Am an appreciator in these regards of what I'll even call a kind of Christian ethics - eg including east coast / British Quaker & Unitarian - with the law in these regards * * * Scottish small piping - 'Honey in the Bag' album

H Sri Rifai, Andrzej, MariuszS, Petros, WUaS family, Rohit, Nidahas, nidahasvidyalaya, WUaS Board, Peter, mazumdarp, Marisol, Shahrzad, Shahbaz, Tanya, All,

Thanks for your email, and Season's Greetings to you all - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/12/twinpods-physaria.html. I'd like to introduce you all to Tanya, the first matriculated student at WUaS, (and Shahbaz you may know already, who is the second matriculated student, but who withdrew / dropped out, and both pre-licensing and accreditation, which WUaS is still planning for, first in California).
.
As you may have read in the WUaS Annual Meeting Minutes - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/12/indiana-bat.html - for the WUaS Corporation, Larry Viehland, the Chair of the WUaS Board and the CFO (acting of the WUaS Press / Corp), sent in a check for $200 to WUaS, which I received in Canyon 94516 on 12/24/20, ... and for which he'll get 20 further shares in the WUaS Corporation, planning to go public with an IPO, and which I'll note in the spreadsheet.

Thanks to Tanya in 2019, and Rifai in 2020, for letting me know about the Stanford 'Mine Pi' cryptocurrency - minepi.com/sgkmac - sgkmac (and you can use this reference code too, am appreciative of the Stanford name re credibility) - which I'm mining daily, and thus earning free cryptocurrency (which will be exchangeable in the future - potentially in all ~200 countries), and which WUaS is seeking to disseminate to all 7.8 billion people on the planet, each a Wikidata Q-item # in order to alleviate poverty via Universal Basic Income experiments. If possible the WUaS Corporation will first list on the emerging Silicon Valley LONG TERM stock exchange (which has passed one SEC hurdle a year ago), and for which this single cryptocurrency, the Stanford 'Mine Pi' - planned for most of ~200 countries - may be the basis!

Happy Holidays!

Dear friends,

Happy New Year 2021! And Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

What are you up to over these upcoming holidays? Will you celebrate with family in video conferencing? The Brown kin (the maiden name of my mother) will be getting together tomorrow in Skype video ;) and some Cuttyhunk family and friends on Xmas Day in Google Meet!

I hope this finds you well!

Here's the Earlham College (the college my mother went to her first year) aging reversal article, in the Harvard Medical School in Ophthalmology!:

“Earlham grads named co-authors on groundbreaking study that reversed the clock on aging”

https://earlham.edu/news/article/?id=72924&r=40315&title=earlham-graduates-named-co-authors-on-groundbreaking-harvard-study-that-reversed-the-clock-on-aging&fbclid=IwAR3dPTy49q1N7JmdGIO33mzKNyXQhlCWnD507VaCHz35MYZu6c4dLGOYbYA

And All, is this article suggesting promising research for getting genetic material to MUSCLES????? -

NeuBase Therapeutics Announces Positive Preclinical In Vivo Data for PATrOL™-enabled Anti-gene for the Treatment of Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1

Genetic aging reversal by adding genes back into aging cells is indeed a novel re-conceptualizing and not easy to get my mind around in the details.

And what are your thoughts about AGING REVERSAL via genetic engineering - re Harvard / MIT Prof of Genetics' George Church's thinking https://youtu.be/bnCEIPQFNnk (1 minute) (and see the 'longevity label in blog - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/longevity).

And what about getting genetic information via genetic engineering to bones next, re aging reversal questions?

Another fascinating remarkable development:

And FREE MONEY?: you can begin to get free money daily with Stanford ‘Mine Pi’ crypto-currency; use this code: sgkmac

The mine-able Stanford 'Mine Pi' crypto-currency - minepi.com/sgkmac (and, on your smartphone, please use sgkmac as a referral code) - could become the basis for single crypto-currency in all ~200 countries.

WORLD UNIV & SCH is seeking to facilitate high quality free universal education (wiki too) to all 7.8 billion people on the planet, and in all ~200 countries, and in 7,117 known living languages, as well as to alleviate poverty among all 7.8 billion people, potentially by distributing a single crypto-currency backed by most of ~200 countries’ central banks as Universal Basic Income experiments.

