Hi M,

Glad travel back from Cuttyhunk to the SF Bay Area went smoothly, and glad too to have our smartphone hotspots for you and me set up and working both on Cuttyhunk, and wherever we have wi-fi access while traveling.

Visiting the Robb's was great and our visit kindled in me an interest in delivering - opera-wise - language, words, music, symbols, poetry, lyrics, writing, what I wear clothing-wise (they seemed to be doing this just a bit - e.g. in the delivery of a sentence - with potential multiple meanings and in relation to the social experiences we were talking about, and possibly in the clothing they wore, and changed into, etc. (Maybe they're going to Opera in Boston these years, and learning from it:).

I can see exploring this further both in Google Voice, as well as especially with the Scratch drag and drop programming language - in its little stage for programming ...

... so I here and now just started using voice to create a sentence/express an idea basically for the first time ever:

"OK Google and I wonder how much as I speak this I could add this voice to scratch drag-and-drop and then coat (create) something with Google Voice in [started to say Scratch, but Google Voice wrote 'Scranton'] the scratch drag-and-drop programming language." ... pretty good and robust voice technologies -wow!

Stanford as an university experiment (emerging from the well-known Stanford university prisoner and guard social psychology experiment(s) beginning around 1971 leads me to want to see World University and School as an experiment more fulsomely, both with online roles in Google group video Hangouts in all kinds of ways, for example, but also administratively and across languages too.

Looks like they turned it into a film in 2015 - https://youtu.be/3XN2X72jrFk ... the Prof. Phil Zimbardo, who did this landmark experiment is still around and emeritus.

Have fun on Cuttyhunk, M!

L, Scott

Hi Zulu,

Nice to meet and talk with you on the plane yesterday.

Brainstorming-wise, here's the Veterinary Medicine - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Veterinary_Medicine - wiki subject at World University and School for open teaching and learning, and if you check on out the OCW, the Tufts' Vet courses, now retired (e.g. http://ocw.tufts.edu/Content/60/lecturenotes/896102) are the best examples of what WUaS would like to offer for credit online for online Vet Medicine degrees in all ~200 countries' official languages (but check out the MIT OCW courses here as an example too - https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/biological-engineering/20-442-molecular-structure-of-biological-materials-be-442-fall-2005/). This would all be on the non-profit side of WUaS.

On the for-profit WUaS Corp side, here's the very very beginning of both the Academic Press at WUAS (planned in all 7097 living languages) - http://worlduniversityandschool.org/AcademicPress.html - as well as the BOOKSTORE ... and for veterinary medicine technologies and supplies too.

Re a robotic vet, see - https://twitter.com/WorldUnivAndSch/status/1023919753436569600 & https://twitter.com/scottmacleod/status/1024138141127430144 - and imagine it doing robotic surgery in very remote Africa, with a vet at UC Davis or at Stanford doing the surgery. Here's the related robotic carpenter / cleaner idea -
WUaS Press / WUaS Co - https://twitter.com/WUaSPress/status/1023924935620747264 .

Let's stay in touch about some of this with time, and how might we best explore some of this further? Would you have interest in developing the WUaS for-profit side further in these regards at some point - and in South Africa / Africa, for example? (Unfortunately we don't have any money yet).

What's your experience with the Zulu language?

Sincerely,
Scott
