"Important homeowners Insurance information"

Dear Friends‚

Yesterday‚ I interviewed State Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara about the homeowners insurance crisis facing our area and the state. He answered questions from me and community members about the steps he is taking to correct the situation and offered advice to those who have lost or may lose coverage in the next few weeks. You can listen to the entire conversation on my podcast Table Talk with Senator Steve Glazer here.

The California Department of Insurance has a number of resources to help if you are experiencing problems with your own coverage. The consumer help number is: 1-800-927-4357.

You can also contact my office for further assistance at senator.glazer@senate.ca.gov

Best regards‚

John, Ed, all, in continuing to call for abolition at MIT OCW -centric wiki World Univ & Sch WUaS Corp

am missing my father GKM MD, and continuing to be deeply concerned about
1
what happened to him on 12/30/04 in Belize with his first subdural hematoma and potentially international Organized crime,
2
and with the murderous run through attempt  of me in my first asylum house here in around April 2023 in Pgh 210 East End avenue Pgh PA 15221 by craven psychopath ??? Swiss or Lebanese soldier ??? murderer and international organized crime too  ...
3
and with my brother Sandy who just had a baby seeming  to seek to steal the MacLeod Cuttyhunk house last year and re possible involvement in international organized crime tragically too (and did he play a role in having my father whacked and especially Oedipally or double Oedipal) ...

and in seeking for WUaS to code for all 7 9 billion on the planet each a Wikidata PIN # FROM

and in seeking to CODE IN abolishing AND with a partnering email from Stanford Mine Pi Cryptocurrency (Swaroop Poudel, a Reedie too), and just read newly MacArthur Foundations' commitment to racial equity and its other values -

Hi Ma, All,

Greetings. Now that my remarkably reliable Toyota's tire pressure puncture light has been turned off, after ~5 long days (and could turning this light on have been US federal government law enacted on around F 5/31/24??? - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2024/06/granite-chief-wilderness-ca.html ... and even re short notice exploration of planning to meet ... .......... in MD or WV for a hike on Sat 6/124) and I can drive the car again, what might we do on Sunday? And when might I drive you to the airport to visit Sandy in Portland, and your new grandchild, (and in seeking US federal protection for you, myself and Sandy, as WUaS grows a worldwide abolition movement, and see PS)? With my car tire light off, my MacBook Air laptop newly took 5-6 attempts to get past an initial frozen mouse before logging in ... with it occasionally taking 2-3 'frozen mouse' waits ... and waiting works well ... and re possibly Technology companies' further hacking - Apple? Toyota? Google? (Peter (Norvig), thoughts?)

And when might we head up to Cuttyhunk potentially together (and I haven't renewed my Cuttyhunk Yacht Club membership this year - due in part to learning that my Chase credit card account of more than 2 decades was closed on W 2/28/24 due to potentially egregious misconduct by Chase bank Wilkinsburg by jenifer weber? and george nicolai? in cahoots with a local grocery store ... and in growing MIT OCW-centric wiki World Uiv & Sch abolition movement on Cuttyhunk too ... and out of dire concerns about international organized crime on Cuttyhunk sadly too).

And thank you again MA for giving me Sal Khan's "One World Schoolhouse" (Inkwell Publishing) book some years ago - and having just learned in this Khan and Duckworth incredible talk - https://youtu.be/9hBezV3lX-U - that Inkwell is the publisher of Angela Duckworth's book Grit as well (and see PPPPS). How to explore getting a first book deal  - for my upcoming "Society, Information Technology and the Global University" book potentially from Inkwell, and see: https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2024/06/larch-larix.html - I wonder?

Congratulations, Sandy, on your new daughter!

Fondly, in asylum, abolitionally, see you soon,
Scott

Grit

The Power of Passion and Perseverance

by Angela Duckworth

In this must-read book for anyone striving to succeed, pioneering psychologist Angela Duckworth shows parents, educators, athletes, students, and business people—both seasoned and new—that the secret to outstanding achievement is not talent but a focused persistence called “grit.”

