Searched on 'sdgacademy' using the WUaS search field for one of the first times (eg  from https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Subjects). Didn't find it listed in 'Courses' for example.

Will wiki-add it to the main Courses' wiki subject page (not yet in other languages) - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Courses - and add a reference to you (if that might be of help to you in your ISSIP innovation technology scouting). Eventually I hope that people will wiki teach or add to WUaS directly, and easily, and that WUaS can hire teachers too to build 7,139 living language communities (with parallels to Wikipedia's 300, and Wikidata too), and with a focus on excellent resources, facilitate people-to-people teaching to WUaS by wiki-adding resources, eg something they loved teaching about to Vimeo or YouTube (creatively or academically or both) - and that these teachers and this wiki-adding will be done by many of all 7.9 billion people on planet, in their languages - each with a WUaS username associated with a Wikidata Pin #.

Really nice to talk. Turns out there's an REI in Contra Costa county too ... so I'll go check out the one in REI this evening, and maybe the other one tomorrow (where the district 7 state senator has his Orinda office ... but it's near Walnut Creek, if I remember correctly).

The walk to the UU Church and back this evening was good ... and thanks for sending the AAA card as well.  

Am seeking to develop a plan in the days' and weeks' ahead for May ... possibly even tomorrow or the next day if I hear back from Ed, for example!

Ma, I like the idea of cooperative legal structures like REI - where members are owners and get financial benefits too, emerging from 1960s and '70s re-envisioning of society & economics. But while REI is one of the biggest mainstream co-ops I know of, and for retail outdoor gear (not a food co-op or an agricultural co-op, other prevalent 'real' co-ops), REI has been successful enough financially not to benefit its members with great economic value, as I see this, these days. Starting in outdoors' people's garages in the Seattle area to make mountain climbing gear together affordable and as a visionary co-op economically and grass roots as I understand this, 


it's navigating the realism of economic success but not the realism of customers customer service, good value outdoor gear these days, or even products I (people) want ... like they may not be making a REI brand ski jacket any more ...  go figure...

What do you think? What could people do to change these management practices?

World University and School, while not structuring legally like a Co-op seeks to further develop it's Business Meeting in the manner of QUAKERs & Friends and consensus re co-op thinking, and remain open to a related open cooperative conversation ... But in practice, WUaS Monthly Business Meeting is still very small, which has many benefits too ... But seeks to continue to call for input and ideas before and after beginning to hire people.

Interesting REI history starting in 1935, then incorporating legally as co-op in 1938, and first selling things on a shelf in a food co-op ... out of the visionary at the time Pacific NORTHWEST (since many people came to the NW for a kind of vision ... not forgetting Native Americans still there too) ... 




It could be good to add a WUaS page like this ..

But I couldn't find a REI BRAND SKI JACKET in a quick Google search, albeit many other SKI JACKETS' brands that REI carries ... kinda crazy that they apparently don't carry a ski jacket they make and which is of value ... (Walmart carries their Great Value products; JC Penny doesn't carry now their St John's brand quarter zip pullovers in physical store)

Has implications for WUaS physical-digital bookstores, computer stores, Lego Robotics' stores ... Re questions of quality ... 


Would be interested also in finding possibly

My current ski jacket's zipper got jammed about 2 weeks ago, right at the bottom, and yet the zipper still pulls up for warmth in this cold house ('unsafe house'). Although pulling it over my head isn't what's supposed to happen thanks to zippers, this ~20 year old slightly worn winter jacket still works  ... making my search for an on-sale clearance REI or Lands End brand jacket less imminent ... in temperate, yet cold still Bay Area ... with rain today and grayness in the light!


And what jammed, so firmly, should be reversible ... but not yet after multiple tries ... hence Great Aunt Martha Briscoe thinking :)

But this could be it from Lands' End and at the right price too ... at $107.97 (below)... cool ... :)

Am curious if by your saying 'Bye' last night as we signed off, whether you meant "Gets" too (re the idea of 'Buy' the 'salvage house' at 670 Ridgecrest Canyon)? ... and especially regarding a now 'safe house' in Canyon ... (and with the WUaS Corp having paid another $800 dollars in taxes) .. .and re Ed when we talked a length 2 Thursdays ago, he said that California was rich with money too ... 

Your conscientious objector son continues to call for abolition of the illegal sex industry, and worldwide, and their illegal networks of violence ... 

Still haven't heard back from Ed yet, having called him Sunday, but if there's a possible district 7 state senator (S.G.), California governor (G.N.), a federal government lawyer (?), and an Ed Smyth MD communication unfolding regarding 670 Ridgecrest Canyon 94516, it may take a little while still ... and if some of them have their own issues & entanglements too, and possibly illegally, it may take even longer! ...  and as the abolition movement grows even! But am staying tuned ... 

It's a bit rainy & gray here today, reminding me of the light in Scotland even, where I'm appreciative of the ~10 months of sun in the SF Bay Area  ... 

How to circulate to meet a great life partner, who's somewhat wonderfully cheery smart, and good :)? Continuing to circulate! Connecting naturally with common interests has much merit (esp re Lacan's 'desire' focus )

Will the genetic engineering revolution play a role in some of this in a new way? FDA clinical trials may be shorter than before non-epidemic of coronavirus but much scientific thinking and time will go into making these upcoming drugs safe, and proving this too:)

A mid-20s' year old MD to be would be a dream as a possible friend life partner to be ... for maybe very long lives indeed :)
