So nice to see you, Susan (my Scottish Country Dancing friend and Scottish-American friend from the 2nd half of the 1970s), a bit after 5 in your Northland Public Library, Pgh, - and what a nice surprise to see the beautiful little chicks that had just hatched in your part of the library. Thanks for showing them to me. New fluffy life like these 3 chicks is amazing!
While I came to Northland library to see if I could find an WSJ article on AI Large Language Models in Africa (see PPS below) that John Palfrey had tweeted about and for a chapter in my upcoming book tentatively entitled "Society, Information Technology, and the Global University" - and found and read this article on paper in your helpful library (whereas the day before at the Oakmont Carnegie Public Library I couldn't access either THE digital or paper M 5/8/23 WSJ issue with this) - seeing the newly hatched chicks as we talked made me wonder how a researcher could ADD genes back into these chicks to double their lifespans re aging reversal and longevity genetic drug therapies emerging -
(https://youtu.be/bnCEIPQFNnk). Turns out, chickens can live 10 - 12 years (see PS). Could we create hens that lay eggs for 24 years or longer? ... a bit differently from the goose that laid the golden egg! :)
JUST Received YESTERDAY too a first email from Kaiser Permanente NorCal inviting me to log in for a message from my PCP (Javier DeLeon MD) ... and with the option to select prescription updates. Wow, good to know I should have health coverage upon moving back into a newly safe Canyon 94516 on September 1 2023 - and regarding possibly getting prescription aging reversal and genetic drug therapies from KP well into the future (which I won't share with any chickens :) I might start to cultivate) and in the Physical-Digital WUaS Longevity Genetics' Institute up on the ridge in Canyon - and where you all have visited me ... Thank you ... and please come again)!
So nice to see you Susan, Head Young Persons' Librarian at Northland Public Library ! And thanks for coming to visit me in Canyon 94516 with your son Tim in around 2019!
Fond regards, Scott
Aging reversal genetic drugs, early ones, FDA approved, not before 2030?
"How Long Do Chickens Live? Chicken lifespans vary widely, with most hens generally living between 3 and 7 years. However, with ideal care, they may live even longer. If a chicken is kept safe from predators (including dogs) and doesn't have genetic issues, they can certainly live 10 to 12 years old."

"There have been a lot of discussions about the risks of AI, and I've been part of those discussions," he said. "But there are not enough discussions about what we need to do to put AI to really good use."
Over the years, the largest and most prestigious annual AI research conferences have typically been held in the U.S. or Canada, close to Silicon Valley, which remains an out-side force in AI research.
African researchers were often unable to attend as they had trouble getting visas, drawing criticism over an absence of their perspectives in developing one of the most powerful and transformative technologies.
Prominent researchers, including AI ethicist Timnit Gebru, have pointed to the concentration of research into a few dominant players in Silicon Valley and the lack of inclusion of non-Western researchers or those from marginalized groups. In 2017, Ms. Gebru, who grew up in Ethiopia before arriving in the U.S. as a refugee, founded an affinity group called Black in AI to bring more diversity into the community.
Rwanda typically gives visas to researchers, regardless of company or country. The country , marred by brutal genocide in 1994, is now a budding hub of African AI research through new research centers and government programs aimed at attracting international talent.
The resulting mix was a study in contrasts: Huawei employees chatted with Google counterparts despite U.S.-China tech tensions, resource-strapped academics lamented to friends at wealthy companies and African researchers challenged Western peers to look beyond the perspectives of coastal elites in developed countries.
On Friday, Ms. Gebru hosted a panel on the limitations of large language models - the technology that underpins ChatGPT - in handling African languages, which have been increasingly excluded from the digital world because of a lack of data needed for current AI technologies. Ms. Gebru gained public prominence when she said she was fired by Google after she co-wrote a paper criticizing the exploding impacts of such models, which also underpin Google's search engine. Internally, Google characterized her departure as a resignation.
During a separate panel, Vukosi Marivate, the data science chair at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and program chair of the conference, said African researchers were fighting the threat of losing their native languages. "We're racing against the clock" before English takes over and African languages cease to exist, he said after the event.

I continue to be concerned about the potential anger of criminal? stephon owens - who both today and yesterday has not been using the "Pure Drop Toilet Odor Eliminator" molecular solution having very strangely cut off all communication with me ... - and out of anger? (And of the anger of 'evicted' craven psychopath serial murderer? f khayat ... and could he be staying in the place across from the front door with the woman with the dog ... re even another possible murderous run through - and both to perpetuate the illegal sex and drug industries internationally and in cahoots with one another ... and even in cahoots with a corrupt? univ pitt med ctr 'resolve crises' group with the city of Pgh police? Nick, could you please ask Stephon Owens
if you are in communication with him to use the Pure Drop Toilet Odor Eliminator (a 1/2 bottle of which is still on my food shelf
- and invite stephon owens to see a MD psychiatrist for anger management, and since he has cut off most all communication with me?

