Great to run into you in the Shady Side Academy van outside Barnes and Noble in rhe Waterworks Mall on Friday evening (which I mention below).  And great to talk briefly too then about MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch accreditation with Middle States Commission on Higher Education, where SSA may be long accredited by a related agency (and licensing by the State of PA's department of education, from which World Univ has received authorization last Jan 2023). While WUaS newly has a WUaS business plan, a MSCHE requirement, WUaS still doesn't have the $11,500 dollars for related fees. MSCHE'S Connie Clifton is WUaS's contact. 

I'd love to ask you many further questions, including regarding WUaS students potentially from SSA for the autumn for free online WUaS degrees. Might some of the Chinese SSA students be interested in free WUaS 4 year Bachelor degrees (from home) in English, later in Chinese - and potentially even emerging in conversation with SSA, MIT OCW, and Google-WUaS ? 

Would it be possible please to meet for lunch or similar to ask you accreditation/licensure questions I have, rather than me showing up at the Croft dormitory's door asking for you, as you seemed to invite me to do? 

Bart, would or might you be available to join this conversation too? 

Beginning WUaS accreditation further, while I'm still in PA and before I head west, potentially to a 2024-2025 Stanford Law CodeX Fellowship position would be super!

In a related vein, I headed to the Barnes and Noble's cafe in the Waterworks Mall, not far from Shady Side in Fox Chapel, yesterday evening, to see a Stanford talk by Larry Diamond (with faster than on smartphone wifi hotspot broadband internet), and as I was leaving, I saw a Shady Side Academy van parked out front. I recognized Trixie in the driver's seat as a head of Shady Side, and involved in SSA's accreditation too - which we had spoken about 2 Homecomings ago ... small world ... She was bringing mostly Chinese, it seems, and Chinese American SSA boarding students to get food at the Giant Eagle next to B&N - a munchies' run :)

AND this occurred after I talked with Pin in Baltimore MD on the phone just before this, near a hiking trail just behind Shady Side (off of Riding Meadow Road I think)

A coffee chat would be great with all or some of you - in about 2 1/4 hours potentially ... (We could explore this for future Saturdays too ... inviting other Shady Side alumni potentially? Am thinking for example of inviting friend John Tadler, whose humor, as well as his father's English class at SSA in the second half of the 1970s I enjoyed much).

Happy Lunar New Year! 

Just shared this with you, and my mother - 

After meeting Trixie (Sabundayo - who joined Shady Side Academy as head of the Senior School in 2020 - https://www.shadysideacademy.org/schools/senior-school/senior-school-head) outside the Waterworks' Barnes and Noble on Friday evening driving a SSA van with a funny hat on (and I had one on too:) for one of two food runs for SSA students from the Croft dormitory, I think, this one of Chinese students, and who said something like come find her on campus, to ask questions about World Univ accreditation in particular ... it might be a great idea to try to find her with you (Ma, Janie MacLeod) at SSA this afternoon, on the way back from our walk, in the Croft dormitory (hunting Trixie down like this, or finding someone, may be the only way to get something done at Shady Side, I'm hypothesizing - and have a vague recollection of this at SSA from the second half of the 1970s) ... AND WUaS needs STUDENTS, particularly, for the MSCHE accreditation process, and SSA recent and upcoming graduates, and alumni from its wide networks too could be great ... Could World Univ & Sch in its next phase, with accreditation and PA licensure, begin to emerge out of Shady Side Academy senior school itself? Brainstorming, could the one Chinese student, actually from China or similar, with whom I spoke in the van a little, be becoming an assistant Chinese language teacher at SSA upon graduation this spring from SSA, then living on campus at SSA, - and could she matriculate concurrently at World Univ concurrently for a free Bachelor degree too (with the 'learning culture' of SSA informing this?) ... and help facilitate the WUaS accreditation process as a student, and help Trixie and all of us grow the first year of courses and culture at WUaS from - https://ocw.mit.edu/ - and Google-WUaS like "CS First With Google at World Univs" - https://csfirst.withgoogle.com/s/en/home ... an extraordinarily interesting creative project (to create the Harvard/ MIT /Stanford /Oxbridge of the internet in all ~200 countries and in their main languages) ... and could Trixie lead or head the WUaS accreditation process in all of this too ? She's a professional educator :)
