I am a big believer in silent counting to step away from anger and irritation, and love using mantras like “I love myself” when I’m feelin’ perky. But the other day I was sick of trying to wrangle my thoughts. I was tired of forcing myself to think one way or another. So I gave up!

Instead of silent counting or repeating mantras, I reminded to myself all day yesterday: “Be the observer.” At first, I could barely discern what I was thinking because the thoughts were happening so fast. It felt like trying to hold onto a raindrop in a hurricane. But I persisted because I didn’t want to be the fucking thought police.

“Be the observer,” I kept reminding myself. And instead of getting all pissed off with each negative thought that popped up, I started feeling compassion for myself. They were just thoughts! I didn’t have to take them so seriously! I could just

LET

THEM

GO

And it brought me this childlike playfulness I hadn’t felt in a long time. The spaces between the thoughts got longer, and I felt like I could breathe again—like I had found an energy source inside me I forgot about. Of course I’ve been feeling drained lately! I’ve been in a mental hurricane! But when I choose to be the observer, I become the peaceful eye of the storm.

I listened to this incredible Abraham-Hicks clip yesterday that reminded me: when you quiet your mind and stop thought, you allow the underlying vibration of source energy to shine through. When you stop the vibration of your own thoughts, the natural vibration of god within you becomes clear. When you access that state, your thoughts start forming from that natural, blissful vibration. And then solutions come. The answers become clear.

You were born to feel good. It is your birthright to feel good. And if you can quiet your mind, you can access this natural state any time you want.

I kinda wanna be doing a little more yoga in my life - and would be interested in exploring facilitating wiki-aggregating a myriad of videos of Angela and Victor's courses (http://www.angela-victor.com/content/what-you-can-expect) at WUaS in a beautiful new unfolding WUaS Yoga wiki (perhaps informed by their art) - so I could explore this inner body yoga from home. What I like about their live classes is the interactivity - e.g. Angela and Victor's inward journeying guidance - and their insights and ideas, vision and language {and the health benefits of the yoga-asana informed movement} shared with a specific group of people in a course, and it would be cool to explore how such live-feeling interactive guidance could emerge interactively, and in ongoing new ways, with realistic Angela and Victor avatars in a realistic virtual earth ... would love to be in Greece again in their Eftalou yoga hall with you and everyone - from Canyon. :)

What are the best internet resources for daily yoga-playing that you've found, and also yoga-engage daily? (For example, I relaxation-response-meditate daily, - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Yoga#World_University_and_School_Links- first thing in the morning, doing yoga mudrasana, seated forward bend in half lotus, afterwards doing other yoga poses, but only occasionally with the internet). There's a lot of creative possibility in daily yoga-play for exploration.
