One of the titles I think resonated with Reedies+ is the great novel "Klara and The Sun" 2021 by Kazuo Ishiguro (Nobel laureate) and about humanoid robotics and 'genetic engineering ("lifted") for enhanced academic ability' - as an example, and both themes of which World University and School seeks to research and develop further (aging reversal and extreme longevity genetic drug therapies, re the latter, and with what Harvard & MIT professor George Church is heralding); perhaps we can explore reading this for Sat 5/16/26. What book titles might you suggest, Stephanie? (I'm appreciative of inspiring and great or even incredible books in some of these regards:).


World University and School is growing, and glad 2 of the books I've written have made it into a Pegasus bookstore in Berkeley, in some of these regards, and see the PPS

A Month in the Country is about a mural restorer who comes back from WWI to work restoring a wall fresco in the country in 1920.

which her book group in western Pennsylvania is reading for this Saturday evening. She characterized it very appreciatively, and said that everybody in her book will have read it too.

This deal is the culmination of over 6 years of effort building a technology to generate the data at a scale needed for AI model training, but to have that data be what has been the ultimate bottleneck for drug development and discovery: in vivo. 

We all know that AI requires massive data to enable the immense leaps in progress we have seen. The challenge with biology is most of the data is in vitro, or cells in a dish. A lot of groups are making excellent progress here, applying AI to very large datasets in vitro, and I hope that these results lead to better drugs. 

But the challenge is the humans are not cells in a dish. We've cured many diseases in petri dishes, only for those drugs to have unexpected results when put into the patients. Living systems are so complex that they are hard to reduce, despite how hard we try. 

This is what makes the Manifold approach so different, instead of simplifying the system down to a petri dish to generate the data we need for AI, we test millions of molecules in living systems so we can generate the relevant data we need for drug discovery.

We believe that this is the true unlock for AI in drug discovery. We are generating massive datasets of millions of potential drugs to hundreds of targets and asking the question of where do these molecules go, directly in animals. This allows us to build AI models of drug delivery, and eventually drug function. 

Delivery to the brain and this collaboration with Roche is just the start. We are rapidly scaling this approach to other tissues, and ultimately using it to understand drug affect on all organs in the body.

The dance or the pools?

First the dance then the pools. Long haired folks with flowing clothes - wild and free. What a shift -

from the city.

Listen first,
hear the rhythm, dance a little, cool, - then away. Up to the pools, past the Temple with its white and colored lights.

(A woman at the dance
is topless.
She starts to make out with her friend on the pillows). How glorious.

And Harbin's evening illumination is all around. So soft, - and
so nice to be back ... Rainbow Gathering? ... The moon is out,
the garden grasses

I walk up and there inside Stonefront lodge, I see her feet,

for she is lying
on her back
on a sofa, reading.

Past the Gazebo,

I go into a bathroom, shut the door,

so beautiful illuminated by candles in many ways,
and steam,
in the night,
rises.

And there a woman
sits on
the dolphin railing stairs, receiving the heat
from this earth's energy.

Out of the pool,
I head to shower, skipping the
cold plunge,

I hypothesize that Byron and I, and teams as well, are going to seek to create a #REalisticVirtualEarthForAgingReversal even an #AgingReversalMachine ... and which would generate a single pharmaceutical, possibly a vaccine, at first and to go through clinical trials even ... and from something liek -

Greetings from Berkeley, and in seeking further information about where my great aunt Mary Chadbourne Brown lived in Berkeley, other than at 2918 Hillegass Avenue in Berkeley, where she was living when she passed away in 1982, and see - https://share.gemini.google/bGkrOGEyy1YI. I'm sitting in front of 752 Cragmont, Berkeley CA - https://photos.app.goo.gl/8e5HJ94fVgnVSA3u5 - and have a vague recollection that she might have lived here. I think I would have learned this from Granny Brown, possibly at even the Briscoe-Brown family reunion in Chicago at your home, Alden, in around 1984, (or possibly the Estes Park Colorado, near Boulder, Brown family in 1988??) and that I might have even visited this house sometime in the mid-1980s, with an address in hand. 

In any of your family documents, or recollections, or otherwise, do you have please knowledge of or a record of where my Mary Chadbourne Brown, middle sister of my grandfather grandpa Sandy Alexander Chadbourne Brown, my mother Jane's father, and older sister of Martha Briscoe, Alden's mother, might have lived in Berkeley, and before too? 

I hear classical music being played across the street from 752 Cragmont (such as my Grandpa Sandy Brown might have played), in a house, and just spoke with the owner of 759 Cragmont next door to this, who pulled up behind me, fiddle in hand in case, and who has been living there since around 1985! (and said a Nobel prize winner was living in her house prior to her), but who didn't know anything about Mary Chadbourne Brown (although she knew the people a bit in 752 Cragmont when she moved in).

Thoughts about where Mary Chadbourne Brown lived in Berkeley besides on Hillegas? (And how could we add all our documents to a Large Language Model for genealogy for history eg to be able to Gemini AI about such questions, with iterating data ... and e.g. in a #RealisticVirtualEarthForGenealogy at WUaS in the future, eg in a forked Google Street View with time slider ?::)

Am curious about Mary Chadbourne Brown's affect, her personality, her way of being too - Alden, Ma (Janie), others, recollections?
