Malagasy fish: Have long been curious about the 1960s and counterculture in Britain and Switzerland ... and in reading Don Lattin's "Harvard Psychedelic Club" I just came across Brian Barritt

Have long been curious about the 1960s and counterculture in Britain and Switzerland ... and in reading Don Lattin's "Harvard Psychedelic Club" I just came across Brian Barritt, an Englishman who went to Switzerland in around 1971 to help Tim Leary in exile write a book (and just after Leary was released from prison there in French speaking Lausanne) ... http://www.independent.co.uk/news/obituaries/brian-barritt-counterculture-writer-who-collaborated-with-timothy-leary-2215925.html ... (Lattin 2010 : 177) ... (My family and I lived in French-speaking Switzerland for 6 months from Oct 1 72 - Mar 31 73 but I have no recollection at age 12 of Leary in the news).

Here are some past blog entries about counterculture in the British Isles and Switzerland, as well as some related WUaS wiki subjects ...

Switzerland label in this blog, with 3 entries, especially, from 2009  about this

Counterculture label in this blog ...

1960s label in this blog ...

can't seem to find my blogpost about the "Bean field wars" in the U.K. from a few years ago and which took place a few decades ago, and which Scottish friends confirmed (what does this mean? ... keep looking? Might it have to do with how history is re-written and yay for print libraries (and bookstores)? There was a least one Youtube video in this blog entry of mine with people racing around a bean field, and which were scenes from the actual "Beanfield war", I think) ...
