Hi David,

Great to talk. What are the anti-aging resource links you'd suggest checking out?

Here's George Church -
60 Minutes: "How soon could humans reverse the aging process with genetic engineering?" (1 minute)

https://youtu.be/bnCEIPQFNnk

And
"George Church - Cognition Genes. Aging Reversal. Lab-built Brain Components"

Is this the Calico idea -
Google’s Calico Labs announces discovery of a “non-aging mammal.”

Fond regards, Scott

Thanks for putting George Church on my radar. I'll take a look sometime when I get another lull in the activity. David Sinclair is definitely showier, but I like that he writes for a general audience about the ethical questions around extending life. If you have come across a more serious thinker/philosopher/ethicist who has something thoughtful to say about it, please let me know. Yes, that's the Calico I was talking about.
Great to catch up

David,

Am curious about the photo of this elderly couple -

"Trio of gene therapies seeks to reverse age-related diseases to make us ‘healthy, youthful later in life’ "

https://geneticliteracyproject.org/2019/11/22/trio-of-gene-therapies-seeks-to-reverse-age-related-diseases-to-make-us-healthy-youthful-later-in-life/

... and wonder if they've self-experimenting with genetic aging reversal, with George Church's help, since he's mentioned in arcile:

Had searched on "ethics of age reversal gene theory Stanford encyclopedia of philosophy"

Cheers, Scott

Hi David,

Hi David,

I still haven't found a single philosopher ethicist thinker who knows the science especially ... but am appreciating possible kinds of hippy or even Taoist 'cultures' as potentially informing someone like George Church if he were also the hypothetical (but not him) philosopher ethicist thinker writing about aging reversal ethically. Worth looking in the bibliography of some of these Stanford articles for someone who may have already been writing about these questions for many years?

Cheers,
Scott
