Dear Lyn, Pat, Paul, and Ken,

Great to see you and talk at the SASP Board meeting. And really great to see you Paul and Sarah Jean - since the 1970s and SCD.

Appreciating some staid aspects of Pgh compared with the SF Bay Area, and of the SASP too, but may head west again there September 1, 2023. Lyn mentioned last night that the SASP Board meeting is not a wild party, and I replied with some thoughts about the 'dinner party,' eating beforehand, and the Scots' Gaelic word Ceilidh in Tweets too ... and regarding further envisioning of Work CC4 OCW.MIT.EDU -centric wiki World Univ & Sch -

Regarding the Oxford English Dictionary and World Univ & Sch growth -

Hi Mark, (Ma, Alden),

this just popped in from WikiTree genealogy ... and could be an answer to how my possible ancestor Edward I might relate through the Chadbourne line, including possibly a Humphrey and William, and a Sarah Bolles, I think through to my grandfather, Sandy Brown (Alexander Chadbourne Brown - ACB - https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Brown-92991) to my mother, Janet Kirkbride Brown MacLeod ... but I'm not so into this presently ... more focused on aging reversal and longevity > 122 years of age genetic drug therapies,

How are you doing? Hoping you and your family are doing well. CC-4 licensed MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch is still moving forward, little by little.

Friendly greetings, abolitionally (from an asylum place in PA from CA), best wishes,

Hi Scott,

We're doing well here in Portland. We are just back from a week-long 'Thanksgiving' family gathering in Oxford, UK where our daughter Claire and son Kenneth live. Our other son Kyle flew over from Newfoundland.

And next week we head to Newfoundland for meetings and Christmas. Claire will join us later.

Tomorrow we go to Gerry and Mary Lou's for Gerry's birthday. Your brother may be there as well.

I still spend a fair bit of time working on MacLeod 'genetic' genealogy - all fun stuff. I presume I mentioned that I went to Raasay back in September and even gave a talk!

All the best,

Mark

Hi Mark, (Ma, Alden),

Have a good time at Gerry's and Mary Lou's - and please wish him a happy birthday from us! Was a little concerned about your last email outburst (as I continue to seek a life partner with whom to begin a family)  ... and am also very concerned about my brother Sandy's mental health and possible psychopathology and possible patricide and other related mental illness (in a curiously Maine cultural way ... echoes of our grandfather Gordon K MacLeod's personality speculatively, since I never met the man) ...

Will probably only be doing a Zoom Xmas with my mother at Longwood Community (my mother's new home of 2.75 years), and then at her friend Chris Michaels' place, at 5th Avenue and Neville Street, caddy corner across from the room where my father died from his 2 subdural hematomas (and I was in his room) ... in the interest of my and all of our safety, - and in this asylum place in calling for abolishing the wrongful buying and selling of people in the illegal sex and drug industries and their latent networks of violence, and related whistleblowing and calling of the police. And see below ...

Your family is lucky, Mark! (Am still fairly impoverished, and in seeking to get MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch off the ground over the last 15 years).

Happy genealogy (with Ancestry .com +), Mark!

Regards, abolitionally, Friendly and family greetings (and in thinking of your dad, Bruce, and mine ... who both won't be able to benefit from possible aging reversal and longevity genetic drug therapies that may be coming along),
Scott

Dear Ma, Sandy, David Byrne, friend from SSA high school (and I'd like to introduce you my brother Sandy and David to one another here), Chris(tine) Michaels, All,

Looking forward to possibly joining you in Zoom 1) for Xmas possibly at Longwood, and 2) at your place Chris (with your son Fracka). I've invited my friend David Thurston from Cuttyhunk who came to an Xmas meal at Chris's a few years ago, and to our 319 Juniata Ct 15208 house for Xmas before this too, to Zoom Xmas as well.

There may have been a murder here at the new place I'm living in in Pittsburgh (a tragic unjust  possible "move him out and kill him" kind of thing ... regarding criminal house owner possibly and the illegal sex industry internationally and their latent networks of violence???, - breaking both federal and state of PA law??? ), and having fled for my life from California in August, and in whistle-blowing in CA about the SF Quaker Meeting & Pacific Yearly Meeting, Stanford, UC Berkeley and Law, Canyon 94516, Harbin Hot Springs, Reed College in Oregon, and in calling the police twice from Canyon in September 2020, before moving into a 'safe house' north of Berkeley from 10/1/20-7/31/22 - and in calling for the abolition of the illegal sex and drug industries' internationally, and their latent networks of violence (and see below).

I'd hate to be some kind of unknowing accomplice to an illegal drug run this Xmas too re a conflicted unwell Sandy MacLeod, thinking-wise.

Am interested in developing MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch in the new year in a variety of ways ...

