The dashboard itself is fine, but the script that feeds data into Graphite (analytics/limn-wikidata-data repo, personal crontab on stat1007) stopped running when that host was decommissioned and was never migrated. The raw data in wmf.webrequest is still there, so this needs someone with stat1011 access to set up a new pipeline (e.g. via analytics/wmde/scripts + statsd-exporter, T392599).

Something strange is going on in Grafana. There are two reasonable-looking Graphite queries in the Panel JSON:
And the underlying data still seems to exist: https://graphite.wikimedia.org/render/?target=daily.wikidata.entitydata.format.json&from=now-7d&to=now
Yet when I go to edit the panel, the data sources look like some weird blank default state:
I assume this is somehow related to the Graphite deprecation (T228380), but I haven’t seen problems like this in other dashboards before, and I doubt this is the only place where we still use Graphite.
If I manually switch the data source to Graphite, create two queries and paste the expressions from the Panel JSON into them, it seems to work alright:
But I’m hesitant to save this because I don’t know how much other configuration of the original panel would be lost with that – so I’m hoping someone else knows what’s going on in Grafana here.
Hm, is this a widespread issue? Most of the panels at https://grafana-rw.wikimedia.org/d/000000290/wikidata-query-service-ui seem to be similarly broken.

Data disappearing was a side effect of T269333 which I reverted, and the dashboards are back. We'll need to extend the audit/change to catch these dashboards too
Temporarily fixed by this revert; now IIUC we need to update some dashboards so they’ll update their data source and not be affected by the default. For instance, if I go to wikidata-edits and press the save button without doing anything, I get a diff that starts like this:
I’ve just saved new versions of wikidata-edits (schema version 34→38), wikidata-query-service-ui (34→38) and wikidata-special-entitydata (16→38 – no, that’s not a typo! it was ancient). So hopefully those should now stay working if the default is changed again.
It’s possible (probably likely, tbh) that there were some more dashboards that need updating; I’m hoping that the experts in T269333 will know how to find them, now that we know that the data source may have been not just null but also (per the above screenshot) "-- Grafana --" or "graphite".
This is still broken.
@Ifrahkhanyaree_WMDE do you have a replacement for it? If yes can we please link to it from the board?
