- The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Katalin Karikó, Ph.D., Senior Vice President of BioNTech. She then spoke on her history of working on mRNA for protein production and vaccine development.
- Research Development I session dove into developments that enable synergy, collaboration, and advances to unleash the full potential of drug development for patients.
- Patent Law session highlights include insights on how to build a comprehensive intellectual property portfolio, how to protect software innovation, and how current legal cases could influence the landscape for drug developers.
- Public Policy session shared how funding can be used to accelerate development, how partnerships can better and more expeditiously advance projects to clinic, and how it is critical to have inclusive and innovative clinical trials.
- Research Development II session wrapped up the day with exciting talks showing the research behind innovative and novel findings.
