Summer school is underway, and so is the CS First lesson planning support we offer teachers during this time. With the aim for students to unleash their creativity and curiosity, we’ve got some ideas up our sleeves of how to bring your students’ summer plans to life through code.
Dive into summer with Adventure on the High Seas
Summer and the ocean go hand in hand. In a 45-90 minute lesson, students will learn how to animate an ocean wave, then tell an ocean, river, or water-related story about their grand summer plans with the family.
Try Adventure on the High Seas
Teach some summer sayings
In this creative lesson, students can explore figurative language with an emphasis on metaphors, similes, personification, hyperbole, and idioms. Keep it relevant to the season and then get students to talk about summer plans.
