How best to build at World Univ & Sch a Realistic Virtual Earth For Mutations & Realistic Virtual Earth For Genetics in G Street View with Time slider at the molecule view level?
Building a simulation of a realistic virtual Earth for genetics and mutations at the molecule level within a Google Street View interface, complete with a time slider, is a highly complex and currently unfeasible project with existing technology and public APIs. It combines the cutting-edge fields of large-scale environmental modeling, molecular dynamics, genetics simulation, and advanced data visualization, each representing a significant challenge.
The current Google Maps and Street View APIs are designed for visualizing existing geographic and photorealistic 3D data, not for dynamically simulating complex scientific processes or rendering molecular structures within that environment.
For World Univ & Sch to pursue such a visionary project, a multi-disciplinary approach using specialized tools and platforms would be required, as outlined below:
I. Core Challenges
Data Granularity & Scale: Google's "virtual satellite" AlphaEarth provides data at a 10x10 meter pixel resolution for the planet's surface. This is vastly different from the nanometer scale required for molecular visualization. Bridging this gap is a grand challenge.
Simulation Complexity: Accurately simulating the dynamics of genetics and mutations at a molecular level across a global, multi-scale environment involves immense computational power and is an active area of research, with "virtual cell" projects still in early development.
Visualization Tools: Standard web mapping APIs cannot render molecular structures. Specialized scientific visualization libraries would be needed, and integrating them into a unified, user-friendly interface with a time slider for tracking changes across different scales presents major technical hurdles.
II. Recommended Approach and Technology Stack
Instead of attempting to force this into Google Street View, which lacks the necessary functionality, a custom solution can be built using specialized libraries.
1. Data and Simulation Layer
Molecular Dynamics Software: Use software like Gromacs or NAMD to perform the actual simulations of molecular interactions and mutations. These would generate the raw data for visualization.
Genetics Simulation Libraries: Employ libraries focused on population genetics and evolutionary modeling to simulate the effects of mutations at a larger scale, using the molecular data as underlying parameters.
High-Performance Computing (HPC): The scale and complexity of these simulations will likely require significant computational resources, such as supercomputers or cloud-based HPC services.
2. Data Integration and Storage
Knowledge Graphs: Utilize dynamic knowledge graphs to connect biological concepts and data across different spatial and temporal scales, from molecular to ecosystem levels.
Geospatial Databases: Store large-scale environmental data and link it to the simulation outputs using a robust geospatial database system.
3. Visualization and User Interface Layer
Custom 3D Rendering Engine: Instead of the Google Maps API, a custom 3D rendering engine built with libraries like CesiumJS (which supports OGC's 3D Tiles standard used by Google for photorealistic maps) or Unity/Unreal Engine would offer greater control for integrating disparate data types and molecular visualizations.
Molecular Visualization Libraries: Integrate specific libraries such as 3Dmol.js or PV to render and interact with molecules within the custom 3D environment.
Time Slider Implementation: The time slider functionality would need to be custom-developed to manage and display the time-series data generated by the simulations, potentially by leveraging Google Earth Engine's principles for handling time-based geospatial data.
Summary
The project is highly ambitious and would essentially require building a novel platform for multi-scale biological and environmental simulation. World Univ & Sch would need a dedicated team of computational biologists, software engineers, geospatial experts, and 3D visualization specialists to achieve this vision.
Bonjour Marc in Vevey or Blonay & Lausanne, Vaud, French-speaking Switzerland, or ...?, thank you, and Happy New Year further, & likewise too,

