Dear Jim, (Manish and Frode),
Thanks for sharing this on Twitter - https://twitter.com/SRI_Intl/status/1296835989722333185?s=20, Jim (and Frode - https://twitter.com/Odegard/status/1295861784327458817?s=20). I signed up, received a confirmation email, but then Zoom asked for a password, which the email hadn't provided. Is there a video recording perchance of https://www.sri.com/deeptech-everywhere-building-disruptive-micro-organizations/events/ ? Congratulations on your 5 years' Presidency at SRI, Mamish (but I'm not sure I have your email address correct).
I wanted to ask about CC-4 MIT OCW-centric (in its 4 languages) wiki World Univ & Sch, which is planning to create major online Universities in all ~200 countries' official / main languages, and wiki schools for open teaching and learning in 7,117 known living languages, and regarding a WUaS Universal Translator which was my ISSIP Grand Challenge presentation in 2015 - http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2015/03/orchidaceae-wuas-1000-proposed-issip.html - for example. And World Univ & Sch also has a "WUaS home robotics" ' focus emerging with courses from - https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/experimental-study-group/es-293-lego-robotics-spring-2007/ - (and is an official 'carrier' of 3 Lego Robotics' kits - http://worlduniversityandschool.org/AcademicPress.html). I see, Manish, that you've served on a number of Boards of Robotics' companies - https://www.sri.com/bios/manish-kothari/. WUaS's robotics focus is even for facilitating learning machine learning:

Dear Scott,
Thank you for this. We have heard from two other people who had the same issue. Out of about 90 people registered, we had just under 30 people live. Usually we get about 50% attending live, but with LinkedIn registrants that ratio is lower because LinkedIn doesn’t make it easy to see when the event is being held.
So not everyone had this problem and we will be on the case to find the root cause and prevent going forward. Zoom has a bunch of usability issues, to put it mildly, , and Zoom’s behavior can also change depending on whether people are running the very latest version of their client.
But rest assured, we will get to the bottom of it, and there is a recording, so don’t worry.
We will probably be contacting you to get some data as we debug the issue.
Kind regards,
Frode

Frode, Jim, Manish,
Thanks so much for your reply, Frode. MIT OCW-centric Denmark World Univ & Sch will emerge from here - https://wiki. worlduniversityandschool.org/ wiki/Nation_States - in Danish, for free-to-students' MIT OCW-centric Bachelor, Ph.D., Law, MD (and IB high school degrees). And since MIT has neither a law school nor a medical school, the online MD degrees - https://wiki. worlduniversityandschool.org/ wiki/World_University_Medical_ School - with online teaching hospitals - https://wiki. worlduniversityandschool.org/ wiki/Hospital - (and for clinical research too), and online law degrees, may emerge from Stanford Law and Medicine. For India too, and first in Hindi (but planned for all 22 official / scheduled languages in India). See, the beginning online Law schools here:
Law Schools at World University and School (planned in main languages in them)
Afghanistan Law School at WUaS: https://wiki. worlduniversityandschool.org/ wiki/Afghanistan_Law_School_ at_WUaS

FAHE August Event: Reconsidering Quaker Higher Education
(Friends Association of Higher Education)
My apologies for duplication if you have already registered and received your Zoom link; just making sure that everyone on our mailing list has received word of the next event in the FAHE Quaker Leadings in HIgher Education Series:
Education has two roles that exist in a creative tension with each other: one role is to perpetuate the culture, and the other role is to stand in critical reflection on the culture. Quaker values stand in a similar creative tension in relation to the dominant structures of mainstream higher education. In this session, the presenters will share some thoughts on how Quaker thought and practice might help transform higher education and our wider society so that we, collectively, might better address the issues of social, racial, environmental, and economic justice facing our world today.
To Register: https://tinyurl.com/FAHE-O8- 25
Not too late to spread the word about this event and FAHE more generally.

Dear David, Gray, Jim, Walter, Laura, Stephen, Donn, and Walter,
Thanks very much for your excellent FAHE meeting today in Zoom, and great to hear and meet some of you anew.
Gray, with regards to online courseware, and even online Friendly-informed, universities and high schools, in all ~200 countries' official / main languages, what are your thoughts further about bringing, brainstorming-wise, a Friendly approach to MIT OpenCourseWare (in its 4 languages), and edX in its many languages? I appreciate you having mentioned Khan Academy in these regards, and I think the edX CEO and MIT Prof of EECS Anant Agarwal may look to Khan Academy in the development of edX. In developing MIT OCW-centric wiki World University & School, with plans to create online (Friendly-informed too) universities in ~200 nation states, and wiki schools in all 7,117 known living languages (whereas Wikipedia is in 300 languages), WUaS seeks reimbursement from all ~200 countries' departments of Education, for Bachelor, Ph.D., Law, and MD, as well as IB high school degrees, along the lines of what it costs to go to Haverford, Swarthmore, MIT, Stanford, Wesleyan, and similar great schools for free-to-students' university degrees. It's the CC-4 licensing of CC-4 MIT OCW which would allow WUaS to build on this OCW, which CC-4 licensing says one can 1) share it, 2) adapt it but 3) non-commercially. And it could benefit FAHE too, if FAHE were able to help focus, and regading people of color, and Blacks in Africa too, in Quaker higher education, the development of Kenya and Bolivia World Universities and Schools since Friends are numerous in these countries, I've read.
How might we ALL best further come into Friendly conversation about all of this?
Friendly regards,
Scott