Why do some people succeed and others fail? Sharing new insights from her landmark research on grit, MacArthur “genius” Angela Duckworth explains why talent is hardly a guarantor of success. Rather, other factors can be even more crucial such as identifying our passions and following through on our commitments.

Drawing on her own powerful story as the daughter of a scientist who frequently bemoaned her lack of smarts, Duckworth describes her winding path through teaching, business consulting, and neuroscience, which led to the hypothesis that what really drives success is not “genius” but a special blend of passion and long-term perseverance. As a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, Duckworth created her own “character lab” and set out to test her theory.

Here, she takes readers into the field to visit teachers working in some of the toughest schools, cadets struggling through their first days at West Point, and young finalists in the National Spelling Bee. She also mines fascinating insights from history and shows what can be gleaned from modern experiments in peak performance. Finally, she shares what she’s learned from interviewing dozens of high achievers—from JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon to the cartoon editor of The New Yorker to Seattle Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll.

Winningly personal, insightful, and even life-changing, Grit is a book about what goes through your head when you fall down, and how that—not talent or luck—makes all the difference.

Dear Peter (Norvig Google AI), Ed (Smyth MD), John (Sargent MD), Ma / Janie (MacLeod), Pin (Mazumdar HHS),  attorneys' Shawn Flaherty and Nick Thompson, Lt. John Tadler, US Senator Elizabeth Warren, All,

Greetings, Peter, Ed, Pin, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Shawn, all !

Question :
Just here behind Shady Side Academy high school in Pgh PA on Hemlock Hollow road,

(after getting a not great haircut at Supercuts and which Fox Chapel hair cutting place made me wonder if they're involved in the illegal sex industry newly ... since where was the good hair cutter who said she had studied Opera in college, AND had done even a 'stint' in Nevada the last time I was there (possibly implying she wanted to be a prostitute I think) ... and what surveillance cameras they use in their mirrors even ... and as I mentioned free WUaS accrediting in PA, and aging reversal genetic drug therapies to my new hair cutter too)

... and had just hiked up a trail  in this pretty forested valley seeking to surf the Web and communicate by typing on my MacBook Air laptop with Google Pixel 6a smartphone wifi hotspot  for example in replying to Airtable SF Databases which seems to be ending World Univ & Sch's free Airtable SF Databases with updated terms of service in July ... - and see 4 updated terms below - and I couldn't access my computer  ...  and the 5G symbol and battery symbols weren't on on smartphone ... AND later back in the car neither was the Hotspot icon ... but then I turned on the Hotspot on Google Pixel 6a smartphone and the 5G symbol and battery symbols came on, and I could connect my MacBook Air to laptop but still the UC icon isn't on on the smartphone at the top ...  What does the UC symbol refer to in terms of RANGE (and range of T-Mobile wifi main carrier?) for example ... as I seek to move WUaS Academic Medical Center forward into a newly safe Canyon 94516 in 2024 ... and potentially collaborate with the University of California in the BAY Area and Kaiser Permanente NorCal and regarding Ed being named WUaS Chief Medical Officer (having just called him and left another message and regarding further communicating about moving into a newly safe Canyon 94516 ... and with US federal and states' laws working effectively together and in new ways, - and with a possible US federal investigation developing into chase bank Wilkinsburg Pgh PA 15221 and Chase bank Moraga 94556 in these regards) ?

Taking this opportunity to address the new SF Airtable possibly WUaS bookstore + Databases'  terms of service and re the above too and in learning further -

(and re the INCREDIBLE

What do these all entail - from the perspective of people who are really experienced with proprietary data questions () - and how to begin to negotiate possibly - AND to develop our own physical-digital flagship WUaS bookstore on Walnut Street in the PGH PA coding team with time - with the awesome Harvard bookstore as a front end example ?  And what might be a possible alternative or two regarding other data and AI sources ... e.g. even in a variety of ways within Google / Alphabet or even within the US Federal Government's AI and database systems' please?

and appreciating the mosquita-free my newly working 2016 Toyota Prius c tiny vehicle here, but would greatly appreciate a larger Toyota Sienna Van as a mobile office even ... and that could tow 3500 lbs (a 2025?) for example ...

More later, abolitionally, Desiderata, best regards, thanks,