A new study led by #NASmember Feng Zhang suggests a way to rejuvenate the immune system. By temporarily programming cells in the liver, researchers @MIT & @broadinstitute were able to improve T-cell function and enhance vaccine response. Read more: https://t.co/soxbb12r0r
Our immune system declines with age. Now the lab of @zhangf has found a way to overcome this decline by temporarily programming liver cells to improve T cells’ ability to fight infection. https://t.co/0t5aVuguM4pic.twitter.com/ivBe9pW6Pn
And what might you be seeing in Switzerland and Swiss immunology even about extreme longevity and aging reversal genetic drug therapies emerging, FDA approved too, and re for example Harvard Wyss Institute networks, and re the PS too.
Am potentially interested in connecting with D.... L... MD, a gastroenterology fellow at UCSF, and even to explore beginning a family. With whom might you still be in communication with at UCSF?
(Seeking to move forward with the physical-digital WUaS Academic Medical Center into a newly safe, vacant, with deed 670 Ridgecrest Rd Canyon 94526 - where we last met face-to-face :)
Aging reversal research, heavily involving Harvard's Wyss Institute, focuses on epigenetic reprogramming using factors like Yamanaka factors, identifying gene networks (e.g., Ichor Project) to reset cellular age, and discovering proteins (like GDF-11) that rejuvenate tissues, aiming for therapies to treat age-related diseases and extend healthspan, with concepts extending to network biology to understand aging's complexity, though direct Switzerland connections aren't prominent in these snippets, the international nature of science connects them.
Key Concepts & Players:
Epigenetic Reprogramming: Aging involves losing epigenetic information (DNA's "instructions"), like scratches on a CD; research aims to "polish" it back to a youthful state.
David Sinclair (Harvard Medical School): A leading figure, his lab identifies reprogramming factors and chemicals (cocktails) that can reverse cellular age and disease symptoms, viewing aging as a reversible information loss.
Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering: Develops technologies like mRNA therapies (GeneSkin) and screens gene networks (Ichor Project) for aging reversal, targeting skin rejuvenation and broader health.
Harvard Stem Cell Institute (HSCI): Studies aging in tissues (heart, blood) and identifies rejuvenating proteins, exploring how blood factors influence old cells, with collaborations moving research toward clinical trials.
Genetic Networks & Systems Biology: The Wyss Institute and NECSI (New England Complex Systems Institute) use network science to understand how complex systems and gene interactions drive aging and disease.
Research Directions:
Yamanaka Factors: Brief, controlled application (partial reprogramming) reverses cell age without erasing identity, showing potential for treating skin aging, arthritis, and neurodegeneration.
Chemical Approaches: Discovery of small molecules and cocktails that can reset cells, potentially leading to single-pill treatments for age-related issues.
Gene & Protein Therapies: Using viral vectors (for gene delivery) or identifying proteins (like GDF-11) that decline with age to restore youthful function.
Role of Networks:
Scientists study how gene networks change with age, identifying key genes and pathways (like HIF-1) involved in both aging and cancer, suggesting common mechanisms.
Switzerland Connection:
While these results focus heavily on Harvard, the concept of networks, complex systems, and genetics is global, with Swiss researchers often involved in related fields like systems biology or longevity, forming broader scientific connections.

Hi Scott,
Of interest For longevity you might think of turning to Harbin Cold springs ;)
Bonjour friend Marc in French speaking Switzerland and formerly at UCSF and immunologist scientist (and who knows Big Pharma thinking too),
Thanks again for your emails and the 2 Nature articles ... Nature is so interesting ... Nature writer & Cal PhD Heidi Ledford is attractive ... But probably won't invite her to Harbin Hot Springs (re 7th book project too & a #RealisticVirtualHarbin) ... Are she and D.... as biological scientists both not good ideas as a life partner and to begin a family ? ... For 3 kids even? Brainstorming ... thanks for opening the way to thinking if other pot. life partners besides D.... ... Thanks too for privacy notice on Bowhead mutation snippet article re mutation and For longevity ...
There are so many possibilities for longevity proteins / genes ... Not a geneticist, WUaS seeks to develop new AI RVE #RealisticVirtualEarth research tools ...
Am enough of a biology-thinking Yogi & NtF Nontheist Friendly Quaker to continue to envision & 'see', & to wait and seek to discern, a great potential life partner biologically, ... Re 'pairbondage' too http://scottmacleod.com/JohnMoneyConceptsOfDeterminism.html
... and inviting such a person to Harbin could have merit ... 670 Ridgecrest Rd Canyon 94516 could be attractive to a possible mother too ... D.... is still on my radar in these regards ... But am wary abolitionally of the wrongful buying and selling of people in the illegal sex drugs violence car theft industries internationally re international organized crime and modern slavery even in some senses (maybe Stanford Mine Pi cryptocurrency can help here in the future - minepi.com/sgkmac depending on a country's laws & cultural thinking too, OR NOT) ... In big science too ... A pretty 20-something yo (eg with parallels to Susan & Anke who are past mutual loves of mine, both in their early 20s at the time),
MD (PhD too?) from the university of Washington or Oregon Health Sciences or Kaiser Permanente health care (in 8 US states) somehow too could be great ...
Am interested in exploring making the #WUaSMultimediaHospitalRoom # and possibly as #RealisticVirtualHarbin for soaking from one's home bath tub ... Line a whole rooms' walls with these iterating smart screens for larger and larger datasets and engineered for moisture too in bath rooms, and in teaching hospitals in universities across the US and in most other countries ... even as an aging reversal machine ?

There are merits to being demoted if that's what you might be referring to by "knocked back" - in the Swiss uniformed armed services for example - rather than promoted e.g. to a Swiss general or similar I'd think, Marc, n'est-ce pas? ... and somehow Yogic ally ... and it could allow for much time to focus on science from Switzerland further n'est-ce pas aussi? (Received in spam yesterday something about a lieutenant colonel and it made me wonder whether Google employees in Switzerland could have been following the possibly Swiss international organized crime incident in cahoots with the swiss uniformed armed services of craven psychopath cmu undergrad at the time, murderer? swiss or lebanese soldier frederic khayat and his murderous run through attempt of me sadlt in pittsburgh in April 2023 ... and as I and World Univ & Sch seek to grow further a worldwide abolition movement to knock back international organized crime further).

Recalling too that you Marc have something of a hippy Swiss father ... head of a language school ... in some of these regards, too.
