Sounds good but unfortunate not to be able to get to the full event. Some people are in the forest but access is blocked?

When I drove to the Bog Dam road from York Pond road into the White Mountain national forest on Saturday afternoon July 1, there were  nearly 10 law enforcement vehicles parked there, and no colorful Rainbow people whatsoever, unlike in 2008, 2009 and 2011, so I turned around to think about this unusual development with the Rainbow Gathering, in national parks (since 1972). Some online news' articles about this could be lampoons even ... so I wonder how many of the possibly ~8000 Rainbow people who attend such gatherings on average possibly, are at this New England Gathering. ... Heading into the Rainbow Gathering near Bog Dam Road 15 from the Androscoggins' Ranger District where I am with wifi presently ... I have some interest in spending all 7 days at the Gathering but am planning to meet you on Monday morning at Weeks' state park  potentially ...  Is that happening ? Perhaps we can talk  then about the Concord happening. Not sure about wifi access ahead ...

Just inquired with a fellow ethnographer / anthropologist, Michael I Niman, and one who wrote an ethnography of the Rainbow Gathering published in 2011, if there might be other ways in to the Rainbow Gathering in the White Mountains' National Forest ... but one of Forest Service web sites, as good as Rainbows can be in the woods, said the incident may peak on the 4th of July (and could this mean the Forest Service is planning something?) ...

I've written an ethnography of Actual-Virtual Harbin Hot Springs in northern California, "Naked Harbin Ethnography," which like the Rainbow Gathering got its current start in 1972, a time I'm interested in scholarly too, and refer to your book in it. 

There's quite a law enforcement presence near the first entrance onto Bog Dam Road from York Pond Road, and near the corner of Rte 110 / Milan Road and York Pond Road, such that I turned back just before it, having intended to head to the Rainbow Gathering this year, coming 12 hours from Pittsburgh, PA. This Forest Service / Rainbow Gathering drama or impasse probably happens every year. Any other ways into the Rainbow Gathering from other directions? Any Rainbow Gathering communication emailings I might somehow join please, that you know of?

I'd like to further write ethnographically about the Rainbow Gathering in 2023, where I've also written about the 2008, 2009, and 2011 Rainbow Gatherings that I've been to.

Thanks. Unlike the 3 Rainbow Gatherings that I've been to, there are no Rainbow people whatsoever that I've seen anywhere in the area interestingly.

I'd be most grateful if you could let me know where Rainbows might be gathering in the area of the White Mountain National Park or New Hampshire or similar ... as an alternative to the site here -

Hi Ma! Glad that all is well there. Greetings from near Henry Cutter's place whose house is getting a new foundation! In World Univ & Sch and myself growing an abolition movement and even regarding the National Park Service and National Forest Service out west too (tragically from what I gleaned from Reedies in the NPS candace lieber and peter lieber (shady side academy alum?) her partner, and friend Tym Lenderking and on Cuttyhunk too - abolish modern slavery re the illegal sex industry by the US federal government  - all re federal law) there were many NFS and New Hampshire law enforcement vehicles at a way into the Rainbow gathering, and I think the Gathering this year may be happening in smaller regional gatherings around the USA. Stuart-Sinclair Weeks with a warm welcome  has invited me to a number of Center for American Studies events some with native Americans in Weeks state park here nearby in NH on Monday and in Concord MA over the 4th of July.
