670 Ridgecrest Road Canyon CA 94516 in Google Maps satellite view Th Aug 24 2023 Jim Spohrer

Wow, Jim ... great 2nd photo in Google Maps which perspective is a first for me. Thanks so so much for this stellar tech scouting, and regarding MIT OCW-centric World Univ & Sch at 670 Ridgecrest Road, Canyon 94516 beginning F 9/1/23. (I had been seeing World Univ & Sch for years in Google Street View at that very location your second photo shows, thanks I think to Peter Norvig, while living there especially, - and re an emergent WUaS Academic Medical Center). Writing the following in thinking through next steps and gamble, or possibly risk taking (and in communication with a MIT network of alumni such as yourself) -

Thanks so so much for your previous email too. Reached out to a MIT alumnus friend on Cuttyhunk where I am presently, Brent Hall (who took my "Society and Information Technology" course when I was teaching it on Harvard's Berkman Island in Second Life, pre-voice, I think, so probably around 2006 - and re my upcoming 6th book "Society, Information Technology and the Global University") regarding his thinking about the GAMBLE of scheduling a mover to move my things to 670 Ridgecrest Road, Canyon 94516 arriving on F 9/1/23. I had sent him this email this morning -

"Brent,

Thanks for your email.

When Ed Smyth MD began in March 2022, in 2 long phone calls, the precipitation process of me moving back into a newly safe house at 670A Ridgecrest Rd Canyon 94516 on F 4/15/22 but suggested over tea and smoothies when he came over to the 'safe house' I was living in

... (after I called the local Moraga police about illegal break-ins and thefts where I was living I was living by landlord t wylie presumably in August 2020 and moved out on 10/1/2020 thanks to the suggestion of friends of nearby Reed College Byron and Cindy Hann MDs ) ...

north of Berkeley on W 4/13/22 that Canyon 94516 was not yet safe, - and that I could have this house for free (potentially due to the heinous criminality of tom wylie to whom I had paid rent for 13 years, also construable as making down payments on this house for that time period), the 'space engineering' question of how to get my things out west from Pgh into an open 670A Ridgecrest Rd Canyon 94516 house-let by moving wylie out into a secure retirement facility legally presents itself. Then per your email, Brent, there's also the question of how to sign legal ownership papers for this house soon after I arrive, and potentially in the district 7 California state senate office in Orinda 8 miles away (Sen Steve Glazer's office, where MIT alumnus with 3 degrees' Don Tatzin is a California state senate volunteer, and was also mayor of nearby Lafayette for 33 years)  - all per Ed Smyth MD's precipitation of my moving into this house for free

Thanks,
Scott"

... and when I went over to Brent and Serena Davis Hall's place this morning to talk briefly, Brent didn't have anything to add. I have no idea if Brent Hall '72 knows MIT alumnus Don Tatzin and California state senate volunteer from around the same time at MIT or not.

So thanks so much for your 2nd Google Maps photo and language above, Jim.

Per mover Shamuan Powell (Pal for Moving of Richmond VA), I may call him around noon ET in an hour, and seek to schedule moving my things from Pgh PA to Canyon 94516 on M 8/28/23 to arrive on F 9/1/23.

Appreciating much your emails per the ongoing lack of hearing back from anyone that  670 Ridgecrest Road, Canyon 94516 will be open and available and newly safe to move into on 9/1/23.

Thanks, Scott

Scott,
I did some "tech scouting" this morning, and using Google Maps, zoomed in on the location (which is quite a distance - 2 hours drive from where I am on vacation with my family).

Screenshot 2023-08-24 at 4.31.36 AM.png
Screenshot 2023-08-24 at 4.33.10 AM.png

The buildings appear very well maintained, and there are cars parked on nearby properties.

Hope this is of some help.

Scott,
Have not had a chance to check your place here - my scouting is online tech - though I wish I could help, I am not there in the physical space you want me to check for you. I do not know the people you refer to. Or any of the legal status of things. I know to dial 911 in an emergency.

I hope you understand I am on vacation with family and several hours drive away from your move target location. I do not know if it is safe for you to return.

If you do come to California I would be happy to meet up and buy you lunch to celebrate your return. I hope we can enjoy a nice hike and talk together as well. That is the best I can do at this time. Sorry I cannot help more.

