Brainstorming-wise, I'm not suggesting in this blog post, from this thread -

And I'm also not suggesting that an endangered Amur leopard could wear such a watch and become as young as the leopard cub or kitten in the main pic behind title, - which would be wild indeed - but I am wondering whether, via such a device, we'd be able to DIY wiki-edit our own genomes in something like Wikitree single family tree database software ... https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/MacLeod-2524 ... Into what we wanted ... & even for all 7.8 billion people (re equality too!:) Would you want to be 30 yo again at 220 body age - and healthier than now?:)

Nice to be in touch recently! Just gave a Scottish small pipes' lesson ... It's good musical work ... I wanna bring more meditation into it (which Stuart and I have also talked about a bit a number of times) ... Eg Stuart Liddell's inner stillness and remarkable drones when he plays ... Entering into a kind of 'oneness with piping's playing space ... Much to teach and learn (drawing on Yoga too :) in these regards :)

Regarding the Desiderata further - 
Am thinking about 
READING or INTERPRETING it from a PSYCHOLOGY academic discipline perspective - (which was George's field in some ways) - and even from a psychiatric perspective ... What is psychiatry's goal?

I think the Desiderata addresses this to some degree ... Is it psychology academically then? Maybe not ... philosophy? ... Maybe not ... writing and thinking and almost poetry - perhaps ... 

I recall George talking about the idea of someone suffering saying philosophically and clinically 'she or he is suffering' ... And as a conscious problem solver ... George thought in interesting ways to help people not suffer. Did George suffer mentally ? Perhaps I'd hypothesize - since he went into psychiatry, for example. 

So the Desiderata may be psychology, and which poem I learned from George ... just some further thoughts :)

Bird of Paradise (Erythrostemon gilliesii): socked in * Piobaireachd (Ceol Mor) album ahead before year's end I think (classical Bagpiping music) on Scottish small pipes * Hoping World Univ & Sch can collaborate with Google soon and thus perhaps get a team of 140,000 people working on various aspects of 7,139 wiki schools and 200 major universities (MIT OCW-CENTRIC) ... 200 online medical schools with online teaching hospitals in countries' main languages early on too (and with 7.8 billion Avatar Bot Electronic Medical Records for everyone on planet's good health too) BUT Google 'rock and roll' enjoyable for free to students' online degrees .... STEAM ... (Actual-Virtual Harbin Hot Springs' centered as STEM field sites and classrooms too .. realistic virtual earth centric too ...

on the garden patio overlooking the SF Bay, GG Bridge, Marin, SF, ... winter jacket on, a tea and a coffee on a tray on the cast iron rusted pretty circular table ... Can't see much at all ... But it's kinda nice out here in the coolness ... Surfing the web, writing this note ...

The two deer, one with antlers, I photographed the other day sleeping or resting laying down on the little sloping down brown hillside just below the little lawn (with the Ganesh statues from India and others) are gone, and I can see a few roofs if housetops ... a little farther on the Bay shoreline is .5 -.75 miles away 

Have you explored jamboard.google.com ? ... A pretty cool app for all sharing post-its or drawing or painting together in one cool art project after another, or one group idea brainstorming project after another ... Let's try it out sometime ☺️

Hi Navin, Did you hear the tree splitting off crash that occurred around 4am this morning? Awake, I happened to hear it, and I was reminded of the Zen koan, something like - "Does a tree falling in the forest make a sound or not?" When I went out to check on it this morning, there, indeed, was the fallen limb above the house on the other side of street. As I was looking at it around 8am, two Indians, I think, walked by - and your car was gone - and they asked about the Buddha statue in your front yard, and even getting one. I suggested, if they're interested, that they come knock on your door. I hope those Indians who are interested in Buddha statue. Hope they ring door bell. I have lots of brass & stone statues as I was importing such artifacts from India & Indonesia.


Scott, though we are Jains and believe in Jainism, we are not hardcore practicers of religion.  Sorry, we haven't heard about Zen  Buddhism. It seems you are very widely read person. Great habit🙏

Methinks Jains may be meditators - n'est-ce pas? - and that Buddhists are meditators too (moi aussi) ... and that Zen Buddhist meditators sometimes use koans to focus the meditating mind, and to facilitate achieving enlightenment, sometimes called the satori experience. Do Jains have specific approaches to realizing 'enlightenment' (an idea) like e.g. “Two Hands clap and there is a sound, what is the sound of one hand?” (Here's the tree koan - http://www.whyfaith.com/2006/08/30/if-a-tree-falls-in-a-forest-riddle-answered/ 🙂  



Some sort of army commando, of a foreign nation state (India, one in Africa, one in the middle east, Chna, since the house owners may be Chinese, I think), on a very early morning test run, with no wind last night that I know of? A bear? I just looked out the door, and there's a clear sight line to it ... and I'm living in a 'SAFE HOUSE' here, from I think, perpetrators, offenders, purveyors, of the illegal sex industry, internationally, - and having whistle-blown a number of times about this, re Stanford even, and UC Berkeley Law, and Cal, and Canyon 94516 (and Cuttyhunk too). Could the US federal government even possibly check out this broken limb (aside from the Buddhist philosophical thinking above), if it is a good idea to do so (Pin and Tym)?