And glad also to have almost finished recording in digital form my first musical album - 'Honey in the Bag' Scottish Small Pipes' bagpiping album -

https://scottmacleodhoneyinthebagscottishsmallpipesbagpiping.bandcamp.com/

http://scottmacleod.com/piping.htm  :)

More about my Scottish Small Pipes' album here, and with Yo Yo Ma and Steve Martin (on banjo) - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/10/turquoise-parrot-neophema-pulchella.html?m=0 - inspirations!

And 5TH Book is coming any day now (it's a birthing process:) -

"Light, Float, Sit, Watsu ~ Virtually: Bodymind Electricity Sings to Me at Harbin Hot Springs & Other Traveling Poems" - emerging soon, but besides a few blog entries, there aren't any web pages for this yet, but will emerge here ~ https://www.amazon.com/author/scottmacleodworlduniversity ~ and in the Poetry Press at World University and School ~ http://worlduniversityandschool.org/AcademicPress.html ~ a new publishing house! :)

If aging reversal pans out, it's a whole new world! Time grows longer, much longer! Much love for longer? To be seen!

Friendly inquiry: Is the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic of the past year in part a worldwide fire drill, with the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2 virus) being tested now one of many viruses giving rise to the ‘common cold?’ Were the events in Wuhan, China, and in Lombardy and Veneto, Italy, products of laboratories that got this pandemic happening in the internet news’ media? Further thoughts in blog and re 5 hypothetical news’ items are here - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/04/himalyan-monal-how-are-harbin-hot.html. If so, this might be very good news regarding the genetic engineering revolution underway, and for preparedness in the event of an emergency and in many other ways.

Warm greetings from the San Francisco Bay Area.

Merry Xmas & Happy New Year!

Warmest regards, Scott

Hi Patti, Barbara, Taylor, Bruce, David, Heather, Janie, Alex, Ed, Linda, Sioux, Scott, David, Rob, RSCDS teachers, All,

Am glad, as I've emailed before, that my new Scottish Small Pipes' album, 'Honey in the Bag' is emerging - http://scottmacleod.com/piping.htm - but as I upload the 38 planned tracks, I'm also finding a need for photos as part of the process - https://scottmacleodhoneyinthebagscottishsmallpipesbagpiping.bandcamp.com/ - and for each track. This is adding a new unexpected element and taking time too!

I'm attaching a new pic from today from my new (possibly temporary 'safe house') in the SF Bay Area, barefoot (because my Birkenstock slipped off as I was moving in 3 seconds to get in the 'Photo Booth' pic on MacBook Air laptop) with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.

Some remarkable, recent aging reversal genetic engineering research out of Harvard and MIT:

And if we do live another 1000 years or much longer even???, and are communicating then, regarding these 2 new Harvard / MIT Prof. of Genetics' George Church articles - https://hms.harvard.edu/news/custom-ordered-cells (https://twitter.com/geochurch/status/1335318813320114178?s=20) - and - https://hms.harvard.edu/news/vision-revision (https://twitter.com/WorldUnivAndSch/status/1335397228475768832?s=20 ) ... I will look back through such communications like emails and journals or logs, for some refreshers of memory:)

In George Church's 1 minute-long 60 Minutes' video on
60 Minutes: "How soon could humans reverse the aging process with genetic engineering?" (1 minute)
https://youtu.be/bnCEIPQFNnk
- he does discuss reversing memory genes I think ... :)

Still seeking to upload the pic on the right of the Bandcamp page - from the Robbie Burns' Night in the San Jose Scottish Country Dance to my newly updated piping website - http://scottmacleod.com/piping.htm - but curiously can't seem to change the permissions in FileZilla FTP!