I hope to keep tech scouting for WUaS, but now that I am retired- my focus is on my family with the years (I hope) that I have left here.   Your WUaS vision is inspiring to me.

I realize at 67.5 years old that everything in life is a gamble. Even driving to the grocery store. We all just try to do the best we can, while being kind to others, who need our help.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for your email. The mover Shamuan Powell from Richmond VA via Pittsburgh PA to Canyon CA 94516 - who is game to depart with my things on Monday (which is great in many ways) - just emailed again asking for a kind of commitment either to bring my things from Pittsburgh PA storage to 670 Ridgecrest Road 94516 ... OR to storage in the SF Bay Area. If the SF Bay Area isn't yet safe (because former landlord tom wylie isn't yet in a secure retirement center or similar for example), which is one reason I've been in asylum on the eastern seaboard, and also not safe for Ed Smyth MD and his family in Berzerkley ... and Pittsburgh isn't safe after the construable as murderous run through of me by craven psychopath? Swiss or Lebanese soldier? murderer?, former co-denizen frederic khayat in cahoots with the corrupt? univ pitt med ctr's "resolve fk's irresolvable crises" group, with armed city of Pittsburgh police not using a warrant to enter house twice - as lawless armed gangs even - I would rather head to the SF Bay Area to the open newly safe house at 670 Ridgecrest Rd Canyon 94516 thanks to Ed Smyth MD's precipitation this week

My mother thinks, she said just now, I might hear back from you in some of these regards. And since not scouting, am wondering how I can find out from Massachusetts, where I am, if 670 Ridgecrest Road Canyon 94516 house has even been seized or will be soon, by the US federal government with the state of California, for example, and with you on vacation and in not seeking to interrupt that. CA or US databases? Communicate with US federal law or law enforcement directly?

Thanks so much for your email this morning ... and am seeking to let mover Shamuan Powell know soon, - and re what for me is an amazing opportunity to return to California for a free house precipitated by Ed Smyth MD - and this next week ... to develop further MIT OCW- centric wiki World Univ & Sch.

Thanks so much,
Scott

Hi Jim,

Greetings! How are you? I'm about to schedule a mover from Pgh PA 15208 on Monday 8/28/23 to bring my things from storage to 670A Ridgecrest Rd Canyon CA 94516 arriving on Friday 9/1/23, and in talking with my mother, who mentioned the 'scout' word, which you are very skilled in, I'm writing to ask if you could
possibly please scout out if 670 Ridgecrest Rd Canyon 94516 is open or will be open for me to move my things into on F 9/1/23? Friend Ed Smyth MD sought to precipitate my moving in to this address again, over the phone in two long calls, in March 2022, on F April 15 2022, but when he came over for tea and smoothies to the 'safe house' I was living in in El Cerrito, on W April 13 2022, he suggested Canyon 94516 wasn't yet safe. Might this 670 Ridgecrest Rd Canyon 94516 house have been seized even by the state of California or the US federal government legally? Would former IBMer too Ellin Barret in Canyon know or be able to tell you in email or on the phone?

Based on Ed's precipitation, I'm planning to schedule a mover tomorrow to go to this 670A address, and after numerous emails to Ed, but not having heard anything back, I would be very grateful if you Jim could possibly please be able to scout this information out. Might this be possible please? If I schedule a mover to arrive on  F 9/1/23 at this 670A Ridgecrest Rd Canyon 94516 address and it's open and unoccupied, great, that would be great.  Some questions: are all 3 dwellings open or only some of them? Which ones might be open? But if it's fully occupied or will be on 9/1/23 then, I would then seek to put things in storage on F 9/1/23 in the SF Bay Area and couch surf until I find a place.

Remarkably Ed Smyth MD suggested I could have this place for a song, for free. Here's my text to my mother in these regards-

"Good suggestion mentioning the word 'scout' bringing Jim Spohrer to mind, Ma (and re a MIT network of Don Tatzin and Larry Viehland too, since Jim went to MIT) ... Will seek to email Jim in the morning or even now. Thank you, love, Scott (http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/Canyon?m=0❤️"

Thank you, Jim, so much if you could possibly please do this scouting !

