Scottish_smallpipes_and_borderpipes pipe band ... great ... http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Scottish_smallpipes_and_borderpipes ... haven't seen this before :)
Why Remember?

Since I was a Scout in Cape Breton in the early 70's, I attended Remembrance Day Ceremonies and was always touched by the emotion of war veterans (including some WWI vets) who lived to grow old and remember the young who died.

Over time I have come to realize that November 11th is a time to remember all who have gone before in both music and words befitting the moment.

I have the pleasure of being a member of the Nova Scotia Single Malt Appreciation Association who has met informally for the last 7 years on Friday evenings in the founder's/host's garage. This past March we lost a good fiend and NSSMAA colleague, Roy E. Logan, to cancer.  We had the chance to say good bye to Roy but the loss was deeply felt nonetheless.

I set out below the dedication that accompanied the original YouTube post by Bev Nimmo, lead Small Pipes for Ukeltica and co-host (along with her Husband David Nimmo) of our wee gathering.  All Ukelticans are also members of the RCMP P&D NS.

On this Great War Centennial Remembrance Day, in addition to playing with the RCMP Pipes & Drums this morning at the Porter's Lake Cenotaph; and, this afternoon at the Gaetz's Brook Legion, it is my honour to republish Ulketlica's "MacPherson's Lament" as a Remembrance of; and, Tribute to Roy and all others who have gone before.

Playing on Small Pipes along with Bev and myself  are Ian Taylor, Thersea MacNeil, Michael Sears, CD, Denis Stairs, OC, PM Wayne Moug, on Tin Whistle is PS Bill Pritchard and on Guitar is PS Bob Smith. Maj. (Retired) David Nimmo, CD2 took the video (he usually plays Bass)  - "We shall remember them", Kevin

The inscription as originally published:

On March 30, 2014, our good friend and musical colleague, Roy E.
Logan passed away after a short struggle with cancer. His memorial
service was very touching and the love and respect that Roy was held in was very evident. Wayne Moug, Pipe Major with the RCMP Pipes & Drums Nova Scotia (a Band to which Roy was an Alumni) played MacPherson's Lament on the Scottish Small Pipes.

Later that evening (Friday, 04 April, 2014) our wee group Ukeltica (the house band of the Nova Scotia Single Malt Appreciation Association of which Roy was regular), recorded "MacPherson's Lament" as a final Farewell to Roy, who we will miss very much.

We are truly blessed to have spent such happy times playing and laughing together with Roy. With a nod to past, thanks for the moment; and, a prayer for the future, we look forward to our next session together with Roy, when and wherever that may be!

Slainte mor agus leis gach deagh dhurachd – Ukeltica

Just got back from a bushcraft moot up in Scotland, in the middle of the night by the light of the communal fire we were treated to some traditional Scottish Smallpipes bagpipes music played live from one of the local bushcrafters, these instruments have been played in Scotland since the 15th century

Interesting ... To http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Music ? And what's the code for these mashups ?
Continuing the theme of musical interludes for your day, here's a mashup of 57 distinct pieces by 33 different composers, from the Baroque to the modern day. And it works weirdly well.

And the 2nd Twitter post has CreateSpace's choices for ISBN book numbers. To add the new Academic Press at WUaS, I'll probably use the Universal ISBN option.