Sandy, are you seeing a MD psychiatrist in Maine, and who knows, also, Maine, Massachusetts and US federal law ... and is experienced in treating psychopathology (patricidal experiences, possibly)? (And see David Stewart Byrne's email reply and the other communications here in these regards - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2022/12/sarus-crane.html).

Seeking to bring some of these questions to language, and regarding making Cuttyhunk a safe and good place again to be too.

Abolitionally (from an asylum place in PA from CA), Merry Xmas,
Scott

PS

Janie -

Hi Scott, so nice to read your description above.  On another subject, I know it's been difficult with Sandy for a while. In any case, you're very welcome to come here to visit while they are in town, but I also understand if you can't.  And, I'm so looking forward to having our Christmas dinner with Chris and Fracka at 5:00 at Chris's place.  If you'd like to bring a green salad , that would be very nice; if you decide to do that, please let me know and I'll let Chris know. Love, Ma

Scott -

"Hi Ma, I'm concerned in an ongoing way about how Dad GKM MD got his subdural hematomas and then died, first one in Belize - and about Sandy's possible law breaking, mental health after seeing him this past summer or in 2021 briefly on Cuttyhunk, about that possible prostitute at Woodland's building at Longwood in Oakmont PA, your new Pgh home, last year, and my chaotic departure with the broken Spirit airlines,  and that I am here in Pgh in a kind of asylum, and in calling for the abolition of the illegal sex and drug industries internationally and their latent networks of violence ... Was Dad sadly a victim of this?   ... So I probably won't be around in Pittsburgh this Xmas, safety wise too (and what role might Sandy have played in Dad's brain injuries through his possible sick networks I wonder?)  ... and will let you 3 enjoy Xmas by yourselves in person at Longwood ... Love, abolition-ally, 💕, Scott (and there may have been a murder here at 210 East End Ave Pgh 15222 of Jackson Shannon in some of these illegal profit motive regards tragically too - http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2022/12/angustopila-dominikae-snail.html?m=0💕Scott

I may be doing Yoga through the New Year abolition-ally, Love, Scott (and again there may have been a murder here of Jackson Shannon after he moved out and possibly relating to the illegal sex & drug industries and their latent networks of violence). Sending love, from an asylum place (and still wondering about Dad's 2 subdural hematomas), Love, Scott

Thanks for your text message... Hoping you all have a nice Xmas together, Love, Scott (appreciating the roles of federal and state of PA and CA law in some of these regards too, Ma), 💕Scott

Hi Ma, am recalling when George stood in front of the Desiderata on his wall,
https://www.desiderata.com/desiderata.html
when we were visiting him at Kendal Crosslands possibly in some of these Xmas regards - eg "Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others ..." Do you find this helpful? Might Chris be able to have Xmas dinner a little earlier than 5 so you could drive home in the light but still get Sandy and Kate to the airport? Staying alive (re sick unregulated possible sex and drug industries and Sandy's mental illness), abolitionally, sending love, Scott

Hi Mark, (Ma, Alden, All),

Am finding this list of 190 family members interesting newly in my WikiTree family tree -

...including my mother and father ... my grandfather Alexander Brown Alexander Chadbourne "Sandy" Brown, and his sister Martha Holway Brown Briscoe, my "Aunt Marf" and Alden's mother, and his forebear James (Archibald) Brown possibly from Scotland too, and our James MacLeod from Scotland ...

but not favorite family Alden (Frank) Briscoe, here above, or my brother Sandy, or you genealogist coder Mark K MacLeod, although you're all in WikiTree I've just seen again. ...

Also Finding 2 Humphrey and William Chadbourne (s) - one sailing on the "Pied Cowe" - in Wikitree, here in list of 190 ... and am finding ancestors' Benjamin Lincoln (who accepted sword of surrender from British and Cornwallis) and Sarah Bolles Chadbourne before him here ... (and the ancestor after whom Fort Chadbourne in Texas is named - Theodore Lincoln Chadbourne, or another closely related 'warrior' ?) some of whom may be genealogically traceable back to Edward I, King of England, (Hammer of the Scots, the 'English Constantinople' who united feuding Britain, Edward Longshanks (not a very genial character I've read too - could have benefited from Omega 3 fatty acids I'd think in flax seed or fish oil :)  ... whom I couldn't find in WikiTree, then did Google Search and found 2 Edward Plantagenet s from about the same time -

Edward Plantagenet (abt. 1239 - 1307)

Edward (Plantagenet) of England (1284 - 1327)

WHAT TO DO? How to make more sophisticated this already impressive list that WikiTree's good platform and coding has produced? ...

(Generating some further genealogical data and documentation and evidence for further genealogy research too:).