Dear friends and lawyers' Nick Thompson & Shawn Flaherty, Sid/Pin Mazumdar (HHS), Susan Davis Claus, and univ pitt med ctr's David Demoise MD & Wesley Sowers MD, and Tufts' Med Ctr John Sargent MD, KP NorCal's Ed Smyth MD, All,
stephon owens - a light sleeper? - said from his room when I was up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom the words "every thing" ... why then and there, and who might he have been in communication with? Anything to do with World Univ & Sch calling for a Realistic Virtual Earth for Everything (at street view with time slider, cell and molecular levels ... and with Google Maps, Earth and TensorflowAI ) .... ? #RealisticVirtualEarthFor is a #hashtag on Twitter ...
The other day, the woman (kristy b?) with the dog came out of her room across from the front door ... acting a little like a higher primate ... and racistly???? ... and with echoes of the way the man (with his co-resident Karen) who was moved into the front porch room to move out the now deceased Jackson Shannon ... was acting once ... (This man was the one who told me Jackson Shannon was deceased by the mail boxes ... and as a possible threat ... like the way stephon owens sent me the obituary for Jackson Shannon ... and the craven, psychopath? mentally ill f. khayat had told me this man and karen were his 'friends' ... )
criminals? murderer? stephon owens (and 'evicted' craven, psychopath? serial murderer? f khayat) in cahoots with one another are awful co-denizens on this top floor ... Why, for example, is the Dippers' corn chip wrapper trash right in the middle of the counter where I usually put my tray to gather food onto this morning (and after my asking them to be thoughtful, and keep the kitchen and sink and sink dish drainer clean in the kitchen) ... (is this from intense symbolizer angry? murderer? s owens ? ... and even in cahoots with the craven psychopath? f. khayat ... possibly seeking to soak at Harbin Hot Springs, for ex. ? ) ... And what's with the trader joe's bag newly in the trash area too ... all for the benefit too of the possible livestream camera the 1st corrupt? which the univ pitt med ctr 'resolve f.k.'s irresolvable crises" 2nd of 2 lurking policeman installed in the kitchen ? And how does or could trader joe's networks of latent violence and regarding the illegal sex and drug industries play out in various US states (PA, CA etc) and regarding IT, and law and law enforcement too ... (my having not worn my bandana mask in the near-to-Google trader joe's for the first time ever ... and regarding their surveillance cameras and i.t. too)? ... and re possible networks with even Google, T-Mobile, american tower company, British Telecom etc.
Calling for abolition of the illegal sex and drug industries internationally, and their latent networks of violence at World Univ & Sch and to protect people, and where I've seen people, mostly women, whom I think could have been prostitutes in trader joes both in the nearby Pgh store, and in California trader joes ...
How are the police inquiries into the death of Jackson Shannon, the disappeared Harold Tyler, whomever Emily Killer is, and into the corrupt? univ pitt med ctr's 'resolve crisis' groups with city of Pittsburgh police going?
Seeking to protect people at MIT OCW-centric wiki World Univ & Sch - all 7.9 billion people each a Wikidata PIN # ...https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/You_at_World_University - and from organized crime and in calling for the abolition of the illegal sex, drug, exotic animals, weapons, etc. industries and their latent networks of violence.
Glad a newly safe 670 Ridgecrest Rd Canyon 94516 place may be emerging, and regarding legal processes too ... thanks to the email from Kaiser Pemanente Nor Cal yesterday, and with potential health coverage beginning this autumn in the SF Bay Area.
Perhaps things like monies for WUaS to accredit and re retirement monies too (not only for me but for all 2.5 million people WUaS seeks to employ in 75 years will be emerging after I potentially come into ownership of this house ... and thanks to Ed Smyth MD and John Sargent MD).
Friendly greetings, abolition-ally, thanks, best wishes, Scott

I spoke with Eckhart twice I think after the Fukushima Triple Core Nuclear Meltdown in 2011.

And, having lived not that far away from the Hanford Nuclear Site in the state of Washington, while at Reed College and in Portland Oregon from about 1979-1987, and which Hanford still spewing its toxic waste into the Columbia river, since 1948, I looked up with Google about "Hanford WA nuclear leaks and cancer" ... and found these (which were actually blacked out in my sgkmacleod@worlduniversityandschool Google Education email accounts' draft email with probably artificial intelligence - a little like being censored - in their formatted state ... but which I unformatted to make them readable ... and am adding them also to my blog post today, as a further publishing of World Univ & Sch' no nuclear orientation ... Hanford WA nuclear leaks and cancer
Abstract. A community-based health survey for the time period between 1944 and 1995 was collected from 801 individuals who had lived downwind of the U.S. plutonium production facility located in Hanford, Washington. The results of the survey revealed high incidences of all cancers, including thyroid cancer.

Nearly 60% of Hanford workers have reported exposure to hazardous materials, the article states. And workers aren't the only ones at risk. What is the largest problem at the Hanford Site today? And it continued producing plutonium for weapons for decades after the war, helping to fuel the Cold War nuclear arms race.
