Am glad he touches on Universal Basic Income (experiments?) but am wondering how long into the future Piketty (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Piketty) is envisioning this for nation states, especially regarding developments in aging reversal / longevity - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/longevity. Not very much analysis of the significance of the internet here whatsoever, although am wondering whether his parents could have known Manuel Castells in 1968 in Paris.

Minutes for Sat Feb 15, 2020 World University & School's Monthly Business Meeting * * * Minutes for Feb 15, 2020 WUaS Corporation Board Meeting - AAA & students

Info WorldUniversity

to Nimisha, Scott, Shahbaz, Larry, Anant

Hi Shahbaz, (and Anant, Nimishi, and Larry)

Thank you for your inquiry today again:
"I am delighted that you are moving closer to your goal. I just want to know whether I would have to travel to US to start my Degree program."

As a prospective undergraduate English major at MIT OCW-centric World University and School this autumn 2020 (since WUaS wasn't able to make courses available for credit this past January per your expressed interest and inquiries), these WUaS 4 year (licensing and accrediting) degrees would explicitly not involve traveling to the US to start your degree. (If you decided, for example, after 4 years and receiving your degree, to apply to and matriculate in the online WUaS Medical School, this might involve some travel outside India, but not necessarily to the US - e.g. brainstorming-wise, in academic Toyota Teaching Hospital Vans as medical schools with tele-robotic molecular surgery, and robotic CRISPR gene editing technologies).

I'd like to introduce you as well here to not only Anant Agarwal, CEO of edX, and MIT Prof of EECS, but also to Nimisha Asthagiri, edX’s Chief Architect - https://blog.edx.org/edx-insider-meet-nimisha/ - who also has a MIT BS degree in Engineering (EECS) from 1997. (And Larry Viehland is WUaS's chair of the Board, and also a MIT alumnus - from 1969 in chemistry/physics).

Sincerely, Scott

Hi Shahbaz, and Anant, Nimishi (and Larry)

again: Thank you for your inquiry today -
"I am delighted that you are moving closer to your goal. I just want to know whether I would have to travel to US to start my Degree program."

Regarding MIT OCW-centric World Univ & Sch developing WUaS courses available for credit for this autumn 2020 - something like CC-4 MIT OCW into MITx courses (of which there are presently 205 courses - https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/mitx-related-courseware/ ) - how might we, please, Anant and Nimishi, best make these courses available for WUaS 4 year (licensing and accrediting) degrees, and potentially not only for online undergraduate students and majors in English, but also for students majoring in General Engineering, Business, EECS, General Science, and History (all of which are WUaS's initial planned majors; see the majors and beginning, brainstorming-wise, MIT OCW here - http://worlduniversityandschool.org/)?

And, again, I'd like to introduce you as well here to not only Anant Agarwal, CEO of edX, and MIT Prof of EECS, but also to Nimisha Asthagiri, edX’s Chief Architect - https://blog.edx.org/edx-insider-meet-nimisha/ - who also has a MIT BS degree in Engineering (EECS) from 1997. (And Larry Viehland is WUaS's chair of the Board).

Nimishi, is there a way, please, we could begin to communicate about and explore developing courses in the autumn not only in English, for Shahbaz, but also in Engineering, and Business, all of which majors, WUaS has students interested in matriculating for. Thanks so much.

Thank you & Regards, Scott

Hi Shahbaz,

Thanks for your email. World Univ & Sch seeks to be as online as possible (with parallels to edX). WUaS is also seeking to facilitate a realistic virtual earth as digital classrooms and virtual campus (think Google Street View with time slider with Second Life with avatar bots, but realistic).. This realistic virtual earth for English would have much in common with a realistic virtual earth for history - https://twitter.com/hashtag/RealisticVirtualEarthForHistory?src=hashtag_click . But WUaS is not planning to offer a physical campus. With a free-to-students' (licensing and accrediting) CC-4 MIT OCW-centric WUaS undergraduate BA degree, one could then apply to MIT on-the-ground for a PhD, for example. By way of comparison, applying to, getting accepted at, matriculating at, and paying the tuition at MIT for example would probably be around $55,000/year pulse another $20,000 in living expenses, with scholarships and stipends available. (And as I wrote earlier, WUaS may innovatively in our medical schools seek to develop Toyota Teaching Hospital Vans which would be a kind of physical campus as well).

Where do you live in India?

Sincerely, Scott
