Dear Mr. Morrow,

Very nice to meet you at your Bicycle Heaven.

I have 'half an eye' out for a Schwinn Voyageur 18 speed touring bike from the 1990s (made well for a person who's 6' 4" tall, and around 200 pounds) - but only with a great DIY lightweight electric bike motor with light weight battery.

Am exploring adding again a Do it Yourself Electric Motor to this well made Schwinn ... when the right one comes along (with 500 mile range lithium ion lightweight battery, and possibly a motor that I could put into a rear hub, or a rear wheel with a motor already built into it, and with a throttle on the handlebars) ... post the ZAP DIY electric bike motor I had on my Scwinn Voyageur 19 speed in the 1990s, -

In the PS-s below are some related ideas and resources

Great to meet you. Thanks for the inspiration of your amazing Bicycle Museum ... and with much from the 1960s and '70s too (a time I study academically as well).

Will text you when I create a daily blog post partly about all of this :)

Thank you again for your Bicycle Heaven - Pittsburgh vision!

Best regards,
Scott

Dear Mr. Morrow ((412) 716 - 4956),

Nice to meet you 2 Fridays ago, and here's a blog entry of the email I sent you then -

I think I'm writing to find the perfect iterated new Copenhagen wheel (motor in a bicycle's back wheel -

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copenhagen_Wheel) as concept - with throttle - to add to a hypothetical well built Schwinn Voyageur 18 speed 25 " touring bike from the 1990s, with a 500 mile range light weight battery ...

Do you have any old  Copenhagen wheels in Bicycle Heaven Museum and ship for future viewing? Thanks again for your inspiring Bicycle Heaven museum. :)

Best wishes,
Scott

Mr. Craig Morrow,

More about the great
Copenhagen wheel project here with a MIT web site -

Do you have any iterations of the Copenhagen wheel in your Bicycle Heaven Museum?

Would be interested at World Univ & Sch bicycle and mechanical engineering design (https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Mechanical_Engineering https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Design https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Subjects) in some years to iterate on this further with a throttle, and securing it somehow further, and giving it enough 'torque' to carry 4 full panniers, and a bike trailer, so lots of weight, and for hills for example in the SF Bay Area - and a 500 mile range on one charge with lightweight battery. Ideally this Copenhagen wheel would work on many bicycles - amazing!

Interesting to read their
"If you are interested in owning a wheel, producing, licensing or distributing, please contact Superpedestrian for more information"

In what ways could the Physical-Digital WUaS Educational Services' Stores also begin to make it available, and even to people in all ~200 countries and in their main languages - http://worlduniversityandschool.org/AcademicPress.html ?

Will add this here too re further brainstorming -

Thoughts, ideas, questions, suggestions?

With very best wishes, Scott

Soaked in the Berkeley Springs' warm (not hot!), long rectangular pool and explored the town of Berkeley Springs / Bath in West Virginia, dating from well before George Washington visited it first in 1748 ...

Just back safe and sound, T.. ... Just bagpiped a little too ... Soaked in the Berkeley Springs' warm (not hot!) long rectangular pool and explored the town of Berkeley Springs / Bath dating from well before George Washington visited it first in 1748 ...

https://berkeleysprings.com/trail/gwtrail-5.html ... Some comparisons between Middletown CA, 4 miles from Harbin Hot Springs, Harbin itself, and Berkeley Springs ...

After soaking and exploring, I went to  Woodmont Natural Resources' Management area for a stellar spring green and flowery hike ... How was your day? :)