Who here is making forays into 'riffing' with Bandcamp (which seems much better designed than SoundCould or ReverbNation, for ex.)? It's also free for musicians to upload to, and then share one's music for anywhere from $1 per track and up. And the conversation with Bandcamp is indeed turning this emerging Scottish Small Pipes' "Honey in the Bag" album into a further creative project :)

Per this attached photo, I may explore playing to the GG Bridge in kilt with good mic-ing in subsequent Honey in the Bag recordings :)

Musical cheers,
Scott

Am on a learning curve with bandcamp ... https://scottmacleodhoneyinthebagscottishsmallpipesbagpiping.bandcamp.com/ ... all of sudden photos become relevant, and none really work so far in my thinking, yet there's also an experimental possibility here too ... and on with experimenting ... may try to get some good photos with long-ish hair, before deciding whether to continue to let it grow.

This Friday, 12/4, if anyone bought any of my new Scottish small piping tracks from Bandcamp, I'd make all the money (since bandcamp waives its ~15% cut), and it's a good goal with which to keep uploading tunes (I'm aiming to add 38 tunes in total - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/02/western-honey-bee-re-my-upcoming-honey.html - in this my first Scottish Small Pipes' album, called "Honey in the Bag"). Also, in uploading my 3rd tune yesterday, I could select the option for a 35% discount to people who buy all 3 tracks (or more) currently listed. So I think the $3.00 dollars for all three tracks would become about $2.00, since I'm asking $1.00 per track. Am emailing friends about this too :) Not quite the Scot Lauren MacColl;s bandcamp website - https://laurenmaccoll.bandcamp.com/ - but am learning from this esp.

Hi Rob, nice to hear from you. And to you! Sincerely, Scott

Are you engaging blockchain technology? And are you mostly virtual, living in CT, but with office in TX? AM GLAD THAT MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch IS AN AUTHORIZED CARRIER OF 3 LEGO ROBOTICS' kits, BUT HOW BEST TO SET UP OUR ACTUAL-VIRTUAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES' STORE, WITH BOOKS TOO, IN ALL 200 COUNTRIES and in all their main languages? With pharmaceuticals (like aging reversal drugs?) and hospital technologies' too! Glad too my mother is in her new home in Verona, PA, not far from your mother's place, and where Jean Thomas will be moving on 12/29/20 I think. How are you doing? Are you finding time for Grateful Dead concerts, for ex? I've probably heard 'been TO' more Dead concerts in the past few years than would have been possible from 1965-79 (my cherry picking years:) ... am hoping you're well ... Friendly regards, Scott

Happy Christmas, Scott!  It was just Michael and me yesterday, today more of my family will convene via Zoom to play board games.  I am not the best in my family, let's put it that way!  But it will be fun.
Do you know the legend of the Wren?  That's being celebrated by some today.  I knew of it first from an Ian and Sylvia record (yes, an LP!) many many years ago.  I know a lot more about it now.  It's part of celebrations for St. Stephen's Day (today) with many other aspects involved as well.
Hope things are going well for you!

     Susan

Happy Christmas, Susan too! Sounds like a fun time, ~ playing physical board games virtually, if so! :)

Is this the pretty 'legend of the Wren' song bird to which you refer -
Ian & Sylvia - Cutty Wren

Would be fun to explore singing it online even (if it could be done:) If not, can you point me please to an online recording?
Happy St. Stephen's Day!

Hi Scott,

Yes, working from home in CT.  We’re not doing anything with blockchain yet.  My mom now lives in MD with Deirdre.  They were actually living in South Africa for several years and then when Deirdre’s husband died unexpectedly they moved back to the U.S.  We’re all well.  I’ve been to a fair number of Dead & Company shows in the past few years.  It’s not the same of course but it’s still fun.

Thanks,

Rob

Hi Rob,

Thanks again for your email.
Am kind of curious if the Mazumdar parents could move back to Pittsburgh from MD (where my mother and I visited them all in Baltimore 2019 and even to Longwood, since such continuing care centers as L in Oakmont are supposed to care contractually for people in perpetuity (even if their money runs out) ... and regarding aging reversal via genetic engineering especially which seems to be on the horizon. Am thinking Pin, and his younger brother Pat (not a SSA alum), could even help insure that such places support seniors/residents in perpetuity in their roles in the federal govt ... And, if I have kids in the next few years, I'd like to explore mine possibly going to Shady Side ... (I could see however when I'm 85 moving into Kendal Hanover retirement center, to be close to Cuttyhunk, as well as a great university, even as World Univ & Sch develops in people's homes :)

I've been giving some thought to BlockChain ledger -eg  https://twitter.com/hashtag/WUaSBlockChain?src=hashtag_click - https://twitter.com/hashtag/WUaSBlockChainLedger?src=hashtag_click - but WUaS would consider building out with it possibly with a single cryptocurrency's block chain ledger (such as Stanford's 'Mine Pi' - https://minepi.com/sgkmac) and, importantly, backed by the US, and most of ~200 countries' central banks or legal systems, somehow (maybe due to cooperatives' law).

