and atom levels, TensorFlowAI) potentially even in the shop at 670 Ridgecrest Rd Canyon CA 94516 (near Berkeley and UCSF) and for about 10 Virtual-Physical species, including bees, and fish, as well as humans, dogs, mice, and chickens, honey bees (again), & drosophila flies (re wings and flight too), and potentially all the FDA major and minor species mentioned today.
Looking forward to staying in touch on Twitter further as well!
Thanks, Friendly regards, abolition-ally, all the best,
Scott

Here too is where I brainstorming-wise explore further in WUaS News and Q&A and in WUaS Monthly Business Meeting de-extincting the wooly mammoth in Alaska ... AND regarding heritability, and especially regarding questions of how consciousness (subjective experience) and memory would work then, and even regarding de-extincting individuals from the cells of their relatives (in decades or centuries if at all) -
PS
FYI, and as further feedback about today's event, I shared these with my mother, Jane MacLeod, Sid/Pin Mazumdar in HHS, and with my friend in Berkeley, Ed Smyth MD during the course of today's FDA Veterinary medicine #OneHealth symposium -

"Hi Ma, Pin, Ed, ... interesting FDA #OneHealth veterinary focused #VirtualSymposium ... just asked with some HHS email addresses being shared, Pin, for example "Brainstorming, and regarding innovations, and re especially ocean species (and all ‘minor species’), how would aging reversal and extreme longevity genetic drug therapies work for these - AND be regulated by the FDA even? How could a #RealsiticVirtualEarthForOceans (Twitter too) #RealsiticVirtualEarth #ForOceans help? Thanks!

It seems like it's this FDA veterinary agency that might be doing clinical trials on even HERITABLE aging reversal and extreme longevity genetic drug therapies and with animals, and fish + ... interestingly ... How to help some non-human animals and which ones live very long lives are interesting questions. Thoughts, questions? Fond regards, Scott (

Pin, Ed, Ma ... this FDA veterinary medicine drug approval conference is interesting and regarding MIT OCW-centric wiki WUaS ... but have been a bit concerned about some of the things both David Edwards and Dorothy Bailey, 2 recent presenters ... and regarding WUaS seeking to develop a worldwide abolition movement to protect people ... How best to change US federal laws in the FDA even for example that aren't protecting people I wonder? Abolitionally, staying alive, best wishes, Scott (

How could WUaS Law Schools even help change US FDA laws even in the future possibly ...eg re possibly too our graduates eventually ?... "but have been a bit concerned about some of the things both David Edwards and Dorothy Bailey, 2 recent presenters have said re the materials they presented ...?" Thoughts, Scott (

And in a related vein from a set of Tweets from this morning too before the FDA symposium -
Ma, Ed, Pin - #EcotopiaLands ... this is an extraordinary Tweet from Stanford Law & Biomedical Ethics' Prof Hank Greely, who retweets an incredible map too ... re inland from the west coast of far N' Calif and S. Oregon through Nevada, Idaho and Utah ... and with much wilderness ... Develop this WUaS Tweet idea out of Harbin Hot Springs which shares some cultural understandings with the far north of CA and far south of Oregon ... lands of the children of hippies even ... Fun to travel to these parts with Donna Leet MD (could she even get perhaps brand new experience making MD 'house calls' and legally, - possibly an old medical doctor vision of great medicine (with time) ... potentially even with some aspects of a #Toyota Ambulance Van for surgery with tele-robotic MD surgery professors as humanoid robots ... built into a Toyota Sienna minivan? ) even in a Toyota Sienna Woodland Edition XLE AWD minivan with an 8 gallon shower (what one person may use rather than a 2 gallon shower even:) ... How best to dev @WorldUnivAndSch re "#RevolutionizingEducation w #MachineLearningAndAI": #WorldUnivINSch -
https://www.toolify.ai/ai-news/revolutionizing-education-with-machine-learning-and-ai-2574306 w #GrowWithGoogle & #MITOCW-centric #FreeWUaSDegrees & #ExtremeLongevity re #RuralWUaS "S Oregon & N'most Cal east for 400 mi."? & re #EcotopiaLands?
Retweeting -
Good map. & if you looked at the same map for other factors-education, poverty, infant mortality, divorce rates, smoking - it would look largely the same.
(BTW, interesting W Coast exceptional band of mediocre results from S Oregon & N'most Cal east for 400 mi. Bec/very rural?
Retweets
Timothy Caulfield (a law prof in western Canada, I think and whom Hank Greely retweets a lot)
@CaulfieldTim
Life expectancy in U.S.
Complex. But how important are socioeconomics, education, access to health, equity, etc, (read: NOT seed oil-ish) issues? Deeply.
The metrics here in map, and regarding school districts in these areas, and even electronic health records for infant mortality ... and with WUaS UBI experiments ... in these somewhat rich 5 or so states could be a great data-generation-place too from which to grow World Univ & Sch 'locally' ... (& as I seek to move forward into a newly Safe Canyon 94516 in NorCal ... and begin to develop further my 2nd Physical-Digital Harbin Ethnographic book project) - & re #Think Global Act Local
