To grow free CC4 licensed MIT OCW-centric WUaS-Google centric wiki World Univ & Sch in each of all 200 countries and in their main languages for free to students' AA and Bachelor degrees (and other university degrees) as well as wiki schools in all 7151 known living languages.
At the annual Education Partnership for Internationalizing Curriculum (EPIC) Symposium, community college faculty and administrators from across the U.S. will gather in person to discuss ways to prepare students for a world that is increasingly interconnected. Join us for our eighth annual symposium about the challenges and opportunities of developing global studies at community colleges.

The day will include presentations from Stanford faculty as well as community college professors who have collaborated with Stanford University partners to integrate international topics into their curricula. Presentations will feature adapted lesson plans and course material as well as strategies for reaching diverse student populations. This event is free and open to all community college faculty, administrators, librarians, and counselors.
Participants are invited to attend the in-person event on the Stanford campus. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for attendees. Registration is free but required for attendance (the deadline to register is May 12, 2023).

Have picked up a book again which Ed gave me 'The Overstory' a novel by Richard Powers (a MacArthur foundation recipient) ... And am reading a section about Pittsburgh and a Chinese Professor there ... Poignant
... Great terse focused Prose with 8 or 9 key protagonists... And a focus too on old growth forests and related eco-activism (was involved in the Cathedral Forest Action Group nonviolent environmental group in Portland Oregon in the early 1980s ... in relation to the Quaker Meeting and Reed College... Long time ago:) nice to step into this Library and to begin to get to know its collection ... Thanks for letting me know there are no rentals 8n Canyon, Ed! Helpful for planning on either possibly a good, safe cleaning up Canyon and with Law and law enforcement and state of California and federal government law processes, or to head for Cuttyhunk or New England.
Just went into the Orinda public library, beautiful (see below), masked, and am wondering if I remain here and in 200 years if I will still be going there. Contra Costa county has resources! Logged into the computer to search for Verdi opera on CD having read about it in 'The Overstory' book, listened to by Winston Ma (originally from China, then to Pgh and Illinois). But as I left and went to the restroom and a man came in with Shorts and a black mask ... Was he a library staff person in curious Contra Costa county with its governmental processes, and with the district 7 California state senator's office just across the freeway? Is all of Contra Costa county and Northern California seeking to clean up too ... And not sure what such a change of culture protecting the innocent people involves (and re my call for abolition)?
Who knows ... But if I do come into possession of 670A Ridgecrest Rd Canyon, am aware my criminal mentally ill former landlord knows this Contra Costa county culture well, and may be entangled with many male perpetrators ... All of him are somewhat organized and think strategically too (even re the tragic profit of the illegal drug and sex industries internationally) ... How to make safe such a house and Canyon and culture ? ... Who knows?

Hi from Rodeo Lagoon SF Bay Area! Happy day light savings' New Light time. .
Made a dash 3 times to evade the waves coming in as I walked along the beach's surf line at the end of a 3.5 miles' walk first north up into the hills and then south around the whole lagoon. I think the tide was coming in.
As I got to the end of the beach there were about 7 surfers still in the water, none standing on their boards, waiting for the next wave at 7:10 pm Pacific time, still winter on March 13th. One surfer got out and walked up to the parking area put his board by his vehicle, and went over to hang out with his friends, most with longish hair, about 8 guys. Camaraderie ...
As I walked further I saw a plump smart raven near the recycling and food supply occasionally cawing. I said hi. It didn't caw back ... don't know how to elicit a caw from a crow.
A woman walked by on a quite cool evening wearing very short white shorts and no jacket ... Was she showing her legs? ... Could she even be a park service officer?
My car parked next to the hills, above the other cars, but with drive space above me and other highest cars, ... a car drove by with a very colorfully dressed clown??? in it driving ... a trans person out to drive through Rodeo Lagoon, past the surfer guys ... ? Gaudy!
On the beach, earlier, I saw a bleach blond-haired woman with her partner, early to mid-20s, and a woman friend, jump on him frontwards to hug in happiness and in warm embrace as he responded and turned them 365 degrees around hugging her back. Was friend photographing them?
Other families with kids on the beach, with very diverse backgrounds ...