Best regards, and thank you, Scott

Thanks for your email as well. Glad you're well in your retirement. I'll also request from the ISSIP editor email that she remove sgkmacleod@ worlduniversityandschool.org - for safety purposes, and since there curiously is no unsubscribe option that I found on this ISSIP email.

Glad you're spending much time outside in the natural realm - since a realistic virtual earth at the Google Street View with time slider, GMaps, GEarth, TensorFlowAI with a #RealisticVirtualEarth isn't yet really an option in which to spend much time 'in' this digital world - and thus opening access to the digital natural world anywhere, and from home.

Thanks again from the unsubscribing from all ISSIP communications, abolitionally, in asylum on the eastern seaboard from the SF Bay Area and seeking to move back into a newly safe new house in Canyon 94516 on 9/1/23, Scott

Glad to hear that WUaS continues to meet regularly, and thanks for your other updates as well.

My update is that I am enjoying the outdoors and hiking very much in the natural realm, and spending less time in the digital realm.

continued - "something positive from CA - a confirmation" - The email this morning with an aerial map and a satellite photo of Canyon CA 94516 below from Jim Spohrer in California are very positive and as a confirmation, I'd say.

Ma, Ed, All,

Thanks Ma for your email just now to sgkmacleod@gmail.com -

"Hi Scott,

I‘d love to hear something positive from CA - a confirmation - before you head out with your belongings involving all that cost and uncertainty.  You could buy yourself some time. You are welcome to use my place while I’m away (you’d have a week) to look for a short term, furnished place in Pgh. which would enable you to stay put while waiting to learn something specific from CA. - And, if you wanted to, flying or driving out there on an exploratory expedition this fall to learn more before deciding what’s next.

Look forward to seeing you tomorrow."

The email this morning with an aerial map and a satellite photo below from Jim Spohrer in California are very positive and as a confirmation, I'd say.

Thanks Ma so much for offering me your place to stay in Pittsburgh, while you're on Cuttyhunk this week too. I may take you up on it on Sunday 8/27/23 - Monday 8/28/23 and then head west on Monday after loading, with Shamaun Powell of Pal for Moving my things in ExtraSpace Storage Pgh, into his truck on Monday, and we taking separate routes west to the SF Bay Area (him on Interstate 40, and my driving west on or near Interstate 80).

Thanks so much for the back up possibility and alternative of staying in Pittsburgh ... but I think also having engaged this network of MIT alumni - Jim Spohrer, Brent Hall, Larry Viehland, and Don Tatzin -  that, with Jim Spohrer's tech scouting and these 2 amazing 670 Ridgecrest Road Canyon 94516 aerial images, that the gamble of heading west to a new free house leaving Monday 8/28/23 for MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch is worth taking, and to arrive Friday 9/1/23.

Further thoughts, ideas, questions, suggestions?

Scott
May add the photos to the Canyon blog label in daily blog today -

Brent, Serena,

Nice to see you this evening on the road on Cuttyhunk.

You'll find here the 2 pictures Of Canyon 94516 that Jim Spohrer (MIT, Yale, Apple and IBM alumnus) emailed me this morning, and especially the aerial or satellite view of part of the 670 Ridgecrest Road Canyon 94516 property with its house with 3 dwellings which looks a little like a bird from above (I lived in the wing with the 4 passive solar panels for the water heater's pre-tank, for about 13 years), and a large shop -

The property's boundary is defined by the U in the road and extends somewhat substantially more past the left and down, and a bit past the top, edges of the photo, possibly being 1.2 to 1.5 acres in total - and could even be zoned agriculturally I think (re the 6-10 species WUaS is seeking to extend the lives if significantly and experimentally).

Hoping to start a physical-digital WUaS Academic Medical Center with virtual Harbin Hot Springs' warm water cure with a WUaS Longevity Genetics' Institute initially out of an innovative iterating N-Dimensional  multimedia space in the shop brainstorming-wise. May seek to marry a MD physician to head it ...

Thanks Serena for the heads' up that M September 4 is Labor Day so that potentially signing ownership papers in the district 7 CA state senate office in Orinda - thanks to Don Tatzin MIT alumnus too, and Ed Smyth MD's precipitation - could best happen on Tue September 5, about 8 miles away from Canyon 94516.

Hoping you have a great autumn - and happy Cuttyhunk.

Cheers, Scott
