Regarding my question about Google artificial intelligence and your 'Responsible AI' (RAI) methodologies, and your "MIT SMR is creating its own guidelines for the use of generative AI, though my gut-reaction answer to your question about using it in our work is that our content is often sensitive and as we own the copyright, releasing it for use by LLMs ... ," I find Google's TensorFlow Responsible AI 4 principles (below too in the PPS) - fairness, interpretability, privacy and security (https://www.tensorflow.org/responsible_ai) - germane, for example, to MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch's growth of #WUaSArtificialIntelligence in 200 countries and in their main languages, and eventually in all 7151 known living languages, and e.g. as emerging AI & ML Large Language Models.   

Professor Lessig, Allison Ryder, all, how do you think Creative Commons' licensing and law will inform the developing fields of responsible AI, and ethical AI, and related policy and regulatory frameworks, not only in the USA, but also in the European Union, and in all 200 countries, and as founder of Creative Commons' licensing / law? CC-4 MIT OpenCourseWare licensing, in 5 languages presently -

Dance ... (of genes too) 

Hi Ma,


The "Sleeping Beauty" ballet dance Sunday matinee you got a free ticket to go to in Pittsburgh sounds fun. Ballet dance can be such a visual 'trip' - (opera too); when not, micro-dozing can happen ... (and into a dream state sometimes too???:). Ballet and opera are interesting explorations as 'realized visions' or 'manifesting envisioning s' too in western culture (and which dance and envisioning art often have or get most lovely halls or architectural masterpieces even, in the middle of cities - 'culturally' especially too).

In a related vein, is D.L. MD a 'sleeping beauty' (she's pretty here - ... )? And does or might she like this Sleeping Beauty ballet (from her semester in France too) and the story from Charles Perrault ("Charles Perrault's most well-known book is 'Tales of Mother Goose,' which included eight fairy tales: 'Sleeping Beauty', 'Little Red Riding Hood', 'Bluebeard', 'Puss in Boots', 'The Fairies', 'Cinderella', 'Ricky with the Tuft' and 'Little Tom Thumb' ... Might we connect - and even given my ambivalence (maybe about my own identity even too, where these genealogy inquiries affirm and also make further worrisome my own identity questions about which here I didn't really think about until I was ~60!) about connecting thus far?

How are you? Have your nosebleeds disappeared? 

well, a new Toyota ProAce electric camping & city van, with at least two 8-minute showers, & a toilet, getting 39 mpg-e, when they're introduced in the USA (2024?) ... smallish as a single vehicle for cities even? ... could be a good possible way to connect with D.L. MD potentially ... maybe dancing while on the road ... and maybe even watching ballet in such a little 'space traveling vehicle' ?:) 

Turns out Boulder, Colorado, where Grandpa was born had about 10000 people in 1910, and Vinton, Iowa, where he may have grown up in summers/ similar until his mother died at around age 36 or 38, giving birth to Aunt Martha, had about  3,300 in 1910 ... tiny populations ... and when did he enroll in Phillips Academy Exeter, and then MIT ? 

MAY BEGIN TO WRITE A BIOGRAPHY of my recollections of Grandpa in his WikiTree entry ... Just added a photo of his mother ... as well as him in a sombrero in Boulder as a child, newly found pictures in the online Boulder Historical Society to her Wikitree entry
