Thank you for the links. But can you really capture happiness/Eudaimonia/Nirvana through a formula? Don't think so. Happiness is mostly retrospective – I mean it exists in memory -- one thinks back about a time and realizes that one was happy. It is not a goal, so it is never in front of you.

Good morning! Just after I sent the email at 1:55am this morning, I went to the toilet, which is adjacent to Stephon Owens' room and the shared bathroom of him and frederic khayat - and heard someone quietly say "shit," the first time I think I've heard a word from that direction since 9/2/22 when I moved in (although I've heard music and a fan going from there etc). Craven frederic khayat reading an email from state of PA or federal legal processes or similar - in the bathroom ???? (a first hypothesis re an often 'emotionally controlled' frederic khayat, as a possible psychopathic soldier, either in a nation state's uniformed service or an extra-territorial 'insecurity cult' from switzerland and Lebanon???)

It was really good to connect further talking with Nita Dasgupta (with a philosophy PhD from India, and one from MN, age ~58)  after the great Pitt Philosophy talk with Sergey Frolov (with PHD from the Netherlands' TU Delft, and possibly from Russia originally) visiting here from the University of Texas El Paso (re western US 'desert' culture ... having lived in the western US much since 1979 myself) ... and originally from west Bengal, India (where my best friend from high school at SSA Pin Mazumdar and his parents were born, where both Sati and Mainak are retired Pitt professors, all in Baltimore MD now), before moving to the US when Nota was 35, and who is returning to UTEP after her academic sojourn at Pitt Philosophy in April.

I had said I would glance at it as we talked yesterday, and as I did, my abolition instincts grew with the language of "trading zones" in its title, and 2 possibly 'hsiwej" book blurbs. An economic focus to a philosophy book title on creativity far from global philodophy's academic centers seemed incongruous with Nita and my 2 conversations ... and makes me wonder further about the academic philodophy industry and the illegal sex and drug industrues and their latent networks of violence - re academic philosophy and organized crime even, possibly tragically from the 'ivory tower.'

Following on a number of emails with Pitt Philosophy's Colin Allen, the 2 recent speakers, Nita Dasgupta and Steven Gray (a fisheries' prof from Michigan and possible friend of Colin's), I had shared this with Bita ... re "HAPPINESS," an old theme in Philosophy too -

... but Hume wasn't a psychiatrist, and he lived in the 'turbulent' 1700s in Scotland and France etc, being born just after the "Act of Union" in 1707, where Scotland lost its independence to England, whereas Lacan MD was a MD psychoanalytic psychiatrist who lived through the 1960s and 1970s.

Just revisited and found this video of Lacan giving a public lecture in 1973, and appreciate in particular his interaction with the French hippy youth at about the 20 minutes' mark

but appreciate this Lacan talk in so many other ways. Lacan MD is amazing in some ways, but very French or Belgian too.
 

Looked up Lacan and psychopathology ... then psychopathology and murder, and found this article from the US justice department, theoretically:

Seems like a psychopathic? (criminal?) Craven soldier? frederic khayat could be a possible serious security risk - and possibly complicit in 2 murders of Jackson Shannon and Harold Tyler ... and  won't be evicted (per Ken this morning) ... And why is it so hard to find out what happened to the deceased Jackson Shannon and the disappeared Harold Tyler ... could this be the tragically unjust 'work' of a serial murderer, frederic khayat?

... so on with Yoga - in my abode - and especially use of language in writing about these psychopathologies (e.g. murderers???) ahead ...  Glad I made the police report to the city of Pgh police officers' on Thursday ...

Ken, wouldn't it make sense to find out from the police or similar what happened in the death of Jackson Shannon NYC and the disappearance of Harold Tyler ... before another serial murder might occur? Why is it so difficult to get an answer to how Jackson Shannon NYC died?
