Best small camper vans

Ma, Sandy, Ed, Tym, Pin, Jim, Marc, friends All,

How are you? greetings from Omaha, Nebraska on a cross-country road trip - but not yet in a camping van. Thanks too for your notes in this thread 🙂.

Further camping (hippy even) van brainstorming -

SHOWER IN VAN
How to squeeze this shower sink toilet combo in the back of a Sprinter Mercedes Van, or even a Toyota Proace (a sit-down shower-toilet for Proace even?) - as upcoming self driving vehicles - and perhaps under a pop up back hatch, INNOVATION-wise, somehow -

Entrance facing midline of van, for access from inside, and from behind through the van's rear doors? Pivot out to float behind van somehow on hinge - to create more space for bed etc ?

Liking these surf shower ideas, by way of comparison, & re pop up back hatch ...

HENDRIX
Hendrix,
Again and now here - are you experienced -

"This just popped up in Twitter -
Nice resume, Mr. Hendrix
But are you experienced? :)"

UBI to end poverty for 7.8 billion people?

And Universal Basic Income UBI experiments to end poverty for all 7.8 billion people - and to distribute a single cryptocurrency like Stanford Mine Pi ...

Here's a fairly recent article I found searching on 'UNDP united nations mobile phones for cash' (from a conversation in this thread with Jim)

'Digital finance, a lifeline during COVID-19 crisis, can deliver long-term financing of the Sustainable Development Goals'

More about SEC commissioner Hester Peirce (with a Yale JD) and some related ideas here - http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2021/06/pink-necked-green-pigeon.html . She could play a role in US acceptance of Stanford Mine Pi and its blockchain too.

Will there be one BLOCKCHAIN ledger for ALL digital currencies - in outer space too - and organized by an international institution with parallels to ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) ? (I teach a little about ICANN here http://worlduniversityandschool.org/InfoTechNetworkSocGlobalUniv.html )

LONGEVITY
Evidence for lengthening life spans across species -

Cheers, Scott

Travel

Found a motel from the road, Motel 6, coming into Omaha Nebraska for $74.99 on illuminated sign, $82.86 after taxes etc ... And it is smoke free ! And cold too ..  may use sleeping bags, but first first shower and shave. Has internet wifi too. Functional, clean, quiet, but not in the most beautiful area but it will be good to sleep well :)

See you soon :)

Love, Scott

to me

So glad you are taking a break.  Hope you sleep well tonight - must be nice to have a shower and shave.

Safe travels.  (Today I ordered you a folding bed for your visit here.)

Love, Ma

Thanks so much, Ma!

Just played my Scottish small pipes a bit - with PM Donald MacLeod on video ... Felt good to play ... In preparation for lesson too ...

Hoping I didn't in calling beforehand about hotels to the curious independent reseller give away my price point, asking for an 80 room, and then Motel 6 posting basically this amount ...

It so nice to lie flat right now, and soon to sleep well I think ... And to get a shower - need to get some shaving cream, and jam, in the morning. 14 hours' driving time to Pgh which is doable, allowing time to explore along the way tomorrow 😊.

See you soon, on Thursday, Ma!

Love, Scott

Ma,

Am I bringing World Univ & Sch to the east coast of the US? Glad to be traveling through the time change zone, and the cultural change zones too, on terra firma, and gradually - on a kind of freedom trail, and even possibly regarding abolition, since I'm leaving a 'safe house' on the underground railroad in a sense too. Traveling kind of prioritizes things too, and appreciating the physical movement in it ... glad to have meditated this morning as well; this room I'm staying in has some space in it.

The motel room is working out ... and getting in the mode of travel ... went out to get phone charger, and possibly shaving cream, but forgot key, so, no shaving cream run, instead back to the front desk to get a key, and then back to room, charging phone, took shower, and decided to add extra soap after shower and softened stubble of 3 days, and shave then ... worked well ... am learning possibly regarding price too .. the internet works, and seems unlimited, and the room in general is smoke and other odor free ...

But it would be interesting to set up collaboratively a bunch of international youth hostels in the US, with a $25 price point even. Chicago has one - https://www.hihostels.com/hostels/hi-chicago - https://www.hiusa.org/find-hostels#chicago

and here's a Hostelling International - independently operated affiliate

HI Kanab Cowboy Bunkhouse
Independently Operated Affiliate
220 West 300 North
Kanab, UT 84741

- but there weren't many Youth Hostels that I found along I-80 ... and even for traveling WUaS matriculating students??? (I wonder if abolition of the illegal sex industry, re law, is an issue at international youth hostels, as an organization)

May try to get WUaS Minutes out before I go, catch up on blogging, play Scottish Small Pipes, and even make notes from Stuart Liddell's 2nd lesson video recording, then explore taking a hike around Omaha with App, see downtown Omaha, and then maybe head for South Bend Indiana area this evening (but not where, Terre Haute, Indiana, the writer of the Desiderata was from) ...

What are you up to today and tomorrow? And how are you? You sounded good on the phone the other evening. Am so appreciative that you're my mother, Ma! ... Will I meet a life partner on this trip back east - of some Scots' heritage even - and will I return to the SF Bay Area ... lots of options are opening because of this trip :)

Love, Scott

Here's a new picture for me of Max Ehrmann, author of the Desiderata - with a bow and arrow -

Ma, no longer $39.99 at Motel 6, advertised from highway, but it is under $100 ... a nice price threshold ... and if WUaS could facilitate further an enormous number of independently operated affiliated Youth Hostels across US and world for under the threshold of $50 these days, that could be cool too ... and to facilitate community too - and regarding 'abolition even? :) Love, Scott

... new meaning of 'community' in the information teachnology revolution, information age - when youth hostels might, with people coming and going, become kind of 'local community' :)
