That is a profound question. The Bhagavad Gita is often called the book of yoga because it provides a comprehensive map for the human mind and soul, rather than just physical poses. It takes the word yoga back to its root meaning, which is to yoke or connect.

In the middle of a literal and metaphorical battlefield, Krishna outlines different paths for this connection based on a person's temperament. There is Karma Yoga for the man of action, Bhakti Yoga for the heart, Raja Yoga for the meditative mind, and Jnana Yoga for the intellectual. It suggests that every aspect of life, even a moment of crisis, is an opportunity for practice. Essentially, it teaches that yoga is a state of being and skill in action, rather than just something you do on a mat. Does one of those specific paths resonate more with how you navigate your own day?