*

I asked a number of people while actually soaking if Berkeley Springs was a hippy place in the 1960s and '70s ... Some said yes, one said it still is, and he described himself as a hippy with longer hair last week than  his almost Beatles' haircut ... Said he has land in the area ... As I soaked in the middle of this little outdoor state park, between two bath houses with "Roman Baths" heated to 104F, I was struck culturally by the number of couples walking by (some large people) ... A lot of people also were filling up their water bottles under a roof just beside the 2nd floor museum, under which was one of the Roman baths. Some people were friendly, others were stand offish ... One woman working walked with me into the bath house under the museum. Not very educated, she was friendly  and there was a little selling of both sets of "Roman Baths" I didn't inquire into what made them "Roman" ... There were some families with kids too in this state park, 2 kids with nets searching to catch the fish in the  warm pools filled by 74F source water ... The shops across the street from the Museum and baths were gifty ... And almost New Agey in 2023 ... The museum woman mentioned a store called Berkeley Sprigs' Memories gift shop on  the main street where the owner was sharp and had traveled (NY, DC, FL). ... and whose sister Jeanne Mozier had co-authored a history of Berkeley Springs in a familiar series on history of towns. This woman Barb Wolfe also said it was a hippy place in the 1960s and 1970s then the artists came then the food people (re cafes I think) came (a sociological perspective ). The man I liked with the hippy-like part down the middle haircut also said the Chamber of Commerce has an exhibit of Berkeley Springs' history ... Am curious how Harbin Hot Springs and Berkeley Springs could emerge in parallel in Google Street View with time slider and with ethno-wiki-virtual-world-graphy  of all of us building this together in a realistic virtual earth for history as a new form and method of history :) Berkeley Springs' culture ? Not countercultural ... more entwined with the Town of Bath than alternative Harbin since 1972 is, 4 miles away, dis-entwined with Middletown ... Not clothing optional, with cooler waters, not such a unique separate living culture as Harbin ... Glad to have soaked (the only one soaking in the pools outside today anomalously) :) Let's hike soon :)

*

Thanks for calling ... You've been to Berkeley Springs before too - do I recall correctly? :)😊

Hi T.. ... the timing of your call yesterday makes me wonder how to grow an abolition movement of the illegal sex and drug industries internationally and their latent networks of violence at (Berkeley Springs) state (and national) parks too like in West Virginia  ... and at Univ Pitt Med Ctr in WV, MD and PA, for ex. ... I think I'll let you finish the Tuscarora trail on your own this year ... and in order to continue to grow World Univ & Sch's abolition movement to protect people... potentially all 7.9 billion people on the planet each a Wikidata PIN # ... Friendly greetings, Scott  ( http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/care?m=0 )

Hi T..!  Thanks for your text message and re the first curious call from you in months ... and regarding my ongoing call for abolishing the illegal sex and drug industries internationally and their latent networks of violence ... and in that  tri-state WV MD PA area (re potentially corrupt law enforcement and corrupt univ pitt med ctr too ... at Berkeley Springs ...  For comparison's sake with Harbin Hot Springs ...   I didn't get a vibe of a rogue or a criminal element or lawbreaking element at Berkeley springs - yesterday - and no 'negative vortex' fallen? energy culturally and in people either (yesterday) which is a phrase Sunheart Sunheart used for Harbin Hot Springs ... but I think a call from a US state department official who might be seeing prostitutes illegally in DC area and in the Middle East ... could be a way that a corrupt state department official could generate a negative vortex at Berkeley Springs or on the Tuscarora Ridge trail too ... Have you or other government officials been seeing prostitutes in Berkeley Springs and the surrounding area. I also found your racist comment on a last hike inappropriate and scary from someone who may have aspired at one time to be us secretary of state ... Have been including you in emails for safety and security reasons ... and in further examining  or inquiring about corruption in the univ Pitt med ctr ... Abolition-ally, growing an abolition movement (potentially with you - please join the struggle to end modern slavery), in asylum from CA in PA, and as a conscientious objector, Friendly greetings, Scott  (http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/conscientious%20objection?m=0) 🙏 (http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/ethics?m=0)

How best to grow an abolition movement of modern slavery in all 200 countries and in their main languages, I wonder T..? Universal Basic Income experiments could be one approach and with even Stanford Mine Pi  cryptocurrency and law and law enforcement and AI and electronic medical records as well 🙏Scott (I am sending you 1π! Pi is a new digital currency developed by Stanford PhDs, with over 35 million members worldwide. To claim your Pi, follow this link https://minepi.com/sgkmac and use my username (sgkmac) as your invitation code.)

