How about turning some of your emails to A.B. or other friends into 1200 word weekly writing projects ? How's your weekend gone? 


Am curious, in learning about how block chain ledger works further, how in selling my Harbin ethnographic book to, say, students in a course I'm teaching, where each hypothetical PDF formatted copy I or the WUaS bookstore sells to each student could be a block in a NHE transaction record chain. This would allow resale too, so that upon a student reselling my 'Naked Harbin Ethnography' (NHE), a new block would be added to the NHE blockchain, thus preserving copyrighted intellectual property, (because both the books file format and the block in the chain were cryptographically coded locked) in a way that isn't really possible with PDF documents currently (and on the hardware side - someone has to buy an extra and special hardware device, like the Kindle, with its proprietary file format, to lock in their intellectual property to a specific copy of a specific book - and not many people have Kindle reading devices, and which could involve someone else having access to a Kindle and access to that file format for resale). i.e. such as bankers/lawyers etc. (3:20)

Dear Google User,
We are writing to inform you of a technical issue caused by a software update, which affected Google+ APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) between November 7th, 2018 PT and November 13th, 2018 PT when the issue was fixed. We have determined that the impact of this technical issue was limited to Google+ APIs that return profile information about users and resulted in two potential unintended effects:
  1. If you granted an app permission to view your profile information, such as name, email address, occupation, the app inadvertently was able to request and view more profile fields than you granted the app permission to view.
  2. If a person with whom you had shared profile information granted an app permission to view your public profile fields, that app was able to request and view your public profile fields as intended, but inadvertently was also able to request and view any profile fields you had shared with that person, including profile fields that you had shared with that person but not shared publicly.
This issue was limited to profile fields and did not give developers access to information such as financial data, national identification numbers, passwords, or similar data typically used for fraud or identity theft.
The issue was detected by our automated testing and fixed on November 13th 2018 PT. We have no evidence that the app developers who inadvertently had this access for six days were aware of it or misused it in any way.
For your information, we are attaching a list of the affected profile fields.
Please note that this issue was discussed in the Google+ blog post dated December 10th, 2018.

Should this be of concern? I don't think my helianth@gmail.com or its Profile - https://plus.google.com/u/0/+ScottMacLeodRainbow - and related 'profile fields' are in G-Suite even, although worlduniversityandschool@gmail.com and related emails are in G-Suite / Google for Education. And why I wonder is this notice sent 3 months after the event occurred. Thank you.

This is saying that if you have given permission to a Google Plus plugin App (I checked and the only one I had installed was a calendar of events that I gave permission to send me updates), and you give it permission to view, for example, your email address, it might also have gotten the ability to see your job title, say. There is no evidence that any apps actually did access this information.
