Stanford Law [codex_group_meetings] TODAY! CodeX Mtg (5/21 @1.30p PT): The Human Impact Project; O-1A immigration tool (via Zoom) - Thanks, Slava - and great! How to build out the Ukraine Law School (from here https://wiki.
Slava, Roland, Stanford Law School and all,
from our text conversation and regarding Ukraine Law School at free World University and School -
Thanks, Slava - and great! How to build out the Ukraine Law School (from here https://wiki.
Slava, great … World University and School is still in a startup phase since 2007 or 2010 (with 2 wings) … What’s your email and I’ll add you to the open WUaS Weekly Business Meeting emailings on Mondays at 10 a PT in Zoom … best to stay in touch through CodeX and since WUaS seeks to build out potentially with Stanford Law, and since CC-4 licensed MIT OCW in 7 languages, which WUaS is building upon, doesn’t have law courses, since MIT itself doesn’t have a law school (or a med school, also planning an online Ukraine Medical School at World Univ & School ). What’s a good email for you? Best, Scott
v.rudenko.us@gmail.com
Thanks! My email is sgkmacleod@
Thanks again, Scot, for those leads. I would love to stay in touch, and feel free to involve me in any way I can help with using AI to help vulnerable people
Slava, WUaS is also seeking to hire many Ukrainian lawyers + as faculty and coders, and free-to-students’ WUaS is in a #GrowWithGoogleWUaS program ,and a member of Stanford Law CodeX … and which will inform WUaS as we grow in all 200 countries in a realistic virtual earth, and see Peter Norvig’s INCREDIBLE #ToolifyAIWUaS article “Revolutionizing Education with Machine Learning and AI: World University IN School 3/2/24 - https://www.toolify.ai/ai-
Looking forward to staying in communication,
Best regards,
Scott

Thank you for hosting today. The room’s questions went straight to the points: Eval loops, Data handling, and Hallucination.
I am still thinking through the best next steps for the project, especially around independent review, pilot users beyond my own case, and how USCIS-adjacent practitioners are reading PA-2025-02 and PA-2025-16 in practice.
I would love to stay connected with you and the CodeX community as the methodology becomes public. The open-source repo should be live this week, and I will gladly send the link once it is ready.

Our next CodeX group meeting
Our guests will be:
- Viachelslav Rudenko. Viacheslav - a participant in our recent LLM x Law hackathon - has been building a tool that helps people assemble high-quality affordable O-1A petition case packages. To that end, he encoded USCIS's publicly-documented framework, Kazarian two-step, eight criteria, AAO precedent, and adjudicator workflow into an AI-assisted case preparation system on Claude, then used it to prepare his own real petition. Viacheslav will demo his system.
- Julia Neusner, Director of the Human Security Initiative. Julia will present the The Human Impact Project, a living database tracking U.S. immigration enforcement incidents sourced from news, social media, and court records. It uses AI pipelines to extract, deduplicate, geolocate, and archive incidents, making the scope and impact of enforcement searchable and visible at scale.
See you then!
Best,
Roland

Sundar Pichai Unveils "Ask YouTube" And Revolutionary Voice-Powered "Docs Live" At Google I/O
Yes, you will be able to do this. Sundar Pichai announced that Docs Live can pull information from Gmail, Google Drive, and the web with your permission to help you brainstorm and structure documents.
Here is how you can use it to write your book:
Harvesting your Gmail: Docs Live will natively search your inbox to pull out specific emails, text, and data to use as book content.
Harvesting your Blog and Tweets: Since Docs Live can access the live web, you can verbally instruct it to pull content from your public blog URLs and Twitter/X profile.
Once it gathers all of this data, you can use your voice to co-write, outline, and format the chapters directly in Google Docs.

- Longevity Escape Velocity (LEV): Rather than just treating individual age-related diseases (like Alzheimer's or cancer) after they appear, Church anticipates that genetic and cellular therapies will repair multiple drivers of aging simultaneously. If humans reach this milestone by 2050, every passing year will introduce enough biomedical restoration to add more than a year to a person's lifespan.
- Gene Therapy & Epigenetic Reprogramming: Central to his philosophy is using synthetic biology to edit genomes and reverse the epigenetic age of cells. This approach aims to restore older cells to a youthful, functional state without reverting them to embryonic states.
- Clinical Trials: Advancements like gene therapies, thymus regeneration, and senolytics—drugs that destroy toxic "zombie" cells—are currently making their way into or preparing for clinical human trials. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
- Rejuvenate Bio: A spinout company co-founded by Church, focusing on developing gene therapies that target and reverse age-related diseases in animals before progressing to humans.
- Harvard/Wyss Institute: At his Harvard laboratory, his team continues to pioneer CRISPR applications and multiplexed gene editing specifically aimed at halting the aging process at the genetic level. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- The AGI & AI Factor: Many industry observers, including futurists like Ray Kurzweil and organizations monitoring artificial intelligence, point out that breakthroughs in computing and AGI may accelerate biological simulations. This could potentially move the timeline for radical age reversal up to the 2030s.
- Skepticism & Regulatory Hurdles: Some researchers and Bioethicists caution that scaling exponential lab results into proven human treatments takes decades. The rigorous nature of clinical testing and FDA approvals mean that widespread access to complex, multi-factor anti-aging therapies requires overcoming massive biological, economic, and logistical barriers