Fond regards, Scott

I met Dale McLeod (children with names of Ian and Carly) last night at the St. Andrew's Society Pittsburgh, with some other 'kin folk' there too (re Scottish-Americans) - and good to connect with you. Lyn Orr, membership secretary, said a couple of times that he's my cousin. He's bright too. How I wonder could I use wikitree to identify how he might be genetically related using autosomal DNA for example?

but this WikiTree "Family List" is limited to 15 generations ... and how to go back 35 generations???, database-wsie, potentially to Edward Plantagenet (Edward I, an unsavory character I've read:) ... but also the English Justinian and a possibly originator of the Magna Carta ...  ?

(whereas Alden and John's uncle, my grandfather, ACB - Sandy Brown does appear in this list - who is also Aunt Marf's from Silent Meadow farm in NW Connecticut,  brother  )

1st cousins in Oregon -
Catherine Brown Muller

Annie Brown Brown

Alexander Hale Brown

AND your father, Mark -

Bruce Vincent MacLeod (and Quaker too!)

And you and your siblings, Mark, and my other first cousins in these GKM Sr and Margaret Driscoll MacLeod of Maine, lines'  -

And how to add another relative, Jeremy O'Brien, who was supposed to have fired the first naval shot in the American revolution (as he jumped off a ship - sounds dramatic, and I don't know the story here, and I doubt my grandmother knew it either! :) ... per my Granny Brown, wife of ACB, Sandy Brown, my mother's parents:)

I've run into this issue numerous times in Ancestry .com too ... getting lists of relatives I'm not interested in ... or which seems to be imposing identity questions I"m not interested in ...

I've added much related genealogy here - in my 1/3/23 daily blog post - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2023/01/heliotropism.html

Fond regards, Happy genealogy! As Aye, and Hold Fast :),
Scott

And here again are my Ancestry .com web pages, but no longer subscribing, am appreciating the openness and free-dom of high quality Wikitree (and its planning for a single family tree ... with the boundaries of a $38.99 /month - expensive!)

Hi Scott.
Thanks for coming to the meeting last night.
But I must ask you again, to remove my name from your emails about piping. Frankly, I am just not interested.
I would also suggest that you ask St. Andrew's members if they would like to receive these emails. A short friendly
email is probably fine but yours are long and not really understandable.
I hope you understand.
Lyn

Hi Lyn, thanks for your email. And thanks, all, for the opportunity to attend the Board Meeting for the St Andrew's Society, Pittsburgh. But the previous email, Lyn, in this thread is partly about Scottish Drumming, and regarding and to SASP's Dale McLeod, (and not gnipip, in reverse) ... and the previous one is not all that long either  ... and is understandably quite understandable. (Sorry you lost your Pittsburgh son to smoking!). And will reach out to SASP directory folks with an inquiry per your thinking, Lyn. Thank you! Seeking also to inquire with the SASP about possible interest in many of the ~ 17 people last night's SASP board meeting if they could become interested in all becoming involved and or Board members of Scotland Work World Univ & Sch - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Scotland - from treasurer (yours / OURs at SASP?) to president of the WUaS Board (Paul - might you be interested ... and regarding the WUaS Corp in Scotland and re Scottish Americans in Pgh and in the USA too?) to builders of courseware re Scottish Gaelic possibly and the Scots' language, (Liz?) ...and for free WUaS CC-4 licensed MIT OCW-centric degrees for Scottish Americans, and for Scots too (a number of people at the SASP meeting could explore focusing the development of this) ... and maybe Scottish genealogy at WUaS (Pat?) and Scottish history, and law (Ken?), and singing of Scottish cantaireachd (Scottish singing to transmit orally the word I dare not write with you reading ... gnipip, in reverse ... for John and Susie Park's grandchildren? ... and Pat's 4 generations of descendants? ... and many others' descendants there?) ... perhaps even engaging the Suzuki method for musical instruments in brand new ways for singing -
https://suzukiassociation.org/about/suzuki-method/ - and Scottish-wise (if not for gnipip, again in reverse, since you are simply not interested in this)
 - and for kids with parental involvement esp. (per this interesting overview of the Suzuki method above), and creatively  ... and for Scottish Country Dancing courseware (Paul and Sarah Jean?) ...

An item for the SASP board meeting in Feb on 2/1/23 at the Atria in Monroeville or Murrysville (somewhat Scottish names in themselves:) ...?

There is much opportunity at World Univ & Sch and especially if longevity genetics drugs emerging facilitate us living beyond for example 122 years of age ... (eg Board members on the Silicon Valley biggest 150 companies were earning $189,000 / year per a report I heard and publication I received in the Stanford Law School  about 10 years ago from Mark Lonergan's group which I heard about in a Stanford Law group for Board members' ... monthly meeting) ...

As Aye, Hold fast, best wishes, nary a word about gnipip, in reverse, Friendly greetings,
Scott

Suzuki method language learning

Suzuki noted that children all over the world learn to speak their mother tongue with ease, no matter how complicated it might be. They learn to speak by listening, primarily to their parents and caregivers, and then imitating.
