Turns out further I had about $640 dollars coming back on my Chase credit card (re a cash rewards' % arrangement I've had for years); got an email from Chase credit card yesterday morning that I had $635.06 coming, and when I called in the afternoon to get this, this amount had risen to about $641 - offsetting in a sense the $5.19 for the surprising Chase charges, and will be available on Sat. December 24th. Am impressed with Chase's web platform and information technology (in some ways). A dismal social science (economics and finance) or not, and deeply impoverished ... Perhaps things will get better financially in the new year ... and even for the next ~10,000 years if aging reversal and extreme longevity genetic drug therapies emerge (and with MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch especially).
