The two deer, one with antlers, I photographed the other day sleeping or resting laying down on the little sloping down brown hillside just below the little lawn (with the Ganesh statues from India and others) are gone, and I can see a few roofs if housetops ... a little farther on the Bay shoreline is .5 -.75 miles away
Have you explored jamboard.google.com ? ... A pretty cool app for all sharing post-its or drawing or painting together in one cool art project after another, or one group idea brainstorming project after another ... Let's try it out sometime ☺️

How are you? How is your US Labor Day going? Thanks for being my landlord, Navin and Sarla! Interesting that the night you were sleeping at a friend's house (do you do this often? I've never noticed this before);, an enormous limb, or bunch of limbs broke off a tree above the house across the street, regarding our texting conversation here -

Hi Navin, Did you hear the tree splitting off crash that occurred around 4am this morning? Awake, I happened to hear it, and I was reminded of the Zen koan, something like - "Does a tree falling in the forest make a sound or not?" When I went out to check on it this morning, there, indeed, was the fallen limb above the house on the other side of street. As I was looking at it around 8am, two Indians, I think, walked by - and your car was gone - and they asked about the Buddha statue in your front yard, and even getting one. I suggested, if they're interested, that they come knock on your door. Just a heads' up 🙂 Best, Scott (Do you get into Zen Buddhist teachings ever, - and since you're a Jain, as well as with India roots?:)

I hope those Indians who are interested in Buddha statue. Hope they ring door bell. I have lots of brass & stone statues as I was importing such artifacts from India & Indonesia.
Scott, though we are Jains and believe in Jainism, we are not hardcore practicers of religion. Sorry, we haven't heard about Zen Buddhism. It seems you are very widely read person. Great habit🙏

Methinks Jains may be meditators - n'est-ce pas? - and that Buddhists are meditators too (moi aussi) ... and that Zen Buddhist meditators sometimes use koans to focus the meditating mind, and to facilitate achieving enlightenment, sometimes called the satori experience. Do Jains have specific approaches to realizing 'enlightenment' (an idea) like e.g. “Two Hands clap and there is a sound, what is the sound of one hand?” (Here's the tree koan - http://www.whyfaith.com/2006/08/30/if-a-tree-falls-in-a-forest-riddle-answered/ 🙂
Some sort of army commando, of a foreign nation state (India, one in Africa, one in the middle east, Chna, since the house owners may be Chinese, I think), on a very early morning test run, with no wind last night that I know of? A bear? I just looked out the door, and there's a clear sight line to it ... and I'm living in a 'SAFE HOUSE' here, from I think, perpetrators, offenders, purveyors, of the illegal sex industry, internationally, - and having whistle-blown a number of times about this, re Stanford even, and UC Berkeley Law, and Cal, and Canyon 94516 (and Cuttyhunk too). Could the US federal government even possibly check out this broken limb (aside from the Buddhist philosophical thinking above), if it is a good idea to do so (Pin and Tym)?
