How could one begin to study yoga asana and gene expression with regard to a specific gene, SRSF1 gene, in terms of aging reversal even?

While yoga positively impacts general gene expression and reduces inflammation, there are currently no studies linking specific asanas directly to the SRSF1 gene. To study this, researchers would use transcriptomic profiling to track whether physical practices can modulate RNA splicing factors. Because SRSF1 is a recently discovered genetic target for cellular rejuvenation, connecting everyday lifestyle habits to its specific activation remains an uncharted scientific frontier.

Yes, scientific studies have shown that yoga and mind-body interventions alter the expression of specific genes. Research using genomic profiling demonstrates that regular practice downregulates pro-inflammatory genes, such as NF-kB and TNF, while upregulating longevity- and repair-related genes, including SIRT-1, KLOTHO, AMPK, and the DNA-repair gene OGG1.

Hi everyone,

I think this is a useful discussion and I agree with Michele that understanding agents might be useful. The challenge herr eis that we assume malicious data extractive intent from the human instructing the agent.

But I suspect at least this year as the technology/tools advance, a lot of this is a symptom of the inexact instructions/tasks that people give their agents and how the technology is designed. If you ask an agent to monitor and do repetitive tasks and learn to improve them, they could extrapolate that they need to learn from literature or people who are experts about particular topics that might nto even seem to be related to the tasks the agent was built for. I think that has a lot to do with the human's being interact with the way the tasks are given to agents and how technology is written.
We carry lots of history in internet research in communities being exploited by external researchers - but we would now know what the agent was doing asking to join the mailing list and how it would learn from the discussion and for what purpose.
People already send their otter.AI and notetakers into all kinds of online meetings (there are even tools people can buy now that transcribe meetings live to help the person better engage in conversation live, based on their own device so in many countries this is not illegal), connect LLMs to their emails that read all of their email, etc etc.

Not that all this means that a mailing list community like this one should not put its own limits on who has access to the information and discussions here, who can participate and for what purpose. it opens all kinds of questions about the community and its values, like some people have mentioned. 

I'm relatively new on the lsit and mostly read - this discussion has been the most interesting read of reflections I've read in the 2 years I've been on the list.