I haven't been to any Dead & Co shows, like I saw almost no Dead shows live either ... but it's been fun to make my first Scottish Small Pipes' album (http://scottmacleod.com/piping.htm) ... and am curious to move to a kind of modal harmony sound, like a Steeleye Eye Span sound, or Ian & Sylvia sound (having heard back just after your first email today from Susan Worland, a very fine violin player of SCD, and who plays in the Santa Cruz symphony about Ian & Sylvia) ...

Hi Ma,

Thank you for the cocoa truffles (almost gone:), the piano-playing opportunity for lessons, the Mona Lisa HotSox, the cedar boughs and 3 pine cones that have formed my 'Christmas tree' on bookshelf, and the lovely Harry & David pears, which were ripe on Christmas day, but not yet gone! ;)

Very nice too to visit with you and David especially in Zoom yesterday and glad it worked out there - and talk tutoring in part! And very very nice to visit with you, Cathy, Steve, Sandy, and Ann on the 24th in Zoom - and to talk nature / ecology:) Hope you have a great week ahead in this holiday time!

Hi Rob, nice to hear from you. And to you! Sincerely, Scott

Are you engaging blockchain technology? And are you mostly virtual, living in CT, but with an office in TX? I've probably heard 'been TO' more Dead concerts in the past few years than would have been possible from 1965-79 (my cherry picking years:) ... i hope you're well ... Friendly regards, Scott

Hi Ma, (& David),

What do think 🤔 f the Amish moving to NE Vermont per something we were talking about on Xmas day (regarding polio vaccine innoculating in the '70s, and Dad, Gordon, as Secretary of Health in the state of PA, and protecting the innocent /minors I think re something you said)-

‘They just sort of showed up’: The Amish find a home in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom
The Brownington Amish — Vermont’s sole Amish church district or settlement — have become a colorful fixture, their revived farms giving a boost to the region’s flagging agriculture even as their energies and skills give sharp competition to local building contractors.

What role could psychiatry, the law, and legal culture, and culture too, play, in protecting minors, I wonder? Am an appreciator in these regards of what I'll even call a kind of Christian ethics - eg including east coast / British Quaker & Unitarian - with the law in these regards.

Sending love, Scott

Scottish small piping - 'Honey in the Bag' album

*

Hi Ma,

Just recorded Cabar Feidh as march, - and strathspey at 120 bpm (a goal) - but not yet as reel (at 74 bpm) since it's taking time ... then I have about 5 tunes or so left on my list ... https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/02/western-honey-bee-re-my-upcoming-honey.html ... to be done recording the first go through of my Honey in the Bag album ... would then explore playing all the tunes at the upper end of the tempos that Bruce Wright suggests in this blog post, and with fewer little fingering mistakes ... and then am looking further toward a musical vision ... could conceivably play these tunes LIVE at the almost Burns' Night in Marin thanks to Fred Hamilton Dargie there, where playing live will add a whole new aspect to envisioning ... and I could also record this too  ... making progress ... (not sure yet about heading to a professional studio ... and for creation of a CD too ...)

Maybe online piano lessons with Patti will generate some ideas too

Heading out for a walk soon, after playing Cabar Feidh as a reel at 74-80 bpm first :)

Are you finding your way to music-making in any way?

Love, Scott

Ma,

Well, recorded Cabar Feidh as a reel at 74 bpm somewhat successfully, and uploaded it here -
and now later and tomorrow i'll likely record the remaining 5 tunes :)

Somewhat interesting journey :) ... all for further learning, and building from too !

Thank you for your nice thank you note. You're welcome, and thank you also for your nice gifts!

Heading out for a walk! :)

Love, Scott
