Am curious how remote learning can begin to flourish online, and not just at the high school and college/ university levels per CC-4 MIT OCW (and newly with edX re World Univ & Sch partnering) - but also on the WUaS wiki pages (in 200 countries & in their main languages!), for all ages potentially, as people wiki-add excellent online learning opportunities (like vetted remarkable home schooling opportunities) for example!

I would be happy to share my frustrations and accomplishments when it comes to what I have seen with distance learning. I think online learning can be very beneficial when done well. If you do decide to go down this path you might want to look at the differences between what CA public schools are doing vs. what traditional homeschool/ Charter public online schools are doing. What the public schools are doing right now is causing frustration for a bunch of reasons. One reason is the parents were not and are still not prepared for the task. With homeschool and the Charter public online schools. They provide the parents the teaching manuals along with the kids assignments. This is one way they are preparing parents to take over the role as the educator. I will not bore you with more details. I live this everyday so it is in the front of my mind. There are some really great homeschool/online programs out there you might want to look at.