*

Am inviting you T.. to be a model of abolishing the illegal sex and drug industries and their latent networks of violence in all 200 countries ... in a Quaker Friendly way by being an example of anti-slavery behavior (the conscientious objection "Let this Life Speak" idea in Quaker parlance) 🙏Scott (http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/Quaker?m=0 and http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/Quakers?m=0) Please help stop the wrongful buying and selling of people, including sex trafficking of kids tragically -  which may have been happening in the SF Quaker Meeting and Pacific Yearly Meeting since 1949 and Joel Bean) & re law, law enforcement +, T..! Dear Barb at Berkeley Springs' Memories' gift shop,

Nice to meet you yesterday. Greetings. I couldn't access your Berkeley Springs Memories' website - and for your gmail for example.

Are you related by any chance to a (now deceased) 'Ginny Wolfe" (of Philadelphia), the first wife of a favorite first cousin once removed, John Briscoe (who died about 10 years ago), who had 2 sons with her - Mark Briscoe and Alex Briscoe both in northern California? (Just saw a text message unusually today ... making me think there might be a connection between you and his mother).

The idea for a realistic virtual Harbin (and a realistic virtual earth - for history and ethnography etc) to which we all could add photos and conversations and oral histories, and memories would be created by ethno-wiki-virtual-world-graphy by all of us - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/ethno-wiki-virtual-world-graphy

Here's the beginning of #RealisticVirtualHarbin Hot Springs, and think Google Street View with time slider, Maps, Earth, TensorFlowAI and little Google's Pegman becoming avatar bots of you and I ... and for soaking too from our home bathtubs:

With your great knowledge of Berkeley Springs, how could we create a realistic virtual Berkeley Springs, I wonder - and for virtual visiting too?

Will add you to the World Univ & Sch Monthly Business Meeting emailings.

Best wishes, abolitionally, Friendly greetings, Scott

'Bicycle robot out of Lego robotics - from Scott'
(to Craig Morrow at Bicycle Heaven Museum, Pgh PA)

Craig, from texting and more -

"Hi Craig ... Here's a pic of the beginning of the Bicycle I just made out of the Lego Robotics' kit WeDo 2.0 ... but it also runs, has a 'road' to ride on, and still needs to be programmed with the Lego block programming language (for kids) .... stay tuned :) (http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/robotics?m=0 ... Will add a video too here when done -
and share video with you, as well as add your fractal Bicycle Heaven Museum online exhibit here too :)"

Haven't seen yet anyone create a bicycle that rolls & balances with WeDo 2.0 Lego Robotics' kit

Pic taken in the Carnegie Library near the Mt Washington grand view overlook and that's Mt Washington in the background even

What's a robot?

Robot definitions -

1
(especially in science fiction) a machine resembling a human being and able to replicate certain human movements and functions automatically.
"the robot closed the door behind us"

https://languages.oup.com/google-dictionary-en/

2
a type of automated machine that can execute specific tasks with little or no human intervention and with speed and precision.
https://www.techtarget.com/searchenterpriseai/definition/robot#:~:text=A%20robot%20is%20a%20type,in%20the%20last%2050%20years.

I chose to build this one of the 2  Lego Robotics' kit WeDo 2.0 videos I sent you a while ago

3. https://youtu.be/xXk22J2Xsco and 4. https://youtu.be/LmJsyF2YSuk (they may be basically the same build)

... and the first video has the Lego Programming Blocks' sequence (with the Lego Block Programming language that comes with WeDo 2.0)

But maybe some inventive Lego Robot WeDo 2.0 bicycle builder will figure out, with "Pulling" here -
how to build a bicycler that balances ...

Masahiko Yamaguchi,
Bipedal Bike Riding Robot

(But it uses remotes control ...)

Now how to build this with Lego Robotics' Kit WeDo2.0 ?

Since Masahiko Yamaguchi built the bicycle, Craig, can you possibly find a way to get a replica, or similar, of such a bicycle for Bicycle Heaven Museum ? :)

Adding this text message here to 4/21/23 "Morrow's Honeysuckle ..." Post - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2023/04/morrows-honeysuckle-bicycle-heaven.html - and to today's 6/6/23 "Red Clover ..."  blog post too - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2023/06/red-clover-vt-vermont-state-flower.html :)
