I think Ed Smyth MD knows much more than I do, and from a variety of sources, including RN Glory Lane who lived in Canyon 94516 for 4 years when I did, and thus potentially from RN Lois Aldrich who has lived in Canyon since the late 1960s I think.

I'm doing fine. A few warm days here in Maine after lots of rain. Our son Kenneth got married 2 weeks ago to Chiara Marin in Italy. It was a wonderful event. They just moved from Oxford back to Edinburgh, where they met.

The merge suggestion is interesting. Based on DNA results, we are in fact descendants of Torquil Og MacLeod, b.c. 1320, who was a grandson of Leod and the 1st chief of the MacLeods of Lewis. Raasay MacLeod descend from Lewis MacLeods.

I'm off to the MacLeod Clan Parliament on the Isle of Skye in 2 weeks where I will give a talk on the DNA of Clan MacLeod!

I see you're moving back to California!

BTW, we are planning a MacLeod family reunion at the lake here in Maine on Aug 3, 2024.

Mark, I was wondering this morning if you ever engaged in the Clan MacLeod parliaments ... Don't think I've ever been to one, but was a member of a Clan MacLeod association particularly in my teens for a couple of years ... Around age 12 I even wrote to Dame Flora MacLeod of MacLeod in Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye asking how to begin to play the bagpipes, from New Haven, Connecticut - and she wrote back :), suggesting contacting Seamus MacNeill in Glasgow who started the College of Piping, and was an author of the College of Piping's Green Tutor Vol. 1, which I used to begin piping with (... and 2 piping albums later - in 2020 and 2022 ... on the Scottish small pipes ... both accessible here - http://scottmacleod.com/piping.htm - (for free)) ...
