Very nice to talk with you yesterday evening.

Looks like the rain to clean the air will begin between 8 and 10 this morning, according to -

I've been mostly staying indoors to avoid breathing the smoke in the air for about 10 days now.

Hoping to connect as friends with L. Social norms are very different in the country she comes from than here ... and can seem to head toward the harmoniousness (Goethean?) as part of the societal contract, and in the work world too - very differently from the US. and both places experienced the freedom seeking movements of the 1960s, with their alternative and protest cultures, profoundly questioning and thinking about societal norms, interestingly.

Happy Thanksgiving. And have a great trip to Portland...

Thank you for your excellent and brilliant Stanford talk "Dream Yoga: Lucid dreaming from the Bön Buddhist tradition of Tibet" - https://events.stanford.edu/events/784/78487/ - yesterday.

My questions have to do further with the Yoga side - vis-a-vis the significant Buddhist understanding of mind which you shared - and the bodymind brain science side (where and how do dreams work in the brain and with languages, and how can we study this scientifically ... and could hypothetical brain science / meditation studies even include you?)

My actual-virtual ethnographic field site is Harbin Hot Springs, and this includes a study of meditation, and there are fascinating parallels with Esalen, at Harbin, and am seeking to create a realistic virtual Harbin / realistic virtual earth for actual-virtual comparison, and STEM research, and as classrooms as well.

Evening

Hi M,

Have a great Thanksgiving at S's.

Having a familiy, that is having my own kids with a friend, girlfriend, partner, wife, mom-to-be is a goal here. Having babes are a focus ... with whom is a question? ...

Played my Scottish small bagpipes
amid little drops of water
falling from trees
after a day of fairly heavy rain
before the Scottish Country Dance
in a park
in front of a really nice hall
in Mountain View / Los Altos
for about 30 minutes
as dancers arrived.

Nice to be playing, and in a nice fairly warm for a November evening park setting outdoors.

The smoke is much less, and wildfires in the rain may be much diminished.

Please give my love to S. Happy travels. And stay warm.
